Well at least I finally have someone to blame when people start asking why I'm procrastinating in school. Emperor Palpatine! Anyway, working on finishing up Phoenix Wright.

Twix, but out of the choices I picked Reeses.

Bioshock Infinite making big claims about ending
Pinkie Pie replied to Ross Scott's topic in Gaming in general
Anyway, while where the discussion went was entirely off-topic, the fact still remains that that is a pretty unique ending as far as video game endings go. I'm not so much disbelieving of the fact that Infinite might have a 'unique' ending but how far will that go? To use BS2's ending as an example, I'm actually inclined to believe in Chuck's theory. For all we know, it could just be visually different. For example, 'ascent to a higher being', but because THESE events happened, whatever they may be. See? Difference! But basically, it's the same ending. Or they could go with 'kill the bad guy' whoever that is, but he dies THIS WAY! It's different because of THIS! And yeah, for all we know, they only said that to hype up the game. Slight ME3 spoilers: I've heard good things about the Bioshock games, but I've had disappointments with games in the past, and ME3, while very early this year, is still a bit of an open wound with me. I'm getting tired of people not living up to the rest of their product in the end this year. I don't like developers making big claims knowing full well they can't live up to them. Especially in very story-centric series with huge audiences and, up till then, good plots. (I also hate adding multiplayer to said story-centric games after almost every other entry in the series didn't have it, and it detracted from the overall workload of development. Maybe ACIII didn't have a problem, but I know ME3 needed all the help it could get. They pushed that game back and it still was unfinished.) That's what I really like about Batman: Arkham City. People (idiots, mind you) begged to have multiplayer in AC and Rocksteady shut them down because it was pointless. And you know what? That game was really good and had a damn good ending. (Granted, the DLC was a bit disappointing) I'm just saying I really hope the ending wows everybody. We don't need another ending controvery that lasts a whole year and longer just for the sake of staying 'in people's minds'. Fucking Bioware... /rant -

Just saw the new Man of Steel trailer. Everything looked good except for one part. After they show a few clips of a scene where, apparently, Superman as a kid first shows his powers when he saves a sinking bus from drowning everybody by lifting it out of the water, his stepfather tells him, 'You need to keep this a secret." I can sort of get that since the government - and the world - would go apeshit over him and aliens and everything but...I dunno, that line seemed kind of forced. Then when kid Superman replies, 'What was I supposed to do, let them all die?' The dad says, "I dunno...maybe." Good talk, dad. Good fucking talk.

I think everyone has learned that lesson inherently. O.T. Had a dream where Foal -repped me twenty points for no apparent reason. I spend way too much time on here... Playing Phoenix Wright.

Which served her quite well in the Diamond Dogs episode. Plus if you're going to call Rarity a manipulator, Applejack is, too. She manipulated the entire goddamn village into believing she won all those competitions.(And broke a Pinkie Promise) Sure, she had a somewhat good excuse by making up the money later, but the point still remains. Though, to be fair, it does seem like Rarity's personality fluctuates between being generous all the time, to being a brat in certain situations. But then, you can also attribute that to the fact that nobody's perfect. As is also shown by the other ponies who make mistakes frequently.
-
I wouldn't say she resists an honest day's work, it's just that her idea of work has to do with making dresses or making someone look 'fabulous'. Not carrying carts around or working in the mud. As for life plans, ponies. Lots of ponies. That's about the only answer I could give in the pony thread, after all.

She does have a point, I've never seen that in a game ending before. Not that that would be a *good* ending, but unique, if anything. -
I just find it a little odd that Rarity's actions are taken as 'slip-ups' that somehow prove she's still a bratty bitch to everyone in the community or something. Everyone acts like jerks at some point in the show. Hell, Shiny makes it almost a personal mission to find faults in Applebloom. Honestly, their whole demeanor could change within thirty minutes of running time. And Rarity's done way more generous things than acting like a stuck-up prude to begin with. That moment where Rarity doesn't carry the cart and then has the audacity to complain about sweat was funny (in my opinion) because it's a cartoon. I don't dislike Rarity because of it, if anything, I find her hilarious because of what a prissy girl she is.

Playing Phoenix Wright. Good lord I love this game.

Ah she'll change it before the next day, anyway.

No no no no no gotta make it to the 600th page! Success!

/taking cartoon characters seriously like real people

Do we really need to have a vastly tragic event to shake people up? Does it really have to come to that? It's like that in fiction all the time. And honestly, I'm not even sure it'd do anything in the long run if we almost got screwed over by some civilization-changing event that actually had consequences.
-
If it was possible, I'd love to personally see to it that the world gets their shit together and forms under one banner. (Or at least support each other instead of screwing each other over) Commander Shepard style. Unfortunately, that would mean that everybody stops being assholes, which is almost impossible to get ONE person to do, let alone everybody.

Actually, that concept has been written into a LOT of fanfics.

*sniff* Oh, Kirk! I feel the same way about you!

I hate to post after like, fucking every single person, but I would just like to point out that, taken from his perspective: A multi-million dollar company has just used YOUR fanwork on their promo picture. YOURS. Now, whether that's due to laziness or appreciation, I do not have the answers. I dunno about the artist, but I'd feel pretty goddamn humbled to have my work plastered on something next to an official Pinkie Pie.
