  1. Brett Elrich.. now there's a funny person if ever there was one.
  2. For the extravagantly abundant reasons eternally present with Garry's Mod and simple usage of it is why I decided not to actually make a Machinma out of my webcomic project.
  3. Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently the senses abandon their defenses Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Let your thoughts of life you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirits start to soar And you'll live as you've never lived before Softly, deftly, music shall surround you Hear it, feel it, closing in around you Open up your mind Let your fantasies unwind In this darkness which you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night Let your mind start a journey through a strange, new world Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before Let your soul take you where you want to be Only then can you belong to me Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savour each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night
  4. Freeman's sad there's centuries worth of ammo in his guitar.
  5. Raymond's glad there's days of food up in this place.
  6. Altitude: 630,000 feet come at me bro

I prefer Ryan Kesler. Go Canucks!
  8. I've largely lived in British Columbia my whole life, and in total have spent less than a month of my entire life outside of Canada at all. (But I am interested in visiting other places in the world, and there's pressure from the fact that all five other family members I have, have been to Cuba) I was born in Ontario but we only lived there for a few months. And most my youth and childhood we lived in smaller communities and cities with very... distinct weather, nothing like Vancouver's perpetual "either it's raining, it's cool overcast, or it's humid".
  9. Fail Safe (fey-ol sae'ff) n. A form of engineering redundancy to make a device or machine default to its safest and least volatile or dangerous state in the event of a failure. [Rail signals are weighted, and motors must hold them up in order for them to read "All Clear". If the motors fault, the signals fall into the "Danger, Do Not Pass" signal.] [Aircraft when landing on sea carriers, do so with full afterburners. If the arrestor wires fail to capture the aircraft, it can safely take off again to make another attempt.] Fail (fey-ol) n., adj, v. 1. When an outcome is not of the nature that is desired, the opposite of success. 2. To be unsuccessful in attempting or working on something. 3. To do something stupid and be really funny to watch. [being shot by a beanbag gun filled with jelly beans while not passing your Final Exam.]
  10. "Oh so I'm supposed to press both these buttons at once, okay... Portal here, portal there... man, these neon countdown signs are pretty cooll." *THUD* "Awesome, now that gigantic vault door is going to open. Better move to a good place to see what's behind it." *GROAN, CLANK, WHIRR" "Oh man, that vault is so big, look at how deep it" *KA-CHACK, lights go on* (I see the plated wall, the tiny door and a couple chairs beside it.) "...goes... HAHAHAHA! Aperture..." Why does that remember me of the Old Spice Man? Because somehow you have made a euphemistic association in your mind between Isiah Mustafa's glorious muscles and candy.
  11. Is it just me, or does the Neurotoxin Generator in Portal 2 remind oneself a lot of Blastpit? What with the big cylindrical thing in the middle of a gigantic chasm.
  12. Or at least it is in Canada. When's the last time you said "I Love you" to your mother? What do you like about your Mom? What would the world be like without moms?
  13. Mythbusters have proven that lower muzzle velocity firearms can still be lethal at short distances underwater. (Conversely, supersonic muzzle velocity firearms are definitively, not.) Therefore it was pretty clever of him to just stay on the walkway and shoot it instead of diving in after it with the crossbow. Obviously he did the math in his head.

    Rick Mercer

He also points out subtlely that Canada is one of the only countries in the world in which a Comedian/Reporter can knock on the Head-of-State's door, be invited in, and then the two decide to head off to a hardware store.
  15. So it's easy enough for me to take .TGA pictures and turn them into VTFs, but what I'm having a hard time with is the VMT. For some reason which I do not know, VTFedit doesn't like this very much: Feel free to explain why when I try to open it in VTFedit, it gives me the warning "Error parsing material on line 9". ______________________________________________________________________ Turns out I was missing a quotation mark, which killed VTF parsing. Highlighted in red.
  16. Genius. I never actually thought of that- that kind of demographic being the actual source for all the views to those estrangedly quasi-un-interesting vloggers.
  17. Found them browsing through CGhub.com a while ago. The respective artists' names escape my mind. Scaled down illustration from Drawforce.com Heavily shopped and scaled up picture from the Environment skybox from Team Fortress 2. I noticed the beauty of the picture exploring the details of koth_viaduct.
  18. Most splendorous and fortuitous that you introduce yourself, Romano.
  19. Justice: can man really judge for himself whether a man should live or die? Frodo: It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance. Gandalf: Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends.
  20. I've participated in several, only one of which carried very far until the Role-play died due to the GM falling out, or people losing interest. In it, I was "Captain Arthur Charles Nordal" of the A.N.E.C. Bluenose, a Pirate hunter in a medium-sized space frigate, which worked with several other player-character space vessels taking on an Intergalactic Superalien species which planned on conquering the galaxy. I also participated in others as a Zealot Swordsman, Steam-powered Robot, the nation of Rostovokia and currently am now "Captain Devin King" of the FS Chivalry, currently in shaky ground as the Original GM has lost interest and now I, being the Co-GM am in charge, and I have doubts in my ability.
  21. Well, I like that Christianity is intellectually credible and existentially satisfying.
  22. Cave Johnson here. You are now reading this in your mind with my voice. Ain't mental conditioning great? Just make those cheques out to cash, we're between banks right now. Aperture Science, we're done here.
  23. Even from what I knew about level building, I don't think I would have been able to come up with what Valve did, thinking about their local brush areas with portals. Man, it blows my mind.
  24. Just so you all know, The United Nations was not eager to do anything about Libya because Libya can't threaten World Security. The UN Security Council's job is preventing World War III. If displacing evil dictators was their job, North Korea would not be North Korea right now.
  25. That's when someone like me will suggest Pascal's Wager without knowing all of the repercussions that may ensue.
