  1. Don't be a jackass. It has spinning rotors, therefor, it is a helicopter. This is a direct relationship. Spinning rotors = helicopter. This is called "civilian logic." Sue me. Well it is called an Osprey actually. Well, acshully, it's a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, an American multi-mission, military, tiltrotor aircraft with both a VTOL, and STOL capability.
  2. There was a topic?
  3. When you put it like that, you almost make it sound like there shouldn't be any exploration or deviation from linear paths in FPS games. No wonder people still cling mercilessly to DooM...
  4. Half of those pages were dog and cat pictures and people responding to them, while the others were individual people chiming in about their opinion, and still others were commenting on how close the vote seemed to be. Settle down Beavis.
  5. Please shoot yourself in the face right now so I don't have to. Unless that was sarcastic...it was sarcastic, right? Please? I would say that I was being sarcastic, but your reaction (and your signature) make me curious as to what you'd say if I didn't...
  6. (wags finger) Ah ah ah, he said he was going with what the majority of people decided. 37% is not a majority, it's a plurality. Yeah, I know, it's a stretch.
  7. You know, I find it really hard to believe that hardly anyone noticed the changed sounds. Maybe Ross should change Freeman's voice actor for a day and see if anyone picks up on it.
  8. So (not counting the cats and dogs) the poll is currently at a dead draw. I know Ross was expecting the new gun sounds to be divisive, but I bet he never expected it to be this close. Bit of a can of worms that got opened, I think (either that or, as the above poster said, there is a massive vote stacking operation underway). So, let's come up with a compromise that everyone will surely love and replace the gun sounds with quotes from MLP.
  9. This was a really abrupt, and in my opinion completely unnecessary change to make. I would almost go so far as to say that it significantly disrupts the experience for me. I always say don't fix what isn't broken, but it seems like the majority is against my opinion on this one (and I half expect the masses to bark "well if you don't like it, don't watch it!"). So I guess it'll be left the way it is now.
  10. He's allowed to have an opinion about individual episodes. You don't need to defend Ross at every single possible opportunity. In fact, I imagine he would get irritated with that after a while.
  11. Burma Shave.
  12. Yeah, I'm fully expecting Freeman to bypass 90% of the maze with "pull-ups".

    Oops

When I opened up the front page, the first thing I saw was the picture montage, and I winced because I knew exactly what had happened. Ouch. Always keep your computer tower UNDER your desk, not just beside it, and certainly not on top of it.
  14. This might not be of much help to you unless you're on the West Coast or in a major city, but try looking for attorneys at Handel On The Law.com. Be advised that you should only hire an attorney if you know you can get monetary compensation out of this. Lawyers per se are not cheap. And even if you have a strong case, Machinima may still try to paper you to death if they're unwilling to settle. Perhaps you could try contacting other artists that Machinima screwed over to file a joint complaint?
  15. But Gordon could justify Barney as being a human enemy because he "waved that soldier through". Of course, when we play the game ourselves we realize that it's simply a programming oversight and Barney is friendly, but in the Freeman's Mind universe, things are quite different...
  16. I approach bronies the same way I approach religions. Feel free to be a fan of whatever you want, just don't try to force or minister it on me.
  17. What annoys me the most is that there are suggestions floating around that we take out our rage on TGWTG or their forums. That will cause infinitely more problems than it will solve and may even result in Ross's contract with them being dropped. Having a full-time job, I've waited this long for a new Freeman's Mind episode to come out; what's a few months longer if necessary? Edit: Also, I find it most interesting that a massive contingent of Ross's followers seem to be MLP fans, in spite of the perceived lack of connection between the two.
  18. While that's true, perhaps it would be best if you remained uninvolved in arguments like this for that reason...
  19. I watched Captain Planet when I was a kid too and enjoyed it back then. I can look back at it now and see how trite and contrived the whole concept was. Have a sense of humor.
  20. It's like they suddenly realized, "Oh shit, maybe dropping Ross Scott wasn't such a good idea..." I bet some of the folks in their legal department are going to feel the heat from the more "positive folks" at the company...
  21. Awesomely well-written post, it chronicles your experience with contract negotiation hell quite well.
  22. I took this as a satire of DooM in general. This video very strongly reminded me of the infamous DooM comic.
  23. The "agreement" will probably be something along the lines of: The first party shall furnish services including the production of videos, adherence to a timetable, and soul; for which the second party shall recompense with a smile and a friendly tap on the shoulder.
  24. Show some respect. Ross will make an update as soon as he knows something. He always respects his fans. There is no update because he has nothing new/significant to say. Deal with it. As mentioned above, I think you missed the joke. There's no need to be quite so defensive.
  25. Ross has said that this is a very serious matter and it could jeopardize the future of Freeman's Mind. I think we have reason to panic.
