I agree with you to some extend. And I understand how signatures can become very annoying to some people, but that is why I suggest to simply set display signatures to "no" by default. That way the people who are new or are annoying by signatures don't have to deal with them, but the people who DO want to see/use signatures can simply turn it on. It should be really easy to do and would please both the people who want and the people who don't want to see signatures. Edit: Ninja'd

I've heard about it before as well, but nothing good.

I know he was getting complaints about it, but I didn't think that was an actual reason why he removed the signatures, because quite frankly its a really stupid reason. But I didn't know that until just now ^^

I actually also do miss signatures. They were a way for me to quickly identify the posters as well as a way to learn a little about the poster. If a new user joins the conversation it is nice to already know a little bit about him/her just by looking at his/her signature.

You were talking about ponies, which I don't think is the main reason why signatures got removed. Anyway I looked and there actually already is an option to display signatures. So if that would be on "no" by default, there should be no complaints and the users who DO want to see signatures can still use/see them.

Guys, take it to the MLP thread, this is completely off topic. Back on the signatures, I still haven't been told whether it would be possible to have an option in the UCP to hide signatures altogether. This option could be on by default so no new users would complain.

I guess the problem lies in the fact that the signatures are to big.

There cannot be a brony hater without a brony..... So I think your story is a bit one sided I would be amused to know what would you think if I made a justin bieber clan here? And a justin biber thread, and mention his updates, events and songs on threads? And remind you of him by putting a picture of him in my avatar. Go ahead and lie that you would allow that To be honest most Bronies on the forum kept their posts in the thread. Most other threads by Bronies were made by new users to whom the rules weren't really made clear. Then the haters/trolls started showing up and spamming the forum with threads about how Ponies should be Banned. After which the Moderaters started banning Bronies. They even gave the "head troll" a special user title(which on the forum only Moderators and Administrators can change.) saying "winning". And no, I wouldn't mind a Justin Bieber clan. I don't like his music, but I also have no reason to dislike the guy. I would just stay out of the topic and signatures/avatars don't bother me.

On the forum I had mentioned before they have now completely banned ponies. As much as mentioning it will get you muted/banned. And why? Because pony haters where trolling spamming the forums. Obviously the next logical step is to ban the bronies rather than the spammers. Logic.

I agree with ABG here. You can add people to your foe list to block their posts, so a feature allowing you to block all signatures shouldn't be all that complicated.
