I liked the earlier FF games (love me some high fantasy) but as the games got more and more future-tech I lost interest.

Did you know that a polar bear's liver contains lethal amounts of vitamin A?

Jet Set Radio Future It came with my xbox so, clearly, it wasn't a very good game, so I didn't put it in for a few months. But when I did, I realized how awesome of a game it was. It was really the atmosphere blew me away.

I think, if it truly were free roam, that would definitely be one of their major selling points. I wouldn't expect a game "inspired by classic zombie movies" to be too expansive or deep.
-
The only problem with free roam games is that they take a lot of designing if you want to fill the world; and a zombie apocalypse game is not likely have a ton of creative direction or intensive story writing behind it. However, it's only a matter of time before this idea does become reality, I believe, as the description itself would likely draw in plenty of buyers itself.

minecraft I played it and enjoyed it until I ran out of things to do other than build I mean, I can build stuff for weeks and weeks, but I don't understand how it got so popular when there's really only an hour or two of content -
Well, I'm not sure I would say morrowind's shining feature is its gameplay, but the storyline is vastly superior, and the main storyline is more of a story rather than "in order to advance you must level up" (except for the very beginning). If you ever want to see how quickly someone can beat the game, check out the morrowind speed run here: 7:30 As for oblivion having better voice acting, more isn't always better if you're getting the same 12 people to do thousands of lines of text. I enjoy the gravely dark elves better. I agree about fast travel.

banned for lack of semicolons in your post. ;

I'm going to have to agree with you there on mario kart DS. There's some inexplicable force or mechanic that made it a ton of fun.

a friend showed me half life: full life consequences ( ) and I just surfed through related videos for a while and eventually found FM.

you know, I think I'd be fine if I watched ross narrate a nature documentary. Like, pull some stock footage of geese and yell at them for a couple minutes. "and that one right there! I hope he gets eaten by a shark!"

Oh, man... you can hear children watching musical television in the background. This thing hits the young hard, man. I stopped watching after the use of the fill bucket in the title scene.

I fucking loved this game! It came with my Xbox, haha. I still have the sound track on my ipod.

the worst game I've ever played would have to be... FF5 or Sonic CD It may have just been the ultimate frustration I felt at both games, but I remember them being complete wastes of time. Unfortunately, lacking an emulator, I cannot replay the games as I buried FF5 in my back yard in Connecticut and I smashed Sonic CD to tiny shards. I should really find an emulator.

Oblivion is actually larger than Morrowind (about 30% so), but Morrowind FEELS larger because of the fog, mountains and quick changes in terrain.

You know, I really should have mentioned in my first post it does get better after he figures out his routine. If only it could stand a little more on its own. yea, but it's fine how it is. The problem he has is that he didn't really give Shephard a character as Ross gave Gordon, which means most of the jokes and things in the first few episodes weren't entirely 'Shephard', but as the series goes on the personality grows organically and you begin to get a sense of who he is (even though now and then he goes back to Gordon).

1. Morrowind 2. Medieval 2: Total War 3. Age of Empires 3 4. Dwarf Fortress 5. Halo 1 (6. Half Life 1) Mostly games I started out playing that haven't really been replaced by the games of late. Nostalgia, Ho!

I don't think single player is going to go away. As multiplayer grows more popular, so will the counterculture who detest it for no real reason (or, rather, dislike the people who are often found in multiplayer, you know the ones). The games that cater to single players won't be massive hits or huge titles, but they will continue to come just as steadily as they do now.

I began enjoying Shephard's mind when he stopped trying to be Ross. Haven't begun watching any of the others yet.

If you enjoyed those two, start with oblivion (be sure to get the shivering isles expansion as it has a far more interesting story line). Once you get bored with oblivion, I would suggest going back and trying Morrowind. My advice would be that if you do not enjoy it at first, stick with it, it's more fun when you understand the game more. If you've played for a good couple hours and still don't like it, put it down. It's not for everyone. sorry for the double post
