  1. Commandos II: Destination Paris Mod Play on veteran for the real experience. Any game on Kongregate with an impossible badge. Meat boy. And a number of old NES classics. I've always found Megaman to be really difficult.
  2. Considering that only "many" survived after 10 days, I doubt tardigrades, or any earth animal for that matter, could survive in outer space long enough to reach another hospitable environment. Not to mention the +1000 °C temperatures they would face during reentry. I think under certain conditions they could survive. With the ability to survive at temperatures near absolute zero, they could reside inside the crack of a meteor or asteroid. They could also survive the really high levels of radiation. The problem is food. Also, the point isn't really the Tardigrades specifically. but that there is life that can survive being exposed to a vacuum, going without water for a decade, and the capability to withstand incredible levels of radiation. That leaves open the possibility that even more resilient life could exist that is actually capable of living on a meteor or asteroid. And it's not about reaching a hospitable environment or surviving reentry. Since this kind of life would have to have evolved on the meteor or asteroid that it resides on. Or how would something on a planet, get transferred onto a rock that's headed for outer space? The only way I can think of is if the planet was hit by a similar sized planet and some of these organisms survived on a fragment. That sounds unlikely. If the organism evolved on the asteroid and it's remains were found in a meteorite fragment. That would be incredible. As it would indicate that yes, life can and has evolved outside our blue marble. The ability to survive reentry is not required.
  3. I don't think they own any rights to the mods made by others. Just like the modders don't own any rights to the source material. Isn't it in the terms of service or whatever, that mods cannot be sold for money. So suing someone wouldn't be for damages but for the forced removal of the content from their site if the individual refused to remove it. Is it going too far? maybe not. especially not for the largest mods that took years to make like the graphic mod for Morrowind which makes it look absolutely INCREDIBLE. Unfortunately I can't even run it on my laptop. I'd be pretty upset if someone took years of my work without asking me for permission and then releasing it under their name in some kind of compilation of mods as if they made it all. And the threat of lawsuit is best done as just a threat. In most cases its enough to force a change. It's not like you have to attach a copy of a legal document to do it. lol
  4. Regarding the talk about finding micro-organisms on meteorites and the such that crashed into Earth. The general problem that always comes up is whether the micro-organisms in the meteorite originated from outer space or are Earth born micro-organisms that contaminated the meteor after impact. I don't know if the recent discovery in what was it.. February/March? that claimed that there was a way to tell the origin's apart, proved to be valid but I do recall that in the past it has been basically impossible to tell the exact origin of the micro-organisms or their remains. Regardless of all that. I think it's entirely possible for micro-organism's to survive outer space. As demonstrated by our resilient super badass water bear friends that survived the vacuum of space. 5. Capt. Malcolm Reynolds [on the ship's intercom] "This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then - explode."

  7. Genetic degradation to the point of annihilation. I doubt there will even be a fertile population in 100 years. And the best part of genetics is that they're hereditary. which of course means that our problems are likely to become our children's problems.

  12. Ask yourself this question. How do you divide 1 into three equal parts, mathematically, without using fractions? The repeating decimal number pretty much shows you the answer. You end up with a repeating number, how long does it repeat for? Infinity?
  13. Aaargh. Cap'n Goatbeard Freeman be wishin' ta kill some mermaids with his repeatin' flintlock. Ay, but Freeman need be learning how ta hold a tune to bait em in to his long boat. A man shan't be singin' no railroad songs on the high seas.
  14. Recently watched Stranger Tides. Best Pirates movie so far imo. Except for maybe the first one. The comedy was hilarious, even though Blackbeard was a let down. Only thing missing was captain Freeman
  15. If we're talking surprised or dumbfounded by watching extreme stupidity. I may lift both eyebrows. But generally I lower the left and raise the right. It's just easier than lifting the left, though I can do either or. Edit. Oh and right handed.

  17. This is a petty reason to hate all humanity. There are far worse things than people not returning your kindness. And if one is truly kind, they don't act out of expectation of something in return. There's nothing in Karma that prohibits you from protecting yourself from opportunistic jerks. Or from telling people to go eat a dick. btw, being nice to girls won't make most of them interested in you. That just makes you helpful.

  24. I think amnesia works. It's not the most original but I suspect it fits what Ross wants to do well enough. Like everyone's said, he's going to have to re-experience things all over again. new reactions, new witty remarks, some deja vu. It's a pretty good way to change things up so it doesn't get stale. I wonder if he's going to comment on his ear piercing.
