The Accursed Farms "Best Game of 2011" Awards

While I did vote for Human Revolution as GOTY, I feel Duke Nukem Forever deserves special mention because holy shit it finally came out. Say what you will about the actual game (please don't, everything's been bitched about already), but the myth became a reality after over a decade. -

So how do you do the Psychonauts achievement?
-
Ok seriously guys. DNF is five fucking dollars now with the worth-the-money The Doctor Who Cloned Me DLC at $10. You may as well buy it now.

North Korea almost single-handedly conquering the entire world right after they reunite with South Korea out of nowhere with no problems resulting from that? Pfft.

Since Kim Jong Il is dead, it makes you wonder if his son will be any better or will follow in his footsteps (With the possible exception of roneriness).

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - PC Game Review
Bravetriforcer replied to Alyxx Thorne's topic in Gaming in general
Speaking of endings, which one did you agree with most? On the one hand, the Sarif ending's idealism and point regarding "The Cycle of Technology" are what made me choose it as my choice when first presented with the Endingtron 4000. On my second playthorugh, blowing up the place so that humanity could find its own way seemed like a valid option and the most likely canon one. Overall: Sarif wins, Taggart is a dick, Darrow is an idiot, and a bomb is a valid option. -
Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I have now compared the first four hours of both games, both for which involved equal parts advancing the story and equal parts dicking around. So far, Human Revolution obviously wins in every technical aspect. Human Revolution also has livelier gunplay, despite being cover based. Not sure who seems to be winning the stealth category so far. Adam has to actually hide, which adds a sense of verisimilitude and immersion, but I have to admire JC's ability to hide from trained terrorists in the shadows right to the left of them. Hacking sucks a big one in Deus Ex. But so far Deus Ex may win out in the end due to sheer depth. I won't go too deep at the risk of boring you or making you actually think, but neither did Human Revolution's health system for the same reasons. /Oh Snap

My biggest problem was no autosave, I spent an hour messing around and enjoying myself. Knocking out guards, trying different approaches etc... Then I got killed by a trap. Sent back to the very beginning of the game. > Hammer that Numpad + key like a pneumatic drill the second you do anything somewhat important. I'm guessing that's how most all FPses did it before auto-save was commonplace (Then promptly replacing manual save because the devs don't want you realizing that manual save is worthless with how linear FPSes are now)?

Deus Ex The very first level is a huge brickwall for a new player. But from what can be seen so far, it's a brickwall worth breaking down.

D. All of the above.

We finally set up the Christmas tree and stockings. Me and my two sisters each get one 3rd of the tree for ornaments, with the boundaries represented by three "King Ornaments." Mom and Dad have their own above us. My third is the least diverse since Mom thought I thought pickup trucks were the shit when I was growing up and got me nothing but them yearly.

Seems legit.

We use commas to show how big the number is because we have so much money of course.

http://forum.hirezstudios.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=313&t=50470&st=0&sk=t&sd=a The Ranger AR, Tech SMG and Infiltrator SMG will be become projectile-based weapons. As in they'll shoot actually bullets, not magic lasers. The Ranger will also cost 50 tokens so that new players can learn the unlock system better and will be forced to use a proper Spinfusor. Also flag grabs now give bonuses for speed:

Three of the hitscan weapons are being replaced with projectiles next patch along with a netcode fix. The next patch will be a patch of kings.

Whenever a game paints someone to be the Big Bad, but then kills them off and replaces them with something (supposedly) worse out of nowhere. The Doctor Who Cloned Me DLC for DNF was bad about this, but at least the replacement was most definitely the larger threat.
