Lots of Astronauts have also come from North Carolina if I'm not mistaken.

What irks me greatly is the fodder of the weak minded: "9/11 was an Inside Job" is a very successful franchise of conspiracy theory junk DVDs and stickers. The Guy who started it is a multi-millionaire, the people whom he pawned them to are a nominal component of voters who affect how the government of the US is run.

If you made a machinima, what would it be about.
Blue replied to devilk870's topic in Machinima in general
Well in my fiction of post-combine, antlions are a non-issue with the exception of wild ones, seeing as the presence of Vortigaunts would probably enable a great deal of domestication- and possible consequent industrialization. -
One of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, as well as Metal Slug 4. The TMNT game sat in a dusty corner in the basement of my teenage-years church, and a broken panel in the front enabled oneself to hotwire it- rubbing two different cables together at their split ends would provide Lives in the game since they were ripped from the coin feed. Fond memories of beating the game easily when whenever oneself was short on lives, they would bend down, jiggle the torn wires and hear the rewarding chorus: "C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-COWABUNGA!!"

That picture is relatively accurate to some things I recall from the show. Specifically the cartoonish treatment of rather serious physical infractions. Such as: setting your hair on fire (see above), being caught and pulled into an industrial blender (Eps. 18 The Showstoppers), attaching an apple to a spring at the bottom of a bobbing-for-apples tub (Eps. 25 Party of One), and so on. I know it's riffing off the cartoon violence so typical of the genre of children-directed animation (thank you, Chuck Jones and Tex Avery) but not in a minor or major way, and that medium irks me greatly when I see it.

You have started the "Mane 6 domination" Not long from now and we'll have the rest on here. I would rather deny ever having association with the content of My Little Pony than have my username changed.

Good idea: Researching rocket fuel and spewing hot gasses

I wish the same could be said for other serious topic threads, seeing as the tonality on some of them seem to very seldom waver from being serious, but subject matter which they discuss varies greatly between weightily serious and obtusely comic.

Acutely, I like blackberries better than blueberries. Also I'd post lyrics of an interesting variety as well, but now is not a time good enough for them. PS: Ha ha ha

It might be the cord, but I would guess it's more likely the power supply inside the console died. They might be designed to fail instead of distributing dangerous surges to internal components like the processor.

Nothing comes to mind off the top of my head, although I don't doubt I've done somesuch in my twenty years. What do you think your bacon number is?

It's rather fascinating how "Why is sex wrong" has turned into "Why casual sex is the way of the future".

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

Which as the flow chart demonstrates, can change if new evidence is presented. Since it's prone to change, I wouldn't go around saying "It's absolute!" unless it was succeeded by the qualification "Until proven otherwise!" -
I don't need to be careful. I have a gun!

Canada is good at lots of stuff. It's just less outspoken.

There are a great many considerations that can be undertaken with an amazing amount of liberty when free speech is provided. Or we can just use the opportunity to not think about anything and just throw words together in the blind hope that it will amuse someone other than yourself. The choice is yours to make between the indulgence, or that hope.

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

Well I'm glad that we're satisfied with basically a summarization of what was established on several different pages but people kept getting off issue with some other aspect which made people frustrated with. Not naming names... -
Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
Blue replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
Evolution should be taught in school. Big Bang theory should be established that it's the best theory we have for the source of the Universe as science explains it as of yet. Creationism should not be mentioned lest it infringe on the religious rights or inclinations of the teacher or on behalf of the government. If we are agreed with this assertion it would relieve me if this thread was not posted in again. -

But that's just your opinion. I know others share it, including me, but others may not. No, it's not an opinion. That's a fact. That is not being objective. That is being prejudiced. Or predisposed, or whatever other word you would like to use to describe a personal preference to one side of the argument or the other. Matters of religion cannot be considered without bias. If eternal life in any shape or form is possible, then any sort of consideration regarding them is with the inherent bias of being in favor or opposed to such an idea, and there is no way to consider it objectively. Matters of science are systems which govern the basis of Sense and Fact. They cannot govern life in as much as the capacities for which we survive (art, love, pleasure) because those things can't entirely and shouldn't absolutely be governed that way. By "The capacities for which we survive", I mean that they are things that survival does not value, but they give value to survival. -
Pastries are far more dependent on wheat (or at least rice)-based flour, as well as yeast or other rising agents, than apples. To that, it can be supposed that chemistry is a thing in Equestria, unless baking soda grows from plants some place. If chemistry exists, then I think I'll fit in just fine.

Try not to panic, and remember that putting my towel on my head would ensure safety: if you can't see Lara, she can't see you. What would you do if you were sitting alone at a computer with no knowledge as to the current location(s) of ninjas in your house? RIGHT NOW?

If Ponyville is dependent on the economy of the Apple Family Farm, that's not very good. You'd think at least Sugarcube Corner and Rarity's store would contribute to the economy at least a little bit.
