  1. I am curious of people's stance on Forum Role-Plays- whether anyone's played in one before, been a Game-Master, ever heard of one, don't like them, etc.
  2. I like his Old vs. New, Top 11 on Villains and Villain songs, and one of my favorites has to be that time he reviewed the game Bebe's Kid's. "A timed mission? You bag of ass!!"
  3. I punch those numbers into my calculator it makes a happy face. Cave Johnson, we're done here.
  4. Everyone's got problems and everyone has bad days. Lots of what happens in life is outside your hands, so you gotta play with the cards you're dealt. Your attitude towards this and what you think of the world is a portion of your personality. Just because you weren't dealt the best cards so to speak, doesn't mean that you're entitled to complain because there's always someone worse off. Can type on a computer? There's someone out there who is illiterate. Can eat pizza? There's someone out there who's allergic to wheat. Can eat? There's someone out there who has to have nutrients through a tube. There's lots of things that you have that you can be thankful about and be happy for simply because you have them, you lucky duck. "He says the glass is half empty, she says it's half full, I say it's twice as large as it needs to be." I'm perfectly content with the lot I've got.
  5. I sort of didn't see that coming, since Ben Croshaw does not have a very high opinion of most fan fictions or it seems very much [amateur?] derivative media related to video games. Then again, he doesn't talk about his personal preferences in things apart from video games very much. (How do I know this?) I used to read his blog and browse the articles he wrote before I stopped caring.
  6. I'm smart enough to not play the "Stop having fun guys" card, I just want people to be aware of the balance of Silliness vs. Seriousness, and on a separate note, the distinction between things that are unusual or unpredictable that we find Humorous, and Randomness (things that are absolutely unrelated to one another).
  7. The upset in balance in a forum occurs when the stupidity outpaces the silliness. It is perfectly acceptable to counteract seriousness with silliness. However when willful disregard for the intelligence one has for the sake of instigating humor that is unsure whether both you and your audience will appreciate or enjoy, that is to the detriment of the whole of the community of the forum. Additionally, I don't think randomness is funny. Non-sequiturs are: But we would rarely laugh at true randomness. If you're into randomness, why don't you just loiter on a Noise generator website. "Get this, at first there was a 5, but then there was a 2! My knee is thoroughly tenderized by all the slapping!" In short, I think the Randomness thread is idiotic.
  8. It's funny because it's true. The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" was designed after its primary conventional weapon. Additonally, it has such large bullets and such a high rate of fire, concerns were raise that the recoil the gun generated might actually cause a stall due to loss of airspeed during continuous bursts of fire.
  9. These days I'm into carbide nitrates.
  10. Are people sheep in today's society? Unless one takes a deliberate mindset towards what they like, how they like it and why, they might fall into a realm known as the 'Lowest Common Denominator' whom large companies and media sources like to pander to because they are easy to please. Did people stop thinking at some point because they want to live like everybody else? Some people. These people either become known as Artists, or as Degenerates. All that is known is that they deviate from Society, and Society with History dictates whether their deviations are for better or worse. For example, Monty Python. Highly risque in its time, now highly regarded as the trope codifer for much of modern humor in certain instances. How much propaganda is there really out there? Lots. But its more often caused from misinformation or implication rather than facts. For example, News companies speculating on the Source of a problem as opposed to simply reporting details of said problem. Are we aware of propaganda? Regardless if we are or not, the propagation of this method of information conveyance is heavily ingrained into society nowandays for better or worse due to cultural osmosis and Media's existence for the past number of years, even though culture dislikes it, like grains of sand in our consciousness. If not, is there ways to resist it? Actively inform people of the discrepancy between information and implication. Are the talented and fine arts suffering from commercialized and privatized arts? It really depends on ones definition of art and what varieties they seek. it is true that vast swathes of modern talent and potential is wasted because it drowns in the overarching behemoth of "Fame". What is the future Pop Culture? The same aether of fearful ambiguity that Governmental obsolescence, Education systems and the Economy are spiraling towards in the effect that Society can not keep pace with the rate that which it invents new technology for itself. Who is behind Pop Culture? Whoever coined the term.
  11. John Cernan was the 6th man on the moon when the Command Module of the Aquarius launch vehicle was jettisoned accidentally early by Chris Kraft when he was using a mini-vacuum cleaner on the RETROFIRE console at Houston. It was a disturbingly urgent moment for Apollo because it put the Flight plan a dangerous 35 minutes ahead of schedule, forcing the skipping of numerous safety checks. Cave Johnson would've been proud.
  12. You know, now I'm actually seriously considering posting on there. Is there anything I should fear or worry about?

    Youtube ads

I don't get them because AdBlocker removes them. I also opt out of adding commercials to my videos because I like to hamper Capitalism like that.
