    Q & A Thread

A certain argument with a certain co-worker when I was much younger and working in a warehouse. Thankfully facing this memory allows it not to be some kind of shirked repressable memory. What is the first game that was so hard or so absurd or so badly made that you never finished it?
  2. This one time I had piano lessons. I gave up by about hour five. In all honesty I do not regret the decision, but do resent my inability to play a musical instrument. I probably will take something up some day...

  4. The things foremost in a good engineer's mind when placing a sentry are "How big is its line of fire" and "How much of its hitbox is exposed to enemy lines of fire". The best sentry position is one that has 100% or more of its enemy sightline also filled by its own line of fire (better still is when its weakspots and/or its line of fire is covered by another sentry). The worst sentry has most of its line of fire not covering its own weak spots. Being able to manage and account for the Sentrie's blindspots are always the marks of better engineers. That said, corners, large spaces and looking over hills usually spell blindspots that you can see but the sentry can't, that enemies can also maneuver inside or around. But those are things that a good engineer always is able to consider. The biggest annoyance I've had of late is F2Pers building their sentries directly beside mine. Yes, it doubles the firepower of that one position, but also doubles their vulnerability since they both share the same weak spots, and are virtually the same distance to metal sources for repairs or upgrades. Spread out and make mutual cover zones.
  5. I started the world famous runabout. I mean Presidential election. Since no one seems to care or anything, I declare myself King.
  6. The fact that the Brony article has only been around since the tail end of last month corroborates that idea.
  7. Since much of art is subjective, I will opinionate that song as "Cacophony".
  8. You might like Banksy, a famous pseudonym of a graffiti artist from Britain.
  9. I tasted transmission fluid somehow once. Rated one star, would not try again.
  10. A good method of characterizing someone is showing how they respond to stress.
  11. You are aware that you've just portrayed being a Brony as a pyramid scheme, not a carnival sideshow- aren't you?
  12. This post left intentionally blank.
  13. Good old monitor. Soon you'll get replaced... You know, there's nothing quite like the feeling of good old fashioned object tracking in animation: Drawing on your screen with a dry-erase marker.
  14. Half Life 2 Episode 3 I understand, they haven't said anything about it because there's nothing to say about it; which is to say that they are coming up with both story elements that will live up to everyone's expectations (Will Freeman defeat the Combine? What of the unresolved romantic tension between Alyx and Gordon? What of G-Man? What of Civilized humanity? Etc.) and technical innovations set to wow the populace. In this day and age those are quite high expectations to live up to, and thus I would think they are within their right to take their time about it.
  15. But, you are making a deal out of it by commenting on the fact.
  16. It's kind of like music.
  17. Good. Now is a time for beach volleyball.
  18. The church in the middle is the only thing without a reflection. I am considering looking into Van Gogh more.
  19. Confound those machines. They drive me to think!
  20. My reaction to Ponies:
  21. Which is a good thing. If the maker of a show is neither proud of what they make or they do not enjoy it, it does not bode well for the show. One of the reasons why Pixar makes great movies is that Pixar employees absolutely love their jobs, for example.
  22. Sad Faec I joke. I'm in much better spirits than that comment would suggest. I was trying to make a caricature statement of how I comment on things. Also, my avatar has a beard. Your sadness is invalid and is now happiness. The tickets are now diamonds.
  23. Mandatory pithy remark upon the gravitase and significance of this thread's existence as well as witty self depreciation. Joke made at the expense of self dignity in order to humor other users. Meta-meta-reference followed by meme. Forever alone.
