lol all of my subscribers are asking me when I'm gonna do OWB as well. tbh it'll be some time yet. And btw, the last 3 episodes of season 3 are probably some of my best episodes, I'm not sure how and when I can top them.

I'm just glad that you don't have to hold down shift to WALK in this mod. Dear God, in the original Half Life, I felt like I was gliding around on greased floors all the time.

Maybe it was the case in the original half life, but I was a little disappointed by how few times you encounter the Black Ops in this mod. I was about to say that they should've had a few scripted scenes to show Black Ops killing the marines as a nice little tie-in with Opposing Force, but I'd be happy if they just let me see the Black Ops at all for a few more times.

Yeah, I once thought it would be possible (if you're patient enough) to go through Black Mesa and superimpose the lines in FM on top of the footage. But even if all the enemies spawned at the right moments and you get the timing exactly right etc, a lot of the jokes simply wouldn't make sense any more. Hell, some of the smaller areas are actually missing (Can't actually think of any off the top of my head, but a few of the levels definitely felt 'shorter' than I remembered).

During the first few levels, I couldn't help but wonder what Ross would've said if he started FM in this mod.

Looking back on it, I actually kind of like the fact that the crowbar is found a bit later on in the level, it actually made that part of the game a lot more tense. Plus I appreciate that first guard a lot more than I would've otherwise and felt a lot more helpless when he inevitably got killed (but then again you get his gun after that so something good came out of it I guess). And unless I missed an earlier one, I found it ironic that the first shotgun you find in this mod is also the first shotgun Freeman eventually gets in the mind series.

It was for me, it wasn't consistent either: sometimes it's 3 shots, sometimes it's 4. Considering the lower capacity, this can get slightly annoying.

Oh please, you can barely hear what they're saying usually. And even at the time when you hear them talking during On A Rail it's not THAT bad. Really, the whole hate with the voices is such an overreaction. I spent more time worrying how I'm gonna survive the next area over how bad the voices were, and they weren't, really. They do repeat lines a LOT though. I can't count how many times I've heard one of them say: "Do it". I'm not even sure what the hell that's supposed to mean given the context. Considering this is version 1 of the mod, I'm hoping they'll eventually release some kind of alternative voice pack for people who genuinely hate the soldier's voice.

Just finished it. This is easily the best mod I've ever played. I can't wait for the Xen sections!
