I will admit that that contributes to about 45% of my interest in this film, but I find the complaint a bit misplaced considering all of the other girls shows that involve magical, perfect beauties who can do anything they set their heart too in skimpy skirts that they somehow forgot to mention. What sets this movie apart? Actually, a better question - Who else but soccermoms (Who's opinions do not matter) would complain about that, anyway? I'm just interested if the story is any good and if the obvious forced romance will impede in my entertainment too much.

This is the second time my laptop has allowed me to stay on for a long stretch of time with no freezing without any parts. I'm wondering if I was just particularly cursed for a small amount of time or not, but it's working normally now. I'm still going to replace the fan just to be sure as it still doesn't want to work right, but the laptop isn't fucking on me anymore. (For now, anyway)

I know this is kind of a shit situation but I can't help but giggle a little at it. Maybe it's because I'm morbidly glad someone else's computer may be in worse shape than mine is. Hope everything works out, Ross.

I don't care what their reasoning is, I'm not buying a console that could potentially be shut off at the whim of our Lord and Savior, Microsoft, here. I have barely enough money to afford a fully-functioning console, I'm certainly not getting one that can shut off in the blink of an eye when the power goes out. And yes, I know they check once a day so you can temporarily play offline, but once that day is over you're fucked. My only regret is I probably won't be able to finish playing the new Halo trilogy.

Wish granted, you now have enough money to buy yourself a few burritos at Taco Bell. What? Not to your liking? Perhaps you should have been more clear as to how much 'enough' is. I wish most public places would allow me to set my own preference on what constitutes as 'shirt and shoes.'

Just finished watching Episode 46 and downloading demos of various Call of Duty games. Kind of want to get WaW and Black Ops.

Well, it seems in my limbo state with no functioning computer, I completely forgot Ross was doing a 'two episode a month' thing. My favorite part was probably the sniper bullet hitting Freeman's armor. (and his reaction afterward) The sound effect was appropriate and it's another one of those instances where Freeman ALMOST died. I just love it. Well, not the almost-death part because that would suck, but you know what I mean.

Is it wrong that their designs have grown on me?

I...THINK I can sympathize? At the very least, I know what it's like to be shot down. Sometimes I mumble, but even when I'm speaking clearly, I DESPISE when people interrupt me as if I wasn't just talking. As if what I'm saying isn't as important as what they're saying so they can just talk over me until I shut up and they get their way. Especially when it's something I think will contribute to the conversation and they completely change the subject. It's exasperating as hell. That might not be the same problem but -- Vent Thread.

Called a friend of the family to see about replacing the laptop fan. Hopefully I'll be able to safely use the thing again without fear of it burning itself out or something. Even the portable fan isn't doing the trick.

Yeah, that about sums it up. I'm simply annoyed by their practices, be it evil contracts or whatever not-so-legal things Ross mentioned, it's dumb and they're dumb for doing it.

Well, I tried to get it to work on my computer by itself at first, but yeah, I didn't own it. It supposedly does work with ScummVM and DOS, though. I've seen a number of people claiming the same. So, I don't know. I still want a Monkey Island collection, though.

Finally beat the emulator version of Yoshi's Island. It would have taken longer but I realized that collecting all the items is pointless so I just sped through the rest of the game normally. I'll probably try out Yoshi's Island DS next.

I've only played the first, second, and most of the fourth one (The game had a game-breaking glitch and I was forced to delete my save) and I absolutely adore this series. I really want some sort of hi-def collection of the games so that I can play them all. Scummvm refuses to work for me for Monkey 3 and I even tried DOSbox to no avail. But I loved the first two and I really would like to see more.

Agh, my laptop is continuously freezing on me and I know it's because my system fan isn't working right. I've tried every other blasted alternative to getting it fixed - Putting a portable fan to it, checking for dust, etc. - but I don't think it's getting any better. Now we've got to shell out to see if we can get the fan replaced or something.

I thought that was the black sheep of the Deus Ex series. At least, that's what all the 'cool kids' tell me.
