You are SOOOO wrong it's not even funny. Just take a look at their media and tell me you still think the same.
-
Right but he'd have to have the set it to some number.
-
I don't know then. If Ross feels so, maybe he'll respond to this forum and tell us his console command specifics. I've always wanted to know exactly what number he uses for his sk cheats.
-
If I had to guess I'd say sk_plr_dmg_9mm 20, he probably uses the same number for his other weapons as well.
-
No no no, Hazard Course training was something he went through just prior to getting on the tram.
-
It may come to that. I mean in the newest episode, he just now realized they put tracking devices on his suit, which is how everyone is finding him, and the scientist said that everyone is in on it. Freeman then said that he was going to let that scientist live because he told him. As for others...we'll just have to wait and see.

:/ That would explain a lot. Almost everyone on the BM forums are complete assholes though (including devs) but as far as we know though they're basically done with the whole game. Like I said, they are mostly just fixing bugs. I know this is all off-topic so maybe there should just be a seperate thread talking about BM because I'm actually more interested in what the ex-BM mappers said.

What episode was that in? I don't think that ever happened. I guess since it's part of his training he'd KNOW about them, but with all the fighting and ranting about why the fighting is stupid, he just doesn't think about it.

I actually had this same criticism of Half-Life 2. All the story of why everything is as it is is "explained" by way of a single bulletin board in Eli's lab that I completely missed in my first playthrough. I wanted to know what actually happened and how things came to be, and interestingly enough, the only explanation that exists is to be had by reading 3rd party websites where people speculate on what happened. In-game, at face value, you wake up on a train, and just like in Half-Life 1, you're thrust from one event to another. Somehow a bunch of rebels start following you, even though you just fell into them by circumstance. In fact, had I not played Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2 might be one of the most poorly presented, confusing game ever. Consider the fact that Barney is a meta-joke from Half-Life 1, how all the guards look and sound alike, and in Half-Life 2 we're supposed to be great friends. Thoughts might go along with "Where am I? Why are there aliens? Why am I in Russia (never did figure that out)? Who is this guy? What's a combine?" None of those questions are officially answered in the game. If anything, it makes the G-Man's speech at the beginning more interesting, because he seems to know that Freeman is a bumbling seemingly immortal fuckup and everything he touches falls to total shit, so just throw him into the machinery and watch it all grind to a halt. Of course I complained about that when Half-Life 2 came out but I got accused of having to be 'spoon-fed' the plot Well that's because it'll all be explained to you over the course of the games. Though I think it's fairly obvious what the answers are anyway. Some questions like, "Why am I in Russia." (even though you're not in Russia) are probably never going to be explained for lack of reason to be. Why do you need to know what country it is in the game? You don't really. -
It would be nice if you could link to this info posted by one of the team members. It would be nice if they posted this on an official easy to get access to page that I COULD link to. Sadly I'm forced to take what I've read from them on the subject in their forums. It's not exactly 'common knowledge' either because people won't go look for answers. I can't give you a suitable link because my info comes from the devs on their forums from even years back and I don't really want to fish through dozens of forum pages. Sorry.

I can understand missing a release date, but to miss it by 2 years? Maybe they modified the project somewhat? Or started over? Obviously, I have no idea, but it sounds like a massive project to me. It is. They set that date to push themselves and when they missed it, they almost completely started over. Improving already made areas drastically. Right now the game is basically done. They're mostly fixing bugs.

It's pretty obvious as Mako pointed out (and the many times Freeman has said it) that suit is pretty much indestructible. He's extremely lucky none of the soldiers shot him in the head (which wouldn't be a problem if he had his helmet) There's a whole thing about it on theFM article in the HL Machinima wiki.

33 & 34 Green?! It's a sign of the apocalypse!

Could you keep me as the publisher please? Maybe. I'll have to go over it with my assistant, Batman. -

I'll take the liberty of editing out J.C's name, putting my own, turning the diary into a real book and then amassing a multimillion dollar company while I keep J.C locked in my dungeon. :3 -
FM introduced ME to Half Life. Hell, it introduced VALVE to me. I'd say Ross took money out of my wallet and gave it to Gabe because their games are some of my most played.

Freeman Rejecting G-Man's Offer A Viable Option?
Pinkie Pie replied to Pinkie Pie's topic in Freeman's Mind
Yeah I read that too, but I doubt Ross will end it there though. I have no doubt FM will stay popular till the very end. -

I like how in the newest episode Freeman did almost the same thing though, inadvertently responded to this thread. He hit the switch and then said, "Wait, I was supposed to stop pressing strange buttons wasn't I?" -
Well just because it was an April Fools joke doesn't mean this one has to be. But, I never said it necessarily was anyway. We'll just have to see whenever it comes out. Well actually, then another week of complaining for Machinima to release it, and then we'll know.

No, it's gotta be FM related. Ross said he'd churn out a ton of FM episodes, I don't think two counts as 'a ton'. AND, Mystery EPISODE right after a Freeman's Mind EPISODE with no talk of Civil Protection just makes it more obvious. Maybe it's another 10.5 type thing?

What...does this have to do...with...the...topic....periods... -
Why would we pay for it? I'd just like to see Ross edit all the episodes together into one, I know there's a thread that had one like that but it wasn't that good really. Ross would make it much better. All we'd have to do then is burn it to a CD and presto, our very own Freeman's Mind DVD. Custom box CD art not included.

You guys may not look at the progress bars but some people still do. (myself included) If you don't look at it, fine but I'd like to keep it up there.
