When I was a kid, I thought that Pokemon was too violent to watch.

What I'm tempted to say is "WARNING. INCOMING PONY ATTACK FLEET DETECTED." But what I'll actually contribute is: The Sarge, turning to the band of a couple dozen pilots behind him, barked, "Alright, ladies. Bomber Squadron Beta, get prepped for launch; the fighters will cover your run to the surface. We'll support you with heavy artillery from orbit. Once their resistance all is softened up, the dropships will deliver our infantry to overtake what's left of their base. Remember, we're expecting high casualties. Many of you won't come back alive. If there are no questions, get your asses moving to your ships." As the pilots all raced to the hanger, one lingered behind nervously. It was Hansel, the newest recruit in the squadron. He looked like he wanted to say something, but something was holding him back. The Sarge eyed him curiously. "Is there a problem, private?"

Little did Madman know that Mes gots its had hidden dozens of flash-bangs inside the hill from nine posts ago. They go off in an intense eyeball-melting explosion of pure light, causing Madman to clutch his now-liquefied eye slots as Mes dumps a tub of Black Mesa © brand electrified toxic waste down his throat. He enjoys the show as his innards slowly disintegrate before sticking a dildo-shaped flag into the newly-acquired hill (surrounded by a moat of electrified toxic waste, of course).

Democracy is the worst form of government besides every other form of government devised by man. Just thought I'd throw that out to make it clear that Ross is making a huge mistake and should thus discontinue developing videos altogether. In all seriousness though, I would personally love it of you released some of the earlier FM episodes in MKV format, the sudden change from viewing the video through a pixelated, bird-poop covered window to eye-popping HD awesomeness is quite jarring.

9.5/10, it's much better than your last one.

8/10 for an egotistically self-proclaimed title as well as the hand lacking a ring finger. How's the dude supposed to have a queen?

I proceed to construct the Death Star IV (yes, there was a third one, Google it), blow up all of Earth (or wherever the heck this stupid hill is located), dump a pile of dirt into my heavily defended office at the station's core, and declare it as the new hill. I also made the thermal exhaust port proton torpedo-proof, for you those of you that feel you can trench run me, as well as project THREE shields around the station from three separate planets in order to prevent the seemingly inevitable return of Admiral Ackbar. This hill's mine, come at me bro.

Who needs a translator when you've got Rosetta Stone?

Speaking of Synergy, Sven Co-op, and Hamachi, is there an official Accursed Farms Hamachi network? That's be pretty great for hosting inclusive game sessions for multiplayer matches / co-op events.

Being a resident of the United States, as well as having a knack for all things space-related, the lack of any kind of movement to explore outer space has me not only annoyed, but also genuinely concerned. While I do realize that technically we're in an economic "crisis," the fact that no major manned missions into space beyond Earth's gravitational pull have been made since the 60's has left me wondering if and when we'll get back on track. Logically, space exploration, along with deep ocean diving, is humanity's next step for a major expansion. We've used up pretty much all of the habitable areas on our planet, and while there are a couple more frontiers left like underground, underwater, and Antarctica, expansion into space seems a lot more attractive at this point because, well, there's a lot of space in space. It would solve many of society's problems on a global level: it would provide countless jobs for unemployed workers, completely negate the negative side effects of pollution and the dumping of hazardous materials, and allow for virtually infinite population growth. The many industries formed from space travel would provide unfathomable economic and social benefits, and most importantly it would be downright awesome. So why aren't we going there? I haven't the slightest of clues other than a couple guesses. The sheer cost of it seems to be a major barrier, especially with the rising prices of oil and other fossil fuels. So, how do we go about getting the U.S. (or your own applicable space-hating country) to get going to space? I see two possible solutions: 1) Develop a more reliable, inexpensive, preferably renewable source of energy capable of powering spacecraft. 2) Lie. Publish in Time Magazine that there is oil on Mars, watch the mad rush to jump onto the space oil bandwagon, and by the time everyone figures out that they've been duped, all the infrastructure for a colony would have been laid out, all the bureaucracy dealt with, and the world expecting something to happen. They would have no choice but to continue on with meager colonization, while Time shrugs and gives themselves a pat on the back. So what about you? Are you concerned about the lack of rocket ships leaving Earth's atmosphere? Any reasons why we aren't going there now, or any proposed solutions to make it happen?

