Like I said, best of both worlds. We have choice and consequences with our weapon choices, but now we don't feel like we're playing a version of Halo where Master Chief talks.

All of my gripes with gameplay are now cleared. Now if only we could get Duke to actually talk to people and to get a healthy dose of parody in there.

Why should we love and tolerate war? War does no one any good. It creates conflict, it wastes resources, and is a bad thing in every way conceivable. War is not something to love and tolerate. War is something that would be exterminated by love and toleration.

Can I join this faction? I am a brony, but I feel the war in general is fucking stupid.

I'm not quite sure, in all honesty. I remember watching them on this site, but I don't know how I got here. All I'm sure of is that I watched them all in fucking go and never looked back.

Duke Nukem? Human and believable? The whole damn point of the game is to have a game hero who is superhuman and unbelievable. That's what they've been selling it as ever since they revived it last September. It's not that the two-weapon thing is different that makes fans mad. It's that it clashes with Duke and just kind of sucks as a whole. I mean, you can say that it adds choice and consequences, but it is also really boring. A new game that's selling itself as old-school doesn't have to use a 10-weapon wheel, yes. But it also shouldn't be using a weapon system that is the very DEFINITION of "Bland modern games that the game is promising to get us away from". It added change alright, but as almost every fan, non-fan, "reviewer", and regular jerk-off will tell you, it isn't very welcome change as far as Duke Nukem goes. I already have played DN3D. It's a good game with solid gameplay but with some really shitty map design at points. But it still holds up very well to this day. We want to play DNF now. But DNF made some choices that left a bad taste in my and many other peoples' mouths. I was more willing to go along with it than the guys whose job is making their opinions look more important than mine (Reviewers). How is actually parodying stuff "Adjusting to peoples' tastes"? As far as the 4-weapon system goes, let me put it this way. Now I can actually have choice in what weapons I pick up (The 2-weapon limit's main selling point), but will still have a large variety of options available to me in actual combat (A staple of old-school games and Duke Nukem in general). Best of both worlds, I say.

I do enjoy the Vanilla game. But it has alot of flaws. But DNF is one of the few games I actually respect as well as enjoy. Because despite having far more flaws than most games I've played, I've had far more fun playing it than I've ever had playing an FPS (Not counting TF2). All the flaws come together into what should be a whirpool of bad, but rather creates a cyclone of "Holy shit. This is awesome". But the game lacks real parody, Duke doesn't communicate with everyone, two-weapon limit, and a really random form of spacing out the levels and load times are real problems. The 1st DLC has the parody fixed, the patch is (To EVERYONE'S surprise) fixing the two weapon limit, and hopefully that 3rd DLC whose achievements got leaked will fix the other problems. And before you say anything, I only use the phrase "Fix the weapon limit" because this is Duke Nukem. No matter what you say otherwise, if you can only have as many guns as you have eyeballs, max, you're not playing Duke Nukem right.

Well this being the internet, that can be interpreted in many, many, many ways with the avatar you currently have. Just sayin', mang.

But yeah, it is pretty bad. From a gore standpoint, and from the standpoint of actual writing.
