Funny you should mention that, because I feel like killing someone right now. Just so you know, I agree with you - just poking fun a bit. Just because something won't change doesn't mean we shouldn't express our opinions about how it should change because it's wrong.

Wow, man, are you trying to say that hacking is as bad as murder? Anywho! I do agree that repetitive, boring multiplayer modes are starting to phase out well constructed, immersive, atmospheric singleplayer. I don't like it, either. However, there will always be good singleplayer games - we just may start seeing less and less of them, sadly.

And you shouldn't... A good Squire is better... Missing the point entirely, I see.

I absolutely loved Alan Wake. The story was poignant, the graphics were breathtaking, the voice acting was phenomenal. I think I had one tiny gripe about the game - the combat system becomes very repetitive and annoying after a while, but it is creative, and like the Silent Hill series gives you a sense of dread and a fear of combat. Your protagonist isn't a trained soldier, he's an author; he isn't meant to fight like a SEAL. As far as consoles versus computers goes - who cares? Your choice of console, videogame, novel, film, or music doesn't define who you are. Accusations that all console gamers are sheeple or inherently idiots is absolutely ridiculous. I play an Epiphone LP Standard; I don't feel superior to anybody that rocks a Squire.