Logically, there is only so much space on Earth, and thus limited space and resources for both fitting billions of people onto one planet as well as feeding them. At some point, we're going to reach a peak in terms of how many people can be supported by the world's agricultural industry. Although we can increase the limit of this peak by using various techniques to increase the surface area of the Earth (setting up outposts underwater / deep underground or in the sky), the only way to guarantee our expansion as a species is to start colonizing other planets.

It's possible to abuse the forum view count system by making a thread, then continuously viewing it by navigating back to the sub-forum it's in and clicking on your thread again. I've done it successfully 12 times in a row without fault in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2679 Needless to say, this is farm-able and can be easily exploited to make it seem like a particular thread has more views than it actually has. I'm using Chrome, if that helps.

Yes, Red, as in the protagonist of Pokemon Red and Blue. This is literally the funniest and well-written mind series I've watched besides Freeman's Mind, period. Go watch it now, and discuss it's awesomeness.

Sven Co-op is a mod that let's you play Half Life, Opposing Force, and a variety of custom campaigns cooperatively with friends and online. The site is here and the latest version can be downloaded here. This mod is a load of fun with friends, the difficultly has really been ramped up and the actually mod itself drips with quality. I highly recommend it if you have friends to play it with.

I know you've talked about Garry's Mod before and how it's "unnecessary" since you can accomplish everything in it by animating, but Ross, I'm seriously suggesting that you take up Gmod animation. I'm well aware that people generally associate Gmod machinimas with goofy slapstick crap that doesn't have half an ounce of effort put into them. While yes, Gmod is often used for that kind of stuff, it is capable of so much more than that. Many people have made high quality, story-driven movies at the fraction of the effort and time required for animating in the Source SDK. I could link you plenty of examples, but I'll just let you take my word for it. Although the quality of character animation may not be insane god-like Pixar quality, it is capable of coming pretty close and the effort required to make it is extremely minimal since there is no math or crappy UI's (or read: bugs). Not only that, but Gmod is extremely versatile; you can download a variety of add-ons that enhance the movie-making process and make it easier. There's even a tool that let's you use your own animations and apply them directly to a model (so for example if you think a particular motion is too complex for physgun work, you can make an animation for say, Mike and then film him performing it in-game). I know that you are already in contact with DasBoSchitt, so I urge you to talk to him about it. Bottom line is, if you're having trouble with a crapton of bugs in the SDK and feel that it's torture rather than fun, then use Gmod. Many movie-makers actually consider it fun, believe it or not. Please consider it.

He come back with a wheelbarrow, loot the bodies, then jack Steve's laptop and that color laser printer from Accounting. Or more likely he'd dig up that gold, ditch the suit (or find some way to smuggle it), have Eddie hook him up with a fake passport, ID, and weapons, then move to Scandinavia.

The Accursed Farms "Best Game of 2011" Awards
Mes gots its replied to Alyxx Thorne's topic in Gaming in general
Call me crazy, but all the games people have been discussing (Portal 2, Skyrim, Minecraft, Arkham City, etc.) I all like equally. When I try to compare them, I realize that they're all good games in their own right, but many of them are so different in design and genre that it's hard to like one more than the other. For example, Portal 2 and Minecraft both brought a huge amount of innovation to the industry, but MW3, Serious Sam 3, Battlefield 3, and Uncharted 3 (lotsa 3's this year lol) were all pretty much the same as their predecessors but were incredibly polished and remained great experiences in their own right. Skyrim and DX:HR are both awesome and complex RPGs with a huge amount of replay value, but Arkham City and Skyward Sword were based off of only a few simple game mechanics yet remained grand in scale. The point is, all these games are great, but they're too different from each other to adequately compare them and decide if one is infinitely "better" than the other. In the end it all comes down to personal preference. I personally chose Minecraft in this pole because it was a completely new and fun experience for me. Someone else may like raw action over everything else and choose MW3 or Uncharted 3, and that's fine because that's what they think. Overall, 2011 was a great year for gaming, probably the best since 2007 imo. -
He's incredibly powerful and I have NO PLAN.

Did you know that Stephen Crane, a prominent writer during the realism movement, consistently uses irony, omission, and characteristic vernacular throughout his short stories?

Incredibly, no one survived.
