I'd like to see their abilities, too, but I doubt it'll happen. Like Pinkie said, she just lets Twilight do everything. We do know that they control the sun and moon, which used to take a third of the world's population to do. I don't really even know what abilities they would have the opportunity to show off, other than lifting really heavy things. Although Luna shape-shifted in Luna Eclipsed, so I suppose we could see some magic transforming or something... What if the dragon in dragonshy was just Celestia in disguise? Same with the hydra. Or any other villain. We never see any of them in the same room together (unless you count glass discord).

What Pinkie said, though it really depends on the parents. But if they truly love you, they won't care anyway. At least not until you start buying merch. My dad watches the show with me, but I'm still not confident enough to ask him for a ride to Walmart for a blind-bag.
