They used to let you get specific with the graphics options until the big patch back in February. Before then, most anything in the config could be adjusted/toggled in-game. I recall them saying they'll re-expand around release, but the whole generator issue, call-in balance, as well as the inheritance debate in the community gives the impression that Hi-Rez are the "We know best, so shut the fuck up and deal with it" kind of guys. The kind of people where it takes an immense up-hill battle to get them to admit they're wrong on certain things (Which it did to get inheritance where it is now). So don't hold your breath. Also, that's a cosmetic detail that isn't really high-priority. They'll probably address it in a patch on release.
