Incidentally, am I the only one who actually wants to see the extent of what Celestia and Luna can do? All we know so far is that they raise and lower the sun and moon. What else can they do? Cupcakes eh? Heh, my friend and I have turned that into a game. We pick a spot and stand there while reading it out loud on one of our phones. It's hilarious when people show up, hear a few lines and are like "WTF". Best one by far was when someone walked up while my friend was reading the part where RD was getting electrocuted. He thought it was porn, and promptly got the hell out of there.

I don't think of 'realism' as gallons of blood spurting from corpses created by lightning shot from a magic wand.

Frankly, the only problem with Monopolies is that they can essentially do whatever they want if they are the only provider of a certain product. However, if a monopoly actually held itself to a standard equal to modern day corporations that are forced to do so by reason of competition, then a monopoly would be totally okay with me. I'd be just fine with driving a Chevy if Chevy is the only car company in the world, so long as it makes GOOD vehicles. If a state-owned monopoly does just as well as privately-owned corporations, then I see no problem whatsoever with them.
