WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ADVENTURE GAMES?
Pinkie Pie replied to Vince_Montego's topic in Gaming in general
I also heard he's going to completely retcon everything after MI2, which is a shame given how good CoMI was. -
Currently, I am attempting a fanedit of the original X-Men film that takes out entirely any reference to the 'mutant-making machine' and link it together with X2 as one whole movie. I really, really, REALLY don't like that whole plot in X-Men 1. Even X3 has a better overall arc than the original. (Even though the original X-Men is a better movie for the most part)

His voice REALLY got on my nerves the first 15 seconds of the video...then this actually got funny. I was also surprised how relateable it was, which is odd for a pony animation. Except for his mom, she's too cool to ever be relateable. I'm glad I gave it a chance, though.

WAT pMhfbLRoGEw I remember seeing one of the (many) reuploads of this video when I was 13 years old! That was four years ago! Jesus Christ, what the fuck took so long for this guy to finish such a simple, short animation video? It's not even colored! This looks like a test animation for a much larger production and instead NOW it's done? Christ.

The Wolverine. 6.5/10. I'll rate it a 7.5-8/10 when the uncut version comes out, but the theatrical version felt a bit too fast. That was probably so that they could keep it's PG-13 rating, but I think that held it back. This movie could have been pretty good if they had went for an R rating, but as is, it's just 'Good'. Not bad, not amazing, just good. A nice character study for Wolverine and a decent story. Whether that uncut version on DVD will change my mind, I dunno. Hope it does.

Neat. It only took like...a year and a half.

I'm a bit worried about this, if it's based on Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns", which would appear, judging by the line they used as teaser during the announcement. From what I understand, they're basing it off of Superman/Batman. They only read that line from TDKR to give you a hint at what it will be about. Not sure why they'd base it off of TDKR since we're still in the phase of this universe where the heroes are still relatively new.

Freaking out that they decided not to rush a JL movie and are focusing on two of the biggest members - Superman and Batman - in the newest DC movie. This is EXACTLY what needs to happen.

Finally found a copy of Ace Attorney (With book inside!) and snagged that little beauty up faster than you can count to one. Also saw the sequels but they were both 20 each. Those two games may be the only reason I visit a GameStop ever again.

I own DOTA 2 but I've never cared to play it. This would actually make me want to - all the time. For the love of everything holy, Ross, PLEASE do this!

MFW: 1Jxb9YwOUxo Best moment of the entire LoK series, btw Sometimes I sit and reminisce about Avatar and think about how great it is...and sometimes I tend to have a biased conversation with myself about why TLA is soooo much better than LoK and how it somehow fucks everything up... (Probably from all the harsh opinions I picked up after seeking out Avatar forums during LoK's season 1 was still airing) ...and then I remember scenes like that and suddenly LoK is the best thing ever again. Moral of the story is fuck other people's opinions. Also, related: 7ftLm52V1y0

I am a huge fan of this series and it's what got me into Final Fantasy in the first place. I was already a Disney fan since I was a kid growing up with the films. Hell yeah I'm getting this. That said, the new renders are pretty cool-looking, but I'm curious as to how they're going to make it so Sora and company don't stand out on each world aside from costumes or something. All I know is they're making some kind of new shader called Kingdom that will fix what was apparently a 'problem'. I wasn't too bothered by it, but nn KHII, Sora very apparently stood out in the Pirates of the Caribbean world. As for how KH has lost it's magic since BBS, if that's when it started losing it for you I'd recommend Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS. (Although I wouldn't recommend buying a 3DS purely for the game.) To me, it harkens back to what KHI felt like instead of how COM and KHII kind of turned the series into a sillier Final Fantasy. Organization XIII felt too much like Final Fantasy to me and in retrospect I don't really like any of them besides Xemnas and Axel. But feels just enough like a mature Disney villain that it works for me. The design just feels 'right' for the series while Org.XIII just felt like rejects from FFVII. I also heard rumors they'll be putting Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars stuff in this game, all of which I'm a big fan of, so this is shaping up to be my favorite game of all time. Just hope they get it right.

I think he means no box-smashing room in the sense that it's not just boxes hanging precariously over a pit. It's now a conveyor belt hanging over the sewers, though stopped at some point during the Resonance Cascade so Gordon has to jump across. To be honest, I think it would have been cool to find a way to start the belt again and just ride down on a single box, but that wouldn't require nearly as much platform jumping. :/
