Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
ProHypster replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
We know exactly how the Pyramids were built. The only people who still dispute that are the ones who desperately want to believe that aliens or wizards did it. (Kind of exactly the same way the remaining people who dispute evolution believe that aliens or a wizard did it.) When your only alternative "theories" are aliens and wizards, you're not talking about science anymore. That's a good post, now I want to say if you believe that monkeys magically turned into humans while there is no human-monkeys today (middle step between humans and monkey) because he died some billion years ago (precisely) than I call that not science anymore. Let me ask you a question. Do you believe in Auras? Soul? Prophets? Or do you reject "magic" overall. -
How do you know about Euro?? Free education has been existing already!! PFFFFFFFFFF Yeah I know, who doesn't have free education.... I am just saying most countries in the EU already adopted the Euro. That was a actually a wild assumption. I haven't heard of Poland rejecting it so I'm assuming there is going to be a euro in poland quite soon... That would not be a bad thing though, just looking at the exchange rate. Then you can take holidays in other countries cheaper.

Which will be a rough transition I can imagine, but I don't care. It will be better for the world afterwards. -
Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
ProHypster replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
By the way on the subject what schools should be teaching: Both theories. Just like in Germany, where they have a religion class teaching monotheism and a Biology class teaching Human evolution at the same time. (Both mandatory) Let the people choose themselves and let's not be biased here. -

Sorry if I am a little ruff here but I don't really know how to respond in a non-aggressive way here, just picture me smiling through this post... So who the hell came to that conclusion? Scientists with Scientific 20.000 year old Neanderthal comparisons to us by bones? (When we don't even know how the pyramids were built (2500 years ago) or Scientists who came to the conclusion that nature is all about balance. (Sounds like a dream world) -
Or they are being under tremendous pressure form Hl1 and Hl2 and simply aren't able to make a Hl episode 3 with the same quality within time.

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

Oh I'm sure. Darwin never liked publishing his work because it went against his religion. The contradictions from his findings to his religion probably troubled him his whole life. Correction "the contradictions of his theory." That is if you can call his theory a contradiction to monotheism... -

"And then there was (PROBABLY) an intergalactic battle from which the result was that Pluto got pushed away from the sun and ducks started quacking. The snakes slowly turned into bears over a million years since they started liking honey all of a sudden and the neanderthals died from cancer in their homes.... I could go on." Sorry to be rude here but what I wrote was strictly to explain to you how you write to us since I don't know english enough to explain i provided an example. As soon as you wrote probably, your version of the world started flowing and flowing, whilst it may be interesting, you have not backed up your story with any background or facts or even why you assume that.. I was just theorizing based on what I know about natural selection, and how mutations effect populations differently based on the habitat. The detailed story is pretty complicated and involves a lot of branching and different species which died out on the way to modern humans. As for backing it up, here's the wikipedia article on natural selection, if that helps any. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_selection Very interesting to read this, anyways, this is a bit primitive and unscientific response, but if you didn't know, Darwin died a monotheist. -

Still far more expensive than plastic, and the infrastructure needed for producing it on the scale necessary would cost trillions. Even using metal would be less expensive. Again, cotton is far more expensive, and the infrastructure necessary for is it prohibitively expensive. Also, you can't use cotton as a replacement for Ziploc freezer bags... Ok, I assume you know that for a fact, my general point was there is already materials which can replace oil. So I am sure we will be fine. -

lol, I'm not sure about BTG, but I know you're just messing with me. That's actually a decent question... obviously you haven't thought about the question enough. Even if he is messing, the point of the question for me is why some monkeys didn't evolve and why others did. Or in other words why we evolved into humans while they just stayed monkeys. -

Wow, the same as the evolutionists... Interesting ain't it? But that's completely false. "Evolutionists" as you call them, follow the law of the scientific method. If a fact presents itself that strongly contradicts what's currently accepted, then the evidence is reevaluated and an updated system is created that fits all of the evidence. Consider dark matter. It was found that there wasn't enough mass in galaxies to hold them together, so the theory of dark matter originated to explain the invisible mass. Scientists don't stubbornly cling to an idea they insist is true (at least not good scientists). They accept new evidence, and reevaluate. Btw, if evolutionists refuse facts, then give me some! You have yet to present any evidence that goes against the accepted laws of evolution by natural selection. You just give flimsy comebacks whenever I explain something that's downright simple, like Darwin's finches, which a fourth grader could understand is obviously valid. Wait a second, I support science and am a rationalist and an optimist. I am also a Monotheist. On another matter, I am going to ask you again since you haven't answered. Why do different species of finches on different islands automatically mean that: 1. They used to be one species. 2. They mutated into the current species. You are a giant step from these conclusions unless you can connect the first with the latter -
I'm into House, Techno and Trance (Don't be fooled, nothing like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke. Guetta, Daft Punk..). It's not that I am against Mainstream, it's just with time I deleted more and more of it due to tracks getting annoying and kept the underground stuff because they didn't :s... I'm also serious about it and trying to get signed by Reset Records. I used to listen to pretty much everything, but nowadays anything that doesn't fall into the three categories above You won't find on my sony walkman.... I still like to listen to chill out tracks which can be pop, rock, classical...whatever as long as it's chillout sometimes for a break.

