I know, right? That's what put me off, too. It just got really stupid, and not a good kind of stupid. But I pushed myself to keep watching through the episodes, and believe it or not they actually get BETTER as it goes on. Sure that doesn't make a good show from a business angle, but it worked for me to watch.

It's taken me almost four years since I became really active on the internet but I think I've actually done it. I've finally become invested in this fucking show. Logic be damned.

Well, it is just the season opener. A lot of people say the first episodes are their least favorite. I don't know why, especially with Discord, one of my favorite characters from the show, but I can understand with this episode. I don't think we'll have to fear that it'll return to 'normal' episodes soon. I'm not so much disappointed with the episodes as I am worried about fan reception. People tend to have stronger opinions than I do on games and movies and TV shows, and the MLP team has shown to take that very seriously. I'm just worried the brony fanbase will end up despising season 3 and any after it as 'THAT season'. Then they'd start poking fun at season 2 and well...let's just say I really hope it pulls off something amazing to appease the more vocal parts of the fanbase. (By the way, fuck the more vocal parts of the fanbase most of the time)

An underdeveloped villain is also the only thing I can really think to criticize. Other than that I loved the premiere.

Honestly the whole 'robots will become civilians' thing always seemed unrealistic to me. Why, when we create fully functional, maybe human-based machines, would we create them just to live like us? Creating some robot machine race that lives alongside us for no apparent reason other than 'cuz itd be cool' doesn't seem worth the effort. I'm 99% sure when scientists begin making fully capable machines, they won't give them the intelligence t think for themselves, they're simply there to do things for us. And even then, you could argue that it's a waste of time to create robot servants, anyway, since that means we'd be out of a LOT of work. And also the chance of a robot rebellion possibly uprising is bad, too. But that last one is pretty stretched.

This fucking game. So I've been playing Peace Walker recently, and I've been trying to unlock the final boss battle. I did every goddamn thing I was supposed to, followed all the requirements, and for some reason, the game just refuses to let me finish it. And the HD version on the 360 has been known to be buggy before (I haven't experienced any so far since they fixed it afaik) but I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing something or did something wrong or what. All I know is I keep having to do the same missions over and over again hoping in vain I did everything correctly and I've been doing this for days. It's pissing me off. One of my biggest problems with it is one of the requirements is to upgrade your Mother Base to two plants, and then, along with all the other requirements ( which I KNOW I've followed) it's supposed to give me access to the final battle. But I've upgraded my fucking base to at least three plants now and it STILL won't work for me! This is ridiculous! And if I'm doing anything else wrong the internet sure isn't helping me! I've looked on so many message boards, forums, strategy guides, they all say the same thing, and I've DONE everything they've said! Why won't you let me finish you? EDIT: Oh, and wouldn't you know it. It works for me right after I posted this. Wonderful.

Just for sadistic pleasure, yeah. Even doing that just to test the pain threshold or whatever would be wrong. You wouldn't commit tests like that on a human. And I believe there are far too many robot enslavement movies out there for us to create a working sentient robot and treat it like trash. A non sentient is debateable. But for no reason, then sure.
