  1. Was that the voice of Niko Bellic?
  2. Finally got Oblivion GOTY on Steam, it's good but it's gonna take some time to get used to.
  3. You're right, it did
  4. EPISODE 8 IS OUT! The Courier meets the Powder Gangers, but they're not quite what he was expecting... PS: turns out the video was being processed all along, it just didn't show the progress for some reason. Lesson of the day - BE MORE PATIENT
  5. Quick update on the status of Episode 8: Youtube isn't cooperating for some reason. It's uploaded but it's not being processed. I'll make an announcement as soon as I can see it on my channel, but don't be surprised if you don't hear from me till tomorrow.
  6. lol virtually everyone's going to say Skyrim
  7. Welcome Carl and everyone else I've missed since the last time I looked at this topic! Enjoy your stay
  8. Did you get it on disc or from steam? Apparently so many people were simultaneously downloading it, it didn't matter how good your connection is.
  9. I've just seen ign's review. Seems like it's going to be worth waiting for a bit while both the devs and the modding community come up with bug fixes (there are still quite a bit ). But apparently it's no where near as unstable as Oblivion and, dear God, New Vegas.
  10. I just saw the most epic quote I've seen on youtube for a long time: "You want to become a leader ? Go Morrowind ! You want to become a hero ? Go Oblivion ! You want to become a legend ? Go SKyrim !"
  11. Good point, I've actually been doing that in the vid descriptions on Youtube, but I guess there's no reason why I can't post them here too
  12. EPISODE 7 IS OUT!! Mostly dialogue in this episode.
  13. This franchise is gonna be the end of me
  14. lol the thing is I'm planning to play through Oblivion before Skyrim, so I won't be slaying dragons for some time yet. I can't believe it's taken me so long to even consider getting into the Elder Scrolls franchise. I think it's the fact that I'm naturally repellent to fantasy RPGs, but hopefully that 'fear' will end soon . PLEASE let there be a sale on Steam for Oblivion GOTY when Skyrim releases! Oh and I'm pretty sure Skyrim will get a LOT of patches and a LOT of DLC/plugins judging by Oblivion's history. And of course, there will be a Unofficial Skyrim patch, which will fix more bugs than all the official patches put together
  15. Nah, as long as things don't FALL THROUGH a table when you take something off it . Oh and '4 moar days'? I'm assuming you're referring to skyrim?
  16. I sincerely hope it won't inherit the bugs as well
  17. The Gamebyro engine was never great at complex character animations. I don't know if you tried Dead Money, New Vegas's first DLC, but there's a character in it that's supposed to be mute and therefore communicate through sign language and facial expressions. But the problem is the engine couldn't support animations like that so what you actually end up doing is reading the subtitles, which are 'describing' what she's 'saying', if you know what I mean. Come to think of it, that's gonna be tricky to explain when and if I ever get that far with my series
  18. Here's to hope that Skyrim and subsequently Fallout 4 will be equally as friendly to modders. Have you played Oblivion, btw? Is it any good?
  19. True, mods can make this game SO much better.
  20. Thanks, I think I'll get the voice more consistent with practice. I've never really done any significant voice acting before. As for the NPCs, I've seen other attempts at Fallout mind series where the character simply click through the dialogue options instead of actually saying something, which always put me off.
  21. What pisses me off about Broken Steel is that it's basically one of those DLCs that says 'it's optional, but you'll be a real idiot not to get it'. It solves a problem that should never have existed in the first place. But at least Fallout 3 tried to remedy this, New Vegas never intended for post ending play right from the start
  22. GTA is a bit like the Sims in the sense that anyone playing the game will eventually end up abandoning the missions and simply go on a killing spree. That's kind of the point of sandbox games, tbh. Personally, I know for a fact that San andreas in this version won't be as big as we remember simply because it would demand unreasonable amount of space on the disc. I think I read somewhere that it's mainly just Los Santos and some 'surrounding' areas, so don't expect to see San Ferro or Las Venturas any time soon
  23. tbh I think the lack of sexual content was least of Fallout 3's problems. Make no mistake, it's still one of my all time favourite games, but some of the problems it had were truly glaring e.g. horrendous list of bugs, surprisingly 'meh' story and the fact that DC is actually just a huge maze thanks to all the collapsed buildings and debris blocking the road.
  24. That's why you MUST get Broken Steel DLC, it will continue with the game's ending and allow you to keep playing indefinitely. But as for sexual content, I found it very funny how in this day and age we can accept a game that's centred around nuclear holocaust with the option to literally detonate one, the possibility of becoming a slaver, the blatant abuse of drugs and alcohol etc and not to mention the freedom of killing every single person you see (apart from children)... and yet the moment you add skin of any amount and it instantly get labelled as 'obscene' material
  25. True, I forgot about that. But then again, the crudeness was embedded into its core, it was a fundamental aspect of the franchise, which I'm not sure is necessarily the case with Fallout.