How does that disprove the theory that these species were already there from the beggining adopted to their environment... you started with facts but then went on about your opinions which you made seem like facts. You skipped some major steps is what I'm trying to say. You told us and explained that 1 is a 1 and 2 is a 2 but then you said therefore 1+2 = 1436930 ???? where does 1436930 come from Nonetheless even if Mutation does exist, it doesn't disprove God's or Jesus existence (If that's what you are trying to do). In fact some people think it proves it even more. -
One day a small unassuming orb decided to make his way to the bar at town's finest catwalk owned by Chinese people, who had glorious leader. Suddenly, a big nasty oval fell out of a mob spawner floating ominously above two crazy sluts in a car who just started to play Portal. The Chinese leader took a giant dump into the big mouth of a nearby dragon. He then sang like a tonedeaf cheesecake while hanging from the legs of small ornate brusselsprout in a tightly packed basket. After the dinner of the dragon and Chinese leader, they all swam to an island made of turtles connected by poop. The unassuming orb blamed the oval for ripping off all kinds of sweet chocolate cookies, as the copyright of justin bieber killed the pope. He then took a companion cube and walked slowly towards a missile at snail speed. All of this was an evil plan made by some incredibly insidious retard walking away. MIKURU BEAM he shouted out loud while listening to the annoying ramblings caused by a massive outcry from a 10 year old hacker who was a sith lord from a galaxy filled with portals. And everybody lived Can we start a new one, this one feels like far stretched but finished. Just finish the sentence there...

It will feel very weird if G-man will die therefore I bet that he's going to be alive even when the Half-life story ends. I mean he's certainly not going to die in a boss fight.. (very awkward boss fight that would be) And he can't die simple either as he is one of the main characters and it will also feel awkward. The only possible script I can imagine being realized is if Gordon sees some scene with him dying on camera.

Recycling Nukes a good idea? Anyone? Although it's pretty much to late to just get rid of them since nations can use that as a political power. Keep them for political reasons. PS: Stupidest Weapon ever: The Personal Nuke, works like a bazzoka, these guys were stationed on the border of USA

I meant Glass for general hard pastic like bottles cotton for softer plastic like bags. I posted that later. -
I meant somewhere inside Chernobyl, like a reactor chamber or something... Some reporter did that, and died a month later.

Ever heard of Organic Plastic? No petroleum needed... I'm assuming it's impractical though, I'm providing the developed technology I know which we have right now which would save us if all oil dissapeared right now. -
This thread is about Half life 2: Episode 3. Not Half life 3. Gameinformer revealed Half Life 3 Not Half life 2: Episode 3 Smart assery aside, *spoiler alert* Immediatly after Eli informed you that he was GOING to inform you about G-Man (Anyone that payed attention will know that G-man is a community given name, so that whole gman is gordan freeman is bullshit, Just had to get that out of my systen) Dog hears something and runs off, After Eli killed dog jumps in and saves you in the nick of time, time seeming to be something Gman understands a great deal about. Personally I think gman wanted Eli killed specifically because he was going to inform you about him. So, in Half life 3 you will most likely uncover a great deal more about Gman and his employers I sincerly doubt that the gman is evil, in any way, I don't think it gets that black and white, (the same way gordan isn't really a hero, To him he really is the right man in the wrong place) But he definitly has an agenda, But his and his employers are almost certainly not the same. Further thoughts: Apart from gman, I'm guessing we'll figure out what happened to Barney in episode 2, Maybe even Corporal Shepherd, I hear rumors about him, but I don't think so because hes a gear box character I believe. I liked Corporal Shephard's story. That guy is actually my favourite Half-life series character. I hope we get to see him soon... And maybe even Half-life-Opposing Force 2
