  1. http://www.ausgamers.com/features/read/3041296 Over. Three Hundred. Easter Eggs. It's as if the Easter Bunny took steroids.
  2. Duke Nukem 3D on XBLA for me. Protector Drones, Mini-Battlelords, and the Shop-N-Bag level can all go die in a ditch.
  3. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/290029/interviews/duke-nukem-forever-feminism-fellatio-and-the-funnies/ I won't bore you with boring wit. Watch these. NOW!
  4. Interactive glory hole. Wow.
  5. Space, the only place left that could possibly hold dragons or dragon-like aliens.
  6. The updated boxart, just in case you missed it. I like it alot, but I'm in the minority in terms of the fanbase.
  7. Oh shit, how could I forget Borderlands? The gameplay is fun and the narrative is subtle yet interesting. It's so ingeniously subtle, that some people thought the game didn't have a story. But not once did those people consider why exactly they were hopping around on literal mountains of trash in a dump that's almost bigger than the town that actually has it. I'd actually be worried for Duke Nukem Forever if it wasn't Gearbox finishing it to be honest. They know how to make a good game.
  8. Besides, people complain giving a woman a spank, when Duke *Turns on Fox News logic* glorifies the use of steroids by allowing the player to make enemies explode with their 'roid-enhanced punches *Turns off Fox news logic*. It just doesn't make any sense.
  9. Well the "Slap" is really a "Spank" so...case by case I guess?
  10. What I think of DLC depends on the developer's philosophy. The 2K method of taking content from the game and reselling it later for no other reason than to make profit is bull crap. This also applies to things like $15 for a map pack. Now if it's the Gearbox method, then I'm perfectly ok with it. IE, the developer does not put any work towards DLC until the main game is completed and on the market. Then when they do release DLC, it's always in the form of a expansion pack that justifies the price. Case-in-point, all 4 of Borderlands' DLC Expansions add something major to the game, 2 of which adding onto the actual story. The 1st, Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, added an expansive new area with a variety of enemies to fight. The 2nd, Mad Moxxi's Underdome, added a bank feature and the Underdome; this one mostly served as a multiplayer-based expansion. The 3rd, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, well... The trailer says it all. The 4th, Claptrap's New Robot Revolution, finally allowed the fans to kill Claptrap as much as they wanted. They're all relatively cheap, and all add something substantial to the gameplay, story, or both. THAT is what DLC should be, as opposed to overpriced map packs or cosmetic stuff that no one cares about.
  11. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/03/25/duke-nukem-dustup-games-capture-babe-mode-players-slapping-women/?test=faces#content To be honest, I was actually getting kind of worried. For a second there I thought Fox News didn't have much of a problem with Duke. Also, I'd like to clear up two things. Duke Nukem does NOT slap the babe in Capture the Babe. He gives her a spank to calm her down. Also, Randy DID give a reason for the delay: their initial predictions on how long the game would take and hard it'd be were inaccurate. I also like how the feminist expert woman says that Duke Nukem having strippers is harmful to young women. It just makes me a picture a scenario where a young woman is walking down the street going "Lalala going to college with my free will". Then Duke pops on a TV and says "Shake it baby", with the girl responding "Awww, now I have to be a stripper because something completely unrelated to me depicts strippers within it". It puts in perspective just how full of shit Fox News' tagline is.
  12. Half-Life 2 and its Episodes are favorites. Both Left 4 Deads are good for the occasional killing spree. TF2 currently has 684 hours on it. If it counts, Portal was pretty damn awesome. Bioshock 2 kicked ass, but Bioshock 1 was meh. Halo: Reach was alright but the story and characters were just utter shit. Duke Nukem Forever, however, seems to be a hot contender for the #1 spot based off what I've seen and heard of it. Fox News seems to hate it, so that has to be a good sign.
  13. But Duke certainly has. Speaking of which, if you happen to hate ClapTrap:
  14. Because we need a word for what Envi and I are? ... Sooo... .
  15. Speaking of which, do you have the Balls of Steel Edition or normal edition preordered? I'll admit, I mostly went into a fanboy frenzy when I saw the bust and preordered the BOSE off Amazon with Day 1 delivery.
  16. I was more like this. ... .... ... .... I thought it might have been an early April Fools' joke at first. Then Randy posted his apology post on the Gearbox forums...then I realized that releasing DNF too early would suck.
  17. Physical for consoles, digital for PC.
  18. Loved the game when I downloaded it from Xbox Live. But now that version doesn't work anymore for some reason. I also like the cite Psychonauts as the kind of game that proves that what matters is what the graphics look like as opposed to how good they look. 6 years later and this game still looks pretty pleasing to the eye. Hell, most all of Shafer's games emphasis graphical style over graphical capability, and they all look pretty good. Also, getting some major deja vu right now.
  19. No nightmares, but I remember this really weird one nonetheless. For some reason I dreamt of playing Bulletstorm. There was this quad-cliff-like jungle area where the four edges met together in the center. Some form of flying boss came out. You were supposed to use glowing-blue launch pads to get a hit on it in the air. For some reason I couldn't use guns, and constantly attempted to kick it in mid-air. Then something involving Duke Nukem, a monster truck, and a huge gorge happened. I am a very boring person.
  20. I think that Valve have said they'll release Source Filmmaker after the last Meet the Team vid is out. Considering that Meet the Medic is just about done, maybe Ross will catch a break if the Pyro decides to introduce himself sometime soon.
  21. Hello, I'm Bravetriforcer. I have a cat in my lap, a bit disappointed regarding DNF's delay, and mocking those whom say they cancelled their pre-order because they have to wait an extra month. I'm not that exciting, really.
  22. It really is a nice way to pass the time. No matter how many times you hear it, it never really gets old. Something about how natural the things Gordon says just makes it great to watch. It feels like he's reading my mind with how Gordon and I sync up sometimes. Also, how about the part after Gordon kills the "Wearing the facility like a hat" monster that leads to the best cannonball ever? That made me feel awesome just watching it.
  23. http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/03/25/the-jace-hall-show-season-4-episode-19 Nice little interview with Randy by Jace Hall. Also a short little clip of glorious roid rage at the end. Next week's episode is to have extended amounts of gameplay footage, so be on the lookout for the show on April 1st.
  24. So you think of Duke Nukem as what he is and is not avoiding being? Besides, just because one game has sex appeal means that any and all progress by the industry as a whole is completely obliterated with no hope of recovery? Plenty of games have been exploring beyond cheap sex appeal and cliches in the time the game was being made, Duke's just coming back to give us a good time. Especially since the game's hardly playing any of it straight. As for me, I don't mind the delay really. It'll give me something to do in the summer and give me more time for Portal 2 and Bulletstorm. It'll be even better for the game as a whole since there will be very little competing against it at that time. Gearbox delayed Duke Nukem Forever because they miscalculated just how much polish the game will need before it goes out. So at least they're committed to releasing the game in the best condition possible. Randy also said that some of the guys are preparing a gameplay reel to soften the blow and is hoping to get demo info out before May, so there.
