Nah, you still have to push a button to talk--there's just no visual indicator that you're transmitting.

281 KEEP IT MOVING, PEOPLE
-
You're right when you say things haven't always been this way. During the feudal system (i.e. before modern capitalism), there was no middle class; you were either a serf, or you were royalty (or a knight or priest and you got your way there through political pulls, and not success). Capitalism and production allowed unskilled people to become more productive and wealthy, ergo a middle class was born. I don't really think "shift" is a proper word to describe wealth. Wealth is not static; wealth is something that's created and produced and not a solid quantity that simply just exchanges hands. This means that just because someone else makes a lot of money, does not in any way prevent you from making a lot of money i.e. the wealthy person doesn't harm you by being successful. So with this in mind: Now I realize that the "economic injustice" refers to people being upset that other people make more money than them and are more successful. It's kind of like the feeling you get when you bombed a test in high school when the goody two-shoes, smug, successful bastard sitting next to you got an A+. If this happens, you should study harder and learn the material next time so you can be just as good if not better than the other guy. I think that the Wall Street protestors are asking the teacher to not let the high-achieving students continue getting good marks. I'm all for separation of state and economics, which means I agree that corporations shouldn't receive bailouts from the government and that superior corporations should absorb them; but I think that the protestors think that if the government lets the corporations do their thing and make money, then that's a bailout. There's a difference between the corporations who made money through honest hard work and trading and corporations that stay afloat because of bailouts; the former should be praised and be allowed to keep doing what they're doing while the latter should be left to die. I don't think the Wall Street protestors know the difference between the two. I think the solution to the problem is a lassiez-faire government policy: let the good corporations continue to prosper, and let the bad ones die. Good corporations should not be constrained or punished--that's punishing the good for being good. Also, does your graph mean that people want a "redistribution of wealth"? Oh boy. "Redistribution of wealth" implies that the wealth belongs to the country as opposed to the producers, and that's a can of worms I don't want to open just yet.

This forum is great. It doesn't crash anymore, we can imbed Youtube, there are now spoiler tags and imbedded URLs are orange. What more could you want out of a forum?

What would Freeman say in the future? (SPOILERS)
Michael Archer replied to Michael Archer's topic in Freeman's Mind
That wouldn't work since he didn't touch the casserole. How about, "Magnusson, you're such a narcissist! That's a terrible name for such an awesome device. I move to call it the Freeman's Annihilator." -
Krikeng: I know! All those things you mentioned are terrible. All those things made me hate the game! I guess I played it because my friend liked it so much, so I warmed up to it. Also: there's no voice chat. There's only proximity chat. You can hear anyone (including enemies) in a fixed radius--the farther they are, the quieter they are. If you're using headphones, you can tell where they are. Also, when you push the "talk" button, there is no icon to show that you're talking.

Funny picture! But seriously: what does "economic injustice" mean? Does it mean "it's an injustice that other people are making more than us" or "it's an injustice that corporations get baliouts" or even "it's an injustice that the corporations aren't paying higher taxes?" But if we're sharing pictures, here's a picture of an actual Wall Street protestor. I rest my case.

That sounds fair enough. I can always convert without substantial image loss.

I could be wrong about this, but do you guys think bringing back Luna is simply fan service? Or did they actually want to flesh out her character? I'll bring you up to speed. We're talking about ponies.

Health? You get shot, you die. Take any damage and your character moans like a bitch until he dies. The double sights is like concentrated aiming; click the button once look through the sights, press it again to concentrate. Because we all know, when you concentrate, things zoom in.

The Super Mega Awesome AF Giveaway (NEW GIVEAWAY OPEN! p.13)
Michael Archer replied to J.C.'s topic in Free-For-All
New contestant. You do realize that the number of the beast is 616, not 666--right? -
Same. I hate facebook so much. I had a little bit of schadenfreude when I heard Anonymous was going to attack facebook in November.
-
Neither do I. I've been here longer than she has, and I don't know her; but she's important enough to warrant her own coming back thread. Welcome back! I guess...

Know Your Meme's rule is to wait one week before recording any memes from a new episode.
-
The reputation is still broken. We still have it.
-
Note to self and others: do not mindlessly browse the internet (particularly, Know Your Meme and Equestria Daily) when you haven't seen the newest episode of MLP. I made the mistake of doing this; while I didn't witness any MASSIVE spoilers, one of the jokes was ruined for me.
-
In this thread, write what you think Freeman will say in future episodes! For example, When Eli Vance dies in the end of episode two, I imagine Freeman saying something like, "Man...I'm REALLY not looking forward to giving the eulogy/going to the funeral for this one..."
-
223. And how can you have an "opposite number"? Did you mean "the negative of my reputation"?

This mod, to me, was kind of like My Little Pony: at first, I thought it was cute, but dumb. After a few hours of watching, something snapped, and now I'm obsessed with it. There's no reason why. The controls are so clunky and the "realistic" thing is dumb. I've always hated games that try to be too realistic because the things that aren't realistic stick out like a sore thumb e.g. when you pull the slide back on the M1 Garand when there's only one bullet left, the clip won't eject until you push the button (LOLWUT?!). This almost ruined the game for me. I don't know why I love this mod.
-
Clearly, the eagle is not super sized and it's flying right in front of the face of the artist while the people in the boat pretend it's big. It's just forced perspective.
-
Another Source Mod Let me give you the short version: Incredibly clunky controls, incredibly steep learning curve, it's so easy for your player model to get stuck, the M1 Garand sometimes doesn't reload when you ask it to, grenade throwing is terrible to the point where you stop throwing grenades, the community is small, it's not uncommon for players on the German team to shout anti-semitic remarks. Jesus Christ, this game is fun. I can't stop playing it! There's been a surge of new players; I've actually had to wait in line for a slot on a server now! People take the game quite seriously, but not too serious that it makes it not fun e.g. the community of Battle Grounds 2. Sometimes we'll speak in faux German accents and curse the Jews, but other times we'll prime our grenades and run straight at the enemy--laughing as we get cut down and our bodies blow up. The Garand makes a very satisfying noise when it's fired. It's by far my favorite rifle in the game.

The voices an animation for the "Epic Cupcake Time" are spot-on. How the hell did they do that?

I'm disturbed by your avatar. What. The. FUCK?! In any case, you broke the chain.
