  1. How did you even recognize the game's soundtrack as Point Defiance?
  2. I think he knew all of the answers. KNEW.
  3. http://www.d-inter.ru/games/polaris-snocross/ You'd think they would be able to keep track of these projects release dates. And you should really try and get in touch with one of the band members. They could probably explain it. Or they couldn't and just reinforce the time travel conspiracy.
  4. So I've done some digging into the PC release of Polaris Snocross and why they have music from Point Defiance. The PS1 and N64 releases and the console release was definitely in 2000. However the PC port was not released until over a year later. (11/15/01) It's a very common practice to release on console first then make a PC port. We all probably know a few examples of that. But there is some information (02/18/2000) that is contradicting. (12/19/01) According to Infogrames, the PC port's publisher and distributor, and web.archive.org, the earliest known page for Polaris Snocross is the 29th of December, 2001. Another bit of info to back this claim up is that on the back of the CD case, it says "compatible, Windows 95/98/ME/XP" and Windows XP was not released until August 2001. So almost all signs point to the PC port of Polaris Snocross to being released in Q4 2001. So that explains at least that the PC port was made/released at the end of the same year the band formed. But it still doesn't explain that the game had music that wasn't released until at least 4 months later. (3/5/2002) This would be something to ask the band itself as I cannot find any cross between Polaris Snocross and Point Defiance, no promotion or acknowledgement.
  5. I run Windows 7, I couldn't go earlier than Windows XP and still have Direct3D support for emulation. You might want to check out DxWnd to get better legacy DirectX emulation. It sells itself as "...intercepts system calls to make fullscreen programs running in a window, to support a better compatibility..." but it's really much more than that. It's a DirectX hack program that gives you a bunch of rendering and legacy DirectX emulation options, the kind of complexity you'd see in a console emulator.
  6. Hell yeah I am. You sound way too confident taking that bet.
  7. Related, can we have a behind the scenes special of you making your videos Ross?
  8. This for me to, because I watched this before I discovered Daria, and when they sang that versions of "I've been working on the railroad" at the end of the episode Speedtrapped, it blew my mind.
  9. Jon CJG had problems with Machinima too. They appear to be going though "growth and team changing" otherwise an internal power struggle. Good news on him though, he is still an active director in Machinia's eye. http://joncjg.blogspot.com/2012/12/news-new-programming-plan.html
  10. No, it means 23 actually, the numbering system started at 130 I think from previous testing. Also it may count cancelled orders too, I'm not sure. Wait, does that mean I'm... F1R5T!!!!!11!eleven!!!!! I kid i kid...
  11. https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7314391/Need_for_Speed_Porsche_Unleashed_Soundtrack_(Lossless) Does a torrent work? I've got the lossless rips right here. Seeding in progress though.
  12. Crytek is going to release a filmmaker program soon in CryEngine 3. YHNWj8HmWwQ Of course it is unreleased so no one can contend to how easy it is to use. I do know that the Sandbox editor for CE3 accepts a fairly wide range of formats and is basically set up to run on what ever models you bring to the table. And as seen in the video, facial animations and complex shaders are supported. As for .BVH support I found this on the Crytek forums posted by one of the staff. So I guess the .CAF exporter can compress and process .BVH animations.
  13. I hear CryEngine 3 is pretty reliable, but it's like playing Mist through braille to figure out.
  14. I've got the PS2 and Gamecube.
  15. My findings are as follows: Using Windows Media Player with and without the Media Player Codec Pack .mp4 and .mkv playbacks are flawless with the Codec Pack. (No idea what specific codecs were used, glanced over their website and found ffdshow and Haali Media Splitter in the pack, but I really have no idea.) BUT! WMP can play .mp4 video files flawlessly without the codec pack, so .mp4 gets my vote.
  16. it called accoutic foam and they use that for hard cases for transporting weapons like pistols and for what i can find they cost like €30 for like 4 sheets of 1m x 1m http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_takustik_noppenschaum_1030_4er_set.htm this site is good because if ross you are in poland this could be delivered to you in 3 days is it's hosted in germany and you using the same currency then all you need is double sided tape and 3 or 4 of this 4 set and you got he whole room covered but if you don't have the money use my idea I really don't have a echo with my mics i use Pretty tempting. And they use ZLOTYS not Euros. I've herd pillow forts or box forts are pretty sound proof, and hey you can make your badass pillow fort with plaster paris
  17. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html Another open source audio/video encoder This program can let you string several media clips together without encoding them, it will let you stream a copy which is basically copy and pasting the data into the new file, useful for ripping DVDs cause they code everything in MPEG II. Not to mention it has a feature were in can detect the file type even if the file header is messed up, very useful for ripping in-game music that would be in a mystical file container which is only in known in the minds of the programmers. I swear its freaking Skynet...
