I am not one to lourde honors and greatness over others because it makes others feel sad and makes me feel like a pile of prejudiced pride. I will keep my introduction as an Electoral Candidate simple and pithy so that my meanings are not lost or misconstrued. I shall declare my Candidacy with myself as the President of the Blue Bold Party. Pleasantfolk, countrymen, urbanites, gamers, kin of every kind, lend my thoughts your mind. Now, this very hour, this very day, we stand on the precipice of a bold new age. An age where the decisions of men and women are forever changing the course of human history as we ride but the first ripples in a terrific wave of change. An age in which computers are shrinking, waters turning afoul, video games becoming shorter, and the young and inventive disappearing amongst the older and reiterative. Some of this change is excellent, some of it is terrible, and it is up to God only knows to make the effects necessary to ensure an outcome we can adore. Employment gratifies overwork and underpayment, Media glorifies gluttonous consumption and exorbitant destruction, Culture gorges on empty pleasures and temporary gratification, neglecting the nature of this era of change and disregarding the fantastic opportunities we face nearly every moment. These wastes are on the way out, if we are willing to change ourselves, for culture is made of "Us", not "Them". Our civilization shall quickly sprint towards a new time in civilization where the individual is respected and honored for their inherent brilliance as a thinker, a solver or a creator of new ideas and beauty, where space travel is really freaking cool instead of expensive tottering with explosives, where a person by themselves is encouraged to express themselves, even if few or none acknowledge or appreciate it. We need to be a part of it. We must commend and command ourselves to ride these tides of change as the internet shall become an inextricable implement of society and culture and bear consideration to the legacy of peoples we talk to or chat to in this hour and in this day, that we may be rational, that we may be accepting, that we may be tolerant, that we may be unselfish, humble, kind, and unafraid of what challenges will face us in the future. Unavoidably there will be challenges. Those thoughts ingrained and instilled into the insights of internet individuals whose identities have been 'idealized' with irrationality, or rejection, or egotism, or condescension, that they would define themselves above others. "Nay" I say to those who would resent the mind of nobler ideals to the wond'rous intertubes that we find ourselves frequenting. "Yay" I would say, to these ideals, and bring them forth as representative ideals of this forum, to its members, their conduct, and their Boldness of mind. Truthfully and honestly I say, that I make it my Mission: 'To bring Unity, Trust, Friendship and Peace, to the Accursed Farms, and as direct consequence, every website whom is interacted with thereafter.' Our eloquence and strength of character in excellence, goodness and kindness shall be the token to bear the character of Boldness. Thus our motto shall restate the mission. "Unity, Trust, Friendship & Peace"

Darnel and wheat look very similar in most stages of growth, until about the same time as when wheat is ripe for harvest (that is a golden brown), darnel appears black. It is also somewhat poisonous. The parable references how human beings are all quite similar at young ages , but their true nature becomes more easily readable in how others react and interact with them, and thus by both the "fruits of their efforts" (actions) and "fruits of their hearts" (thoughts) man at the end of the world will be judged as to where each one should go.

I am considering declining, as being the General Secretariat and a nominee would be a conflict of interest- .... Oh to swiddley with it, Secretariat is both a feminine and ceremonial position. I'll have to do some doing in order to come up with a party. Officially, yes, I accept the nomination.

Well since two users nominated the same person, theoretically one of them could nominate another, because a user does not need two nominations.

There is an unnamed mountain that appears in several of the skyboxes for maps in Team Fortress 2. It's particularly enamouring for me on the map Viaduct. Click on the image to see some more of the skyboxes from TF2.

Many of the dilemmas and nigh-dramas of buying video games I avoid simply by not buying games all that often. The last time I bought a game was last month, but it was a new copy from Amazon that was 7 years old. Previous to that, the most recent game was Fallout 3 and then Mass Effect, both acquired in 2009. Insuch my slow acquisition of video games and latency of graphics necessity means that games are never particularly strenuous on my compy, and when I actually get to playing the latest and greatest, the graphical fidelity never ceases to amaze. It's sort of backward thinking, but it's not being a Luddite and it's also economical.

It's a pretty interesting machinima, and a competitor for the title of a good Machinma movie (like Robert Stoneman's War of the Servers) but I only liked it to a limited extent. It wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't poor either.

The gun on the left is the GAU-8. The plane on the right is the Republic-Fairchild A-10, which was designed and built a few months after the gun, in order for it to be properly employed in battlefields. The A-10 has seen extensions to service because of its effectiveness and durability until 2030, even though its been in service since 1977. Half of the forward fuselage is housing for the gun and its ammunition. The other half is the cockpit and fuel.

(And Alyxx) On this day, Monday the 13th of June, I declare myself the General Secretariat of the Election and open a thread for the Nomination of Candidates for the Electoral Race for the Title of President of the Forums of Accursed Farms [i]"What is a President"[/i], you ask? The President is basically a King of Town kind of position over all the forum. They get to hold the title for one year or whenever the next election begins. [i]"Who can be President?"[/i] As stipulated by a bunch of rules I made up, in order to be eligible for nomination, you have to be a user of this forum, and can not be a Moderator or Admin, that's about all the limitations there are. [i]"How can I get to be President?"[/i] Simply enough, a user has to nominate you, and you have to accept. You can't nominate yourself (directly or indirectly), and you're only allowed to nominate one person. If user A nominates user B and user B accepts, that person can then make an Electoral Party with themselves as the Leader of that party. However, if user C nominates user D and user D declines, then user D doesn't have to go in the running for office, and user C can still nominate someone else. [i]"Cool, I've been nominated! Now what?"[/i] Now that you're a Nominee, you can now create an Electoral Party with yourself as the Leader. The Party must have a Name, Mission Statement and Motto. Apart from those things it can be about and with whatever you want. A Party Leader is allowed to have up to five subordinates and a Vice-President, which can do and be titled with whatever the Party Leader chooses. If a Nominated Party Leader drops out, the Vice President can replace him in the Party, but Subordinates cannot. Once you have your party, get known! What is your party going to do about all the social and societal issues that the Accursed Farms, the Intertubes and the World face right now? Why should other users care? How awesome are you? Make yourself famous the assistance of your Subordinates and Vice, so that people will vote for you when the final Vote comes around. The Electoral System is almost complete, still gonna be needing a bit more typing though. I plan on this thing lasting a while and want it fairly watertight, so once anyone who actually sees it is probably going to be off-put by how Legalistic it looks. But the point of it is not going to be a To-Do list, it's going to be the framework of what I hope the Election will appear when all is said and done: A casual forum game, with a iron skeleton underneath. Thus so that we'll be able to hold elections every year if we wish. The Election will work by simple threads like this one, but just like right now, what's not seen is a long list of Dos and Do Nots which also say who can and who can't, which will enable consistency of me being the Secretary and also legitimate yeses and nos.
