  1. I think you'd be stupid not to finish this. You have the opportunity to make thousands of dollars here. Some of the TF2 hat makers have gotten like $50,000 per item.
  2. Objective comments: So far, about a third of voters (and pretty much half of those who care) dislike them enough to vote No. Surely leaving it the same is not really going to upset "Yes" voters very much — whereas adding something unwanted is going to keep irritating the significant proportion of "No" voters for the rest of the series. Full disclosure: I'm a "No" voter but I think the vote should be weighted in favour of "no change", like a great many civil and political projects are in the real world. Alternatively, disregard the vote and just release both. It can't be that difficult to keep the dubbing in a separate track and output two versions, can it? Subjective comments: My personal opinion is that they're "just not very Half-Life". Add that to the poor execution and woefully anachronistic Poison Headcrab sound, and it's very jarring and uncomfortable for me.

    Oops

Ross, seems like you got this one covered. I just wanted to say, if it really was only a few drops that made it inside, then you're supremely unlucky to have fried something. Agree with your diagnosis that fast fans = dead mobo, alive PSU.

  5. They're obviously making jump pads.
  6. "I like what I like" may be tautology in a literal interpretation of language, but in context it's useful to illustrate the contrast between that viewpoint and less independent, more derivative ones.
  7. I have the solution for nVidia Control Panel not remembering settings under Win7. I've had settings not being remembered on different PCs: • Dual monitor positioning at home • Unsupported refresh rate at home • Dual monitor resolution at work • Other various niggles My home GFX was an 8800GS, and at work I have an 8600. With your's being a 9800, I think it may be an issue with the G92 chip... Anyway, the solution is to remove the monitor detect pin from your cable. I know it sounds drastic and like it has nothing to do with the issue, but give it a try. You'll be AMAZED when it works. All my display problems cleared up when I did it. Here's the correct pin(s) for DVI & VGA: Either be careful, or do it on an extension cable or an adaptor!
