  1. Not everyone who posts excessively about porn and viagra is a spam bot. Some of us call that making polite conversation.
  2. I guess it depends what kind of chemicals they're made of. The blood of earth mammals tastes and smells like metal, because of its iron content. I was never allowed to take chemistry in school, so I can't think of what could be in a headcrab's blood that might explain the colour. Maybe sulfur? Sulfur smells like rotten eggs, or old piss. The blood usually gets drained from an animal before it's butchered, but yeah... I can't imagine that the meat is going to taste very nice to a human.
  3. The same way he survives without a pitchfork or an orangutan. Perseverance.
  4. Oh jeez, you kill one lousy security guard and suddenly everyone thinks you're an unreasonable lunatic.
  5. He'd probably go and live in some shit-hole country where no one would ever look for him. If he stayed in America, I can't imagine him ever being able to shake the fear of being visited by a representitive of some government agency or another. That's no way to live.
  6. If I burn myself or something, I tend to howl out various cries and obscenities whether there's anyone around or not. Doubly so in adrenaline-packed encounters with life obstacles such as wasps. I don't think it would be unrealistic. Unreasonable, maybe. But one man's reason is another man's... Thing that isn't there.
  7. That's no excuse. I've seen supposedly artistic movies that begin showing at film festivals and stuff, and some of them are really good. Buried was just bad in general. I'm amazed that it gets rated so highly by some... "People"... Although I'm not sure if trendwhores actually count as people. Perhaps my amazement is unwarranted.
  8. "Buried" is the worst movie I've ever seen. A guy laying in a coffin for an hour and a half, breathing heavily, in the dark. NOTHING. ELSE. HAPPENS.
  9. Common sense dictates that if someone replies to him directly, you can safely deduce that he spoke out loud, and likewise you can deduce that he wasn't speaking out loud if no one heard him. Whether it is vocal or mental doesn't matter at all in situations where there is not already an implication that it is one or the other. Seems kind of pointless to even think about it.
  10. This quote is all the evidence that I need to prove that I don't need to address anything that you have just said. A person who believes that unscientific thought is as valid as scientific thought is simply not worth my time, or anyone else's time for that matter. You're the one who brought it up. Me saying that religion is stupid is no more off topic than you originally saying that it isn't. When the point IS that "religion is stupid", there is no other way to get that point across than to express it. Dancing around the issue and trying to sugar-coat it, to disguise the point and make it appear more pleasant than it is, only serves to distract away from the point and distort its true meaning. There is nothing to gain in promoting this kind of censorship, just for the sake of protecting foolish sensitivities surrounding fallacious belief systems based on lies and idiotic fairy tale nonsense. Why should we edit our species' definition of "intelligence", and dumb it down to include forms of stupidity, just for the sake of keeping the hordes of stupid people happy? If a kid does badly on a history test, by writing a report about President Richard Nixon defending earth from lunar pirate dragons, does the school system decide to just change the history books to include this legendary event? So that we don't have to call the kid unintelligent and hurt his feelings? No. They face reality and tell him he failed the test. The level of sugar-coating that an opinion has holds no bearing on its factual validity, as I've already said. And yes, I would say that believing otherwise is stupid, but calling a way of thought "stupid" isn't necessarily insulting anyone. That's just calling a spade a spade. If a person comes along and chooses to use that stupid spade even while I'm calling it stupid, then that is their decision to engage in such a stupid act, and it's not my fault at all if their actions place them in the category of "stupid". They could just as easily choose a less stupid course of action, if they so desperately wanted to avoid falling into that category. Simply moving the intellectual goal-posts to accomodate them instead is really not helping anyone. I don't make the rules.
  11. I'd expect him to think that he's hallucinating in some way. All of the events will probably start noticably taking a toll on his mind before he even gets to that part.
  12. I'm sorry if the truth hurts and comes across as insulting, but it's a fact. Believing in things which have no evidence to support a belief in their existence is "outright idiotic". It is the very definition of unscientific thought. The categorization of something as being intelligent or unintelligent, is not decided by whether or not someone's feelings will get hurt. It is decided by how well it conforms to accepted logical and rational standards. If someone was taught to believe that jumping off a cliff was good for their health, you would say we shouldn't tell them that it's an unintelligent thing to believe, because they might get upset. And I have to laugh at this hypocritical nonsense about not being a "jerk" while you all ravenously leap at any opportunity you can find to try and give someone little negative "rep" comments. Ironically, this only shows a further lack of intelligence.
  13. No there isn't.
  14. What if George Carlin was resurrected from the dead and helped Andrew Hussie to help Erik Wolpaw help Ross Scott write Freeman's mind?
  15. One is the straight man and the other is the foil... You need both of them for it to work.
  16. "Of course you can't die in peaceful silence, that would be too easy. You have to get driven insane by the moaning of an Elder God and then suffocate in what I assume is its flatulence." Yep... Isn't that always the way...
  17. PTSD is only really an issue when you go back to "ordinary" human life afterwards. If you remain in the traumatic situation then your hyper stressed mentality isn't actually a disorder, it's perfectly fitting for the circumstances. And since Freeman isn't going to be living in white-picket-fence-suburbia any time soon, and is in fact going to continue living as a fugitive in an alien-infested world, it will be completely rational and reasonable for him to run around in a heightened state of alertness, screaming and shooting at everything he sees.
  18. The most recent flash update on mspaintadventures, "cascade", is the most wonderous thing I have ever seen. That story never ceases to blow holes in the holes that it already blew in my mind.
  19. It's only a crime when they have evidence.
  20. It's pointless to have this debate... The opposing side never knows what they're talking about, and they just list all of the pieces of misinformation that they've been blindly led to believe throughout their childhoods. You're never going to convince an ignorant non-user that they don't know anything about drugs, because if they were rationally-minded enough to be capable of understanding that then they wouldn't be trying to argue about something that they have no experience of and know absolutely nothing about. It's like someone who's never even seen water, trying to tell you the best way to swim. There's just no point arguing with anyone dumb enough to try and express opinions that they don't even have. Their heads are just full of trash that someone else put in there, and they'll never consider you to be more credible than the mommy or the tv character or the "scientist" who inserted it.
  21. This is an old thread, but I still feel compelled to say that Homestuck is the greatest series of all time, in any media format.
  22. As in "having or showing a merry, lively mood."? Why yes! It's hard to take this seriously when it's a carbon copy of a shallow insult people use for just about anything they don't like, thinking it's an intelligent reason. You're also here. In the pony thread. Watch it before you judge it, you can start here -qOoYUF9vK4 i'm not coming to you as if you've broken a rule, i'm just saying please don't use the word "gay" to describe something you think is stupid...
  23. If you can fix it then you should just fix it. I don't see the dilema.
  24. This is so very gay.
  25. I've watched some of this guy's recent videos, and I'm wondering what you guys are all so excited about. CP is already of a far higher quality than anything that he's been doing.
