  6. You're absolutely correct. lol ... XutYffQy4Ag The dumbell grunting in the first few seconds is eerily reminiscent of a Doom "hurt" sound effect. Reminded me of the Heretic 'hurt' sound

  12. It's been a while since I seen that ST movie, so from your avatar I thought he was holding up two finger guns. Only after finding that other one I saw it was actually an apple. <.
  13. I'd gamble with those odds.
  14. Thank you Mr. Computer Scientist. I'll take your advice and forward it to my server admin. On an unrelated note, next time I create a bug, I'm gonna lol at my boss, tell him to cry more and tell him it's beta.

But I do want to mention that I occasionally have the forum log me out between page navigations. It happened a few moments ago and I noticed this a little too late after entering my log on credentials at the board index page, but the security identifier was displayed in the URL. (sid=3f********1edff98ec********ea***). Any board security concerns from the admins lately? Edit 2: It happened again after trying to update this post, I was asked to log in again. This time I was directed to an SQL error page:
  17. After all the hours of watching and years of waiting, the final Freeman's Mind episode has come, and brought the series to an end... I am glad that I am still alive. 340 million people died since the series' inception in 2007, how many of those started watching it and never got to see the end?
  18. This is me commenting on episode 63
  19. This thread could just have been a nostalgia discussion, because if anything, ^ those games just bring me back to others that aren't particularly top down. And maybe someone will stumble upon this page later and find a game they haven't seen in ages. Like Secret Agent or Jazz Jackrabbit
  20. In the late 80's to early 90's we had MUDs and Labyrinth crawlers. We've got Rogue Snarf Pharaoh's Tomb and later with the advent of Windows, came Rodent's Revenge. Games that were supported on unix and old Dos systems were what ushered some of us into the world of games. And as anyone that remembers playing games of this sort, these simple but solid games chartered a course for years of watching gaming evolution and enjoyment. I'm sure that some people here won't go as far back as these games, but surely many here might have heard of later games like Chips Challenge and Ski Free. Not as obscure in those days, but old and mostly unmentioned of these days. But, on the positive side, a lot of these are now available online.
  21. To hell with it, here's a few more. 7. Terminal Velocity 8. Descent I and II 9. Heretic - One of the first FPS games I played all the way through at the hardest difficulty. 10. Blood - I live again.
  22. I played the hell out of that game back in grade school. I've had the OST uploaded on my android to bring back the nostalgia. The menu theme might make a good ring-tone? maybe? There are 3 games that came to mind today, I can't place my reasoning why something brought them to my attenion... (probably glanced at my big box of PCGamer magazines in storage <.< I might actually run a dosbox version of one of these games this weekend. But i'm really only posting them out of nostalgia. 1. Legacy of Kain - Blood Omen. - I remember I played this game before Diablo I came out. From what I remember, I found the dark rainy atmosphere to be just beyond awesome in my early gaming experience. 2. Whiplash (aka Fatal Racing) - Spent hours playing this when my aunt was visiting. 2.5. Screamer 2 - I liked 1 track and that was it because I only had the demo 3. Wacky Wheels - Just brightly colored cart racing fun. 4. God of Thunder - Took me forever to find this game after over a decade of not being able to find it, and I never completed it when I was a kid because it was just too hard. 5. Time Warriors - A really buggy version of a Tekken inspired fighting game. 6. Shadow Warrior - It's Fucking Shadow Warrior! 7. Dark Forces - It seemed like it was more fun than it really was. I'll stop there before any more come into my head.
  23. Regarding the voice acoustics matter, it isn't that noticeable of an issue (for me and my headphones anyway). But because you're outside, in a different environment, the 'air' may make it sound different than if you were in the arid environment of New Mexico, or within the institution walls of Black Mesa. I'd like to think of the acoustics as a refreshing variable influenced by its environment, rather than a recording quality issue. By the way, I've noticed some people might have a problem with this as a finale for Gordon. I 'd be fine with this ending, after Freeman's 2-3 day expedition throughout Black Mesa. Particularly since his world is orbiting a black hole (lol Interstellar), our witness of Freeman's Mind have been expanded to 7+ years in our world. This is the ending Gordon Freeman wants, but not the one we need; and that is fine with me.
  24. Saw Interstellar last night (good rating/10), and saw this commercial for Greyhound that reminded me of Ross for some reason... Possibly the smoldering effect. oIBYX9umHr0
