I dunno, I think the only video game movies I would really enjoy would be ones not based off the games themselves, but set in the universe and canon at some different point in time, or set during the games' events, just something OTHER than the game's story. Like, when the Mass Effect movie was first announced, there was speculation it would be set during the First Contact War and show what it was like for the humans against the Turians for that brief conflict. I personally think that would've really worked as a film, but then they decided to go ahead and just redo the story of Mass Effect. Suddenly don't care anymore. The worst part is Seth Green isn't gonna be Joker, either! But take something like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children which, while full of the stupid anime Japan crap a lot of people hate with wierd characters and storyline, at least it wasn't just remaking FFVII all over again, it was continuing that universe. Those kinds of movies I can really enjoy more. I'm not saying movies can't follow the plot of the game and be good, I'm just saying it'd have to be damn well executed before I can really enjoy it. Otherwise, it just makes me feel like what's the point of even having the game if I can just watch it as a movie without having to push a button other than 'Play'? That said, I'll wait and see what Deus Ex brings to the table once it's released. Just as soon as I play the games.

Just burned Star Wars Episode IV Revisited on DVD, which looks pretty cool, and I got 'legal permission' too since I already own the original on DVD. I probably would've burned it anyway even if I hadn't but still.

Wasn't as scary as I thought in my playthrough. I could see Slenderman from far away and kept trying to get away from him, but he never just showed up as I turned a corner. I ended up GETTING cornered backing up to a wall just like in the video, watching him just creep up to me at the very end.
