  1. LrL8ybvDSkA Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro making a Silent Hill game sounds like a match made in heaven for a horror game focused on storytelling and psychological terror. I'm glad that they seemed to have dropped the whole "OOGITY BOOGITY BOO LOUD NOISES FLESH MONSTER" schtick. Definitely going to give this a look.

GUESS THIS MEANS WE'LL HAVE TO PUT YOU BACK IN THE SPECIAL ED CLASS AGAIN WITH THE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T EVEN BREATH ON THEIR OWN, LET ALONE FIND THE GREATEST COMMON FACTOR! Fuck that noise.

There hasn't been much on the machinima scene lately, new fans will come along but in fewer numbers. As long as Ross continues to put out funny stuff his hardcore fans won't let this site die. If you were a soup, what soup would you be? (Guess the reference)

  8. Here's my 2 cents on things: I don't think we need gun control. Guns are just an issue the media blows out of proportion to get ratings while the people are in hysterics. The politicians use these "issues" as a platform for their own careers, passing all sorts of arbitrary laws to give the impression that they are trying to solve the issue, when in reality they don't give a damn. If you want to curb the violent crimes, you need to look for the reason why everybody is killing each other, not what they are killing each other with. The U.S. has a lot of unresolved social and economic issues, but party politics and a crippled economy have divided the nation and made us blind. Mandatory training doesn't sound like a bad idea to me however.

  10. Read an article today on Huffington Post about that soldier who got beheaded in Woolwich. I can't believe that something like that could happen in broad daylight, and nobody tried to stop it.
  11. The wait was worth it, awesome episode as always! That Pirates of Penzance reference kinda came out of left field, but Freeman's supposed to be a sociopathic genius, so it fits his character.
  12. I played violin for a year, trumpet for two and baritone for half a school year. Tbh, I despise brass instruments. The only reason why I learned to play was because taking a full year of music was a requirement in our school district. I prefer singing above all else. I'm planning on learning how to play the piano over the summer.
  13. I love to dance and sing, but I'm 6,1 and about 200 lbs, so I don't look like that type of person. I love imperial war history, and could give you a short lecture about the British army's adoption of the Pattern 1908 Mills webbing.

We've brought it up with the heads a few times but they want to give him a chance. I don't know the kid personally so if he has some behavioral problems, I wouldn't want to be too harsh with him if that turned out to be the case. However, the fact that he hasn't at least tried to change his attitude shows that he isn't taking this as seriously as he should. He's still studying beginner Java. (something which we finished going over in late december.) We can't just stop what we're doing and teach him how to do that stuff now, ain't nobody got time for that!

There are two types of highschoolers. The kind who are polite and respectful and realize that they're surrounded by people who are almost completely different than them, and the douches who talk about shit nobody gives a damn about and act like life's a neverending frathouse party. Middle school brings out the worst in kids and high school cements that behavior into them. Honestly, I have met some pretty conceited people, but this guy takes the cake. I have to work with the most annoying weaboo I have ever met. Whenever he's told to do work, he either complains or he ignores the instructors and watches anime on his laptop. When he's told to get back to work, he insults us! Worst of all, he never shuts up! He's always brown nosing the head instructors and making stupid jokes. He even threatened to fight me once because I called him out when he was ranting about something that had nothing to do with the task at hand. He sits around and plays with the scrap metal and tools we use to build and repair things. He's going to end up breaking a computer, and most of them are ours. If I had a laptop, I wouldn't bother bringing it with me because he'll end up breaking it. If he keeps doing this he'll probably get kicked out, or at least moved to a different department, but honestly, I think he should get kicked out. He's supposed to be a programmer but he knows next to nothing about programming. I wouldn't expect his work ethic to change if he was moved. TL;DR Coworker doing everything but work.
  19. Opposites attract, so obviously you need to become a phone. Our friendly neighborhood cult is having a block party. what should I bring to the bbq?
  20. I like the pistol sound in this version. The Glock in the finished version sounded a little too powerful for a 9mm. It would make sense to have a silencer on the MP5 because you would go deaf from firing it in a metal corridor. The environment looks a little too futuristic though. Reminds me of Quake where everything looked brown and dirty, everything here is metal and clean. Weapon and enemy attack animations are either unfinished or not present, bizzare and illogical architecture, NPCs look like they are made out of clay, texture artifacts and glitches. At first it seemed poorly constructed but then I remembered that it's a pre build of a game from the late 90's so it's excusable. Especially since the finished version left an such an impact on the industry. Looks like Gordon isn't wearing an HEV suit. I wonder if they didn't model it yet or if it was added in later.
  21. MGS Reveangence and Ground Zeros, though I doubt the latter will be out this year. I can't wait to see what the Fox engine can do for the industry. GTA V Fallout 4. Hopefully they'll use Skyrim's engine on this. It'd be awesome if I could play a Bethesda title for more than 30 minutes a session.

This happens everytime a tragedy hits us. We point fingers and play the blame game. Videogames are an easy target for the ignorant. We treat the mentally ill so poorly in this country. Seems to me like we'd rather put them away in under-funded care facilities and pretend they don't exist, rather than actually help them. If we could just stop bitching about taxes, then things like this wouldn't happen as much. We are so apathetic it's almost disturbing. There are so many glaring problems that could be so easily fixed.

At this point I just can't stand listening to people telling us who to vote for. Nobody is completely trustworthy, and there isn't a single canidate i completely agree with. Politicians don't work for the good of the people anymore. They just mudsling and pander to their rabid bases and cater to private companies. All information must be taken with cynicism, and be checked for bias and reliability. The Republican party seems to be comprised of mental patients and procrastinators and the third parties have a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected. The Democrats seem to be the only stable party but they back down too easily.

I met some seemingly wonderful people at the start of the school year and now they already dislike me. At first it seemed like we were getting along great and then out of nowhere they develop this infuriating sense of superiority. Talking slow to me like I'm stupid and being rude. I would talk to them about it but I get the feeling that they wouldn't understand. I think they aren't doing it on purpose but it just pisses me off. I'm worried that if I do bring it up I'll sound like an ass.
