  1. Black Mesa, because for the following other options. Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Lol no Mass Effect 3 - It had more problems than the ending. The Walking Dead - Never played Far Cry 3 - Never played Borderlands 2 - All the story improvements made the stagnation of the actual gameplay more apparent. Planetside 2 - Piece of poop that everyone seems to think does something worth talking about. X-Com: Enemy Unknown - 8/10 I banged it but Black Mesa was just a different level. Journey - Never played it but I hear it's all deep and shit so I guess it's cool. Guild Wars 2 - MMORPG + Me = Yeah no.
  2. >Introduce villain. >Establish he is made of shadow. >Have him lie to someone who doesn't deserve to be lied to so that it hurts them in the long run to establish that trait. Boom.
  3. It's Half Life and this is a Half Life-ish forum. If the plot is not engraved in to your mind, then that is your own fault.
  4. None of us are reading that.
  5. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=94128543&searchtext= I'm guessing they cut the minimum requirement of votes in half today. It was at 49% this morning.
  6. I saw someone relinquished their $15 pledge prize. Dropped on that shit. I highly doubt it'll get to $1,800,000. Definitely $1,500,000, but unless their Paypal has about $250,000 kicking around, I doubt Galactic War will happen.
  7. Unless they're playing the original Tribes, I don't see how a mediocre FPS that you get for free but have to perform insane grinds in to unlock shit (Unless you pay the "Gold" that will always leave just a little bit leftover that is unspendable) which tries to cover up all its flaws with GOTTAGOFAST is that much better.
  8. You just need the free SDK, bro. But I'll take it anyway.
  9. Half Life has the shitty/illogical level design that makes the series so amusing in the first place. If level design made more sense, like it likely will in BM, then all the series would have to stand on is purely Gordon's incessant ramblings.

  11. Donated $10, and it's on the border of being funded.
  12. This is exactly what I am afraid of. It is already going this way on PC and if we support half-assness as big as this, the future is going to be grim. Well considering the conditions that got the game to PC, I'd say by this half ass and mod the issues away if you can. If the next one continues the halfassedness, then don't buy it because there's no point to uphold. We asked for Dark Souls to come to PC, we got it, and conditions made it a meh port. If the next game decides to be PC from the start and still is sub-par on features, then we can just write it off without second thoughts. If From Software picks up their game next time, we win. If From Software does not, then we show them that we only accepted Dark Souls because of its situation, not its genuine quality as a PC port. Just because they think we're ok with half-assedness no matter what doesn't mean we actually are.
  13. Super MNC in a nutshell: The devs mean well and want the game to be the best it can be, but they're a 13-15 man team trying to churn out AAA quality. They're succeeding in that regard. People ignore this and write Super MNC off as a pay-2-win TF2 clone. Edit: Trying to choose between buying Wrack, tipping a streamer I like or donating to this or some combination.
  14. While I agree whole-heartedly with the "Make the game for its platform and make it well" argument, seeing as how the Resolutions issue was fixed within half an hour of release (Sure the modder was working on it a week beforehand but that's not as funny or degrading), I'm sure we can at least count on the fanbase fixing the game for the devs. Ultimately, storm rough seas for now and we may be rewarded. With Dark Souls 3 (2?) being released on PC at the start with proper features due to ample dev time. Or they'll take us buying it as a signal that they can half ass it and we'll be ok with that. Can go either way.
  15. $6 to be able to beat all the missions and get a special weapon. I fail to see the point to it at all. I would talk about the game mode itself...assuming The TF2 Team bothered to rent enough servers.
  16. This explains why Doomsday was so half assed. But really, this actually fits with the Spy Movie themes TF2 was built off of. For around 2 years we've had nothing but shirtless Australian Business Men, Ghost Knights, Smissmas, Australian Christmas, Meet the Pyro in general and a bunch of other stuff that focused so much on TF2's "Wacky" side that it forgot the actual spy themes. Then we get Gray Mann murdering his brothers to end a 150-year old war, mysteries lasting three years coming together, robot hoards meant to essentially take over the Hats and Weapons market (AKA the world), the plot actually going somewhere, and Saxton Hale fighting a God damn Yeti. It feels like TF2 finally got its head back on straight, lore-wise.
  17. http://www.teamfortress.com/mvm/ It. Has. BEGUN!
  18. Final Fantasy X on PCSX2. It's much easier than the first time I played. Mostly because I could actually read the instructions on how to use the Sphere Grid this time. Turns out I unintentionally did a low-level run the first time I played because I literally did not know what the Sphere Grid was for. Never did beat it like that though. Would have been fucking impressive, that's for sure.
  19. That was one of the early ones, before they hit their stride. Meet the Spy, Meet the Medic. Both of those were ones that aspired to be more than just witty laughs. They had the quotes, the memes and the wit. But they aspired to be more than JUST that. They evolved past just the basic idea of the videos. Meet the Pyro devolved back down to "Let's just have one joke and make it 2 minutes long", and it's sad to see such a thing.
  20. This is the Pyro though. We already knew they were crazy. All the video said was "This is the exact type of crazy." No showing of what that means for their personal life, no opinions from the rest of the team aside from the three shown, just Candyland POV joke. If the other 5 team members each showed their own opinions on the Pyro, revealing parts of what he does when not fighting, punctuated with either the POV stuff or another kill for Pyro, it would have been fucking amazing. What's there works, kind of, but they easily could have done so much more without compromising the basic idea. The basic idea being "Pyro sees Candyland and doesn't realize they are killing...maybe." But as it is, Meet the Pyro feels more like a Beta than a complete video if you catch my drift. That and there's pretty much no quotes from the video that can be used as memes. For a Meet the Team video, especially one that followed Meet the Medic, that is fucking disgraceful.
  21. Finally got my Final Fantasy X ISO to work properly. Hooray for being legally clear to use such a thing!
  22. I was expecting more than one fairly amusing POV joke being drawn out for 2 minutes. Just seems like it could have had more substance, and more gags about Pyro's personal life.
  23. Two whole years have been leading up to this. Hopefully it's less underwhelming that Meet the Pyro.
