Say you start a legal fund on Kickstarter; I know people would contribute. The resentment against Machinima alone would be enough to garner you a couple thousand. Not that I'm suggesting that you do this, mind you. IANAL and TINLA, etc..
-
I can't imagine it would be anything serious, but if it is, it would be an absolutely poor judgment call on their part. I have heard so many people say that Freeman's Mind is one of the few good series that Machinima has to offer.
-
I don't believe that there's a formula or method of figuring out whether or not what Freeman articulates is dialogue or thoughts; I think Ross just writes what seems funniest.
-
It's been a while, but I think I can identify all of the characters/images in that list. Even Snake Logan from BioMenace. Does anyone else even remember that demonic game?

Everyone is trying to kill Gordon Freeman....
MadDogBV replied to ProHypster's topic in Freeman's Mind
PTSD? Not so much, I think, though he will definitely have nightmares about the screeching Houndeyes. And he probably won't eat Doritos again. -
Could Freemans Lougie Have changed the outcome?
MadDogBV replied to Numb.erz94's topic in Freeman's Mind
I think the loogie might actually have prevented the resonance cascade. The scientists were triumphantly claiming that the sample they received was the purest yet, and thus, the most unstable. Freeman's DNA undoubtedly would have ruined the purity of the sample. Thus, the results would have been considerably inaccurate, but it most likely would not have caused the resonance cascade (though mechanical failure did have some contribution to the disaster as well, think of the "it's about to go critical" scene). Of course, Freeman probably would have been fired - if not for spitting into the spectrometer, then at the very least for showing up to work a full thirty minutes late. -
Everyone is trying to kill Gordon Freeman....

I need to go through the entire collection of episodes again and compile a rap sheet of federal/state crimes that Gordon Freeman has committed in his little expedition through Black Mesa. I think there have to be a few OSHA violations in there too. -
I did too, probably around when Freeman's Mind first started. I even contacted Ross Scott about my idea, but we both realized that Nukem already litters the ambience with his own series of one-liners to break the silence, and it's kind of difficult to top the original Duke Nukem at his own game. It's hard to come across a good Duke Nukem impersonation that's not inherently cliched or half-hearted.

I've no love for Facebook.

Ross Scott voice Gordon Freeman outside of FM?
MadDogBV replied to underdog250's topic in Freeman's Mind
I mean, you can count the brief cameo in episode 1 of Barney's Mind, but the context of that episode was in the Freeman's Mind universe, so that may not apply. -
How can you possibly know all of this?

I want to make something that's protec(This part of comment removed due to copyleft infringement.) Hey, I copylefted this comment before you posted it!
-
Would you care to explain? Or are you simply content to just wag your finger at everyone in this thread who doesn't follow your wavelength?
-
Sorry, it had to be said. :3

Half of the potential "puns" mentioned in this thread aren't even puns. What are we teaching people nowadays? A pun is a context-based play on words. You know, sort of like a detective saying "something fishy is going on here" to a fish seller who runs a small gambling operation as a side job. I have to admit that the amnesia approach is a very clever one, especially in context to Freeman's Mind, considering that Freeman lost all of his weapons anyway. Hopefully he regains his memory though it's not necessary in the immediate future.
-
I think realism is going to go pretty much out the window as soon as Freeman stumbles upon the Tau Cannon, the Gluon Gun, and the RPG.
-
That's speculation. I don't really see any indication that any of his colleagues at Black Mesa speak any language other than English. I think he even claimed at one point that he had a working knowledge of Haitian and Hindi, enough so that if he had to flee to those countries he would still be well off. I'm inclined to believe that he learned these languages at MIT, since it fits in with his backstory.

I wish FM would be like THIS, well, just wach it
MadDogBV replied to PoiSonSonic's topic in Freeman's Mind
Maybe I should make a thread too just for good measure. Personally? No, I don't think Freeman's Mind needs it. -
Sturgeon's Law applies here. The vast majority of YTPs are crap, but there are a few nuggets of gold in there and it takes a lot of searching and insight to find the good ones.
-
Nope. But it's apparently been "done" for a while...
-
I'm sorry, but frankly I still don't understand the speculation that the Mystery Episode is going to take place in Black Mesa Source, considering there's been very little media footage of the game over the past year.

What is Your Favourite Freeman's Mind Quote/Episode/Moment
MadDogBV replied to Trickiert's topic in Freeman's Mind
This could very well be the crowning quote of the entire series. -
Agreed. +1 rep. I miss the quotes already.

I think it might be a good idea to translate the Spanish voice into English subtitles, but that's just me.
