  1. This is why you need to search for ones that care. For example, I care.
  2. Speaking of which, did somebody enjoy their birthday movie? IN 3D!? Umm...I didn't get this one blame it on a foreign language
  3. I'm sorry, my human keeps walking over the keyboard and uploading pictures of itself, here's a real picture of me: I knew it! Very pretty kitty and a nice hat
  4. Ross power!
  5. You are not a cat!
  6. Thanks! Published ... I had to fix a line where Ross says he's impatient... Ross is one of the most patient people in the world and he said he's patient He does seem patient when he isnt frustrated by all the BS that game devs do but then again you do live with him so I guess you would know more than his audience do I know everything! BHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *creepy laugh* Yeah, but seriously, you noticed he is patient and he IS. Especially when compared to me He kept on making Freeman's Mind for 7 years! This says something! Well, it depends on the context since he can be patient to wait for a movie to show up on "dvd"

  8. The problem is that games are so widespread as an art form, it's really hard to define them using classic terms. If you say games are inanimate, like a chair or a table, then they shouldn't have any expiration date, either artificial nor a natural one. If you say games are an experience, like dining, can you really blame them for having an expiration date? If you order a dish at a restaurant and eat it bit by bit for a week - do you really expect it to stay the same? It needs some maintenance for you to have a consistent experience, and in the end, it'll still go bad. Shit dies and you can't blame anyone for it. That's the way the world works. And, yes, if you buy a book and return to it after 10 years, its pages will turn yellow. Some words will become ineligible, and some pages will outright fall out. The ravages of time are inevitable, and the more information something contains, the more it loses as time goes on. Now, I'm against planned obsolescence, but I cannot deny that it's sometimes used for good. I hate rotting food but I like beer. So what can I do to not suffer constantly? Do my homework. I need to know that if I buy a refurbished Apple product, its battery will die out within a year because of tempering and planned obsolescence. I cannot indict Apple for being dicks, but I can be aware of their shitty business practices. And we need to make that information widespread, to discourage companies from doing it and consumers from engaging in those practices. We can't outright ban them, but we can inform people. Why do you keep on pressing on art side? I'm talking about games that you pay for. Art or not, you PAY for it. A company made it, you PAY for it. That ends the discussion here for me and other discussing it as an art, has no sense in this context. A game that you paid for is a product. By what it is, it's something similar to a movie or a book (e-book). If a company says you buy a license or whatever, that's just a sneaky way for them to make you feel like you don't own it. But you're a consumer, and it's a product you're going to consume (in a sense of using it). It's not a piece of food to have an expiration date easy to define. There is NO problem with dividing it into inanimate or animate object. Movies and books (e-books) don't have an expiration date and it's not necessary to wonder if they have. A game can remain up and running even after many years. It all depends on having your data and software running and a right equipment. In this point of view, a game cannot ever expire if you have right conditions to run it. A game cannot really have a planned obsolescence. It can only be killed by making the essential data inaccessible. It's not a piece of hardware only. When a game comes out, no one (sane) expects the hardware/software needed to run it suddenly breaking apart exactly after 4/5 years (Well, that's it! We had our fun, but it expired!). A game can be only artificially killed/ taken away form the users by making it online only and denying access to it. So, if a company makes a game that they plan to kill later, there should be a clear information within marketing/informative materials for it or at least in the moment of purchase: "This game will expire after 4 years because we decided so. Have fun till you can!" And very few people would buy it!
  9. Be more mature about it? the companies that make online only contents should get mature. This is not an art gallery, but a market. And we are customers, customers have rights. We PAY a company for a product. Do you buy a book to have it taken away after 5 years? If you want to give it back, you go to a library and it's FREE. (I know a concept of a book may be foreign to some people, but that's how it works ) Games are art, but are also a product and if you pay for it, you have a right to have it and use it as long as you please. And if you can't use it as long as you please, than you have to get a compensation. Simple market law.
  10. Hehe, well. It's been hours now and I can't guarantee that I'll be tipsy every time I broadcast. But you're still welcome to watch Europe has been having weather anomalies for at least 10 years now, plus, my current room gets super -hot in the summer (and super cold during winters) : ]
  11. EDIT: I got somewhat tired (it's damn hot again) so now I'm just going on-line but without my voice comment. Thanks for everyone who watched and listened I'm on Twitch TV - AmazingMagda - GW2 and I'm talking while being kind of tipsy! This is still kind of a test run but you're welcome to watch me! Thank you!

    IRC?

I would show up once in a while... if there would be anyone to talk to.
  13. Congrats! At least, you look fancy...
  14. Save Rock and Roll: The Young Blood Chronicles Fall Out Boy I'm not a fan, really, but I love good melodies and great lyrics and it has it all! Plus, fantastic music videos as I like! Patrick doesn't sing so good live and he's a bit of a sissy But he's a good actor!
  15. Start saying that when people come to your house and burn all your clothes, take away your furniture, take apart your computer and steal all your food. Because you're not entitled to have it... Oh... and take away your phone and delete your music playlists from all the devices you have (that will get confiscated too)* I think your argumentation is really stupid... *It's been four years! I seriously suspect you want the current civilization to end and start an age of corpo-dystopian governing where people have no private property...
  16. With recent climate changes... the winter is less and less here. Last winter there was practically no snow and it got barely below freezing. And we have to remember about traditional anomalous European heatwave every summer Maybe even two, the summer is not over yet! But it depends to what average temperatures you're used to.
  17. "Nie mówię po polsku, czy mówi Pan na angielsku?" Widzę, że Ross nieźle opieprza się w nauce polskiego skoro zna tylko te dwa zwroty i nazwy warzyw Nie komentuj wrażliwego tematu.... Ross jest daleki od opieprzania się, to muszę poprawic, nawet jesli to miał być żart.
  18. I was shocked when I first got to know how slow and expensive internet in USA is on average. It seems logical that faster internet = development of business = development of the whole country... but I guess it's too much to bear for the internet providers, let's stall the whole country and oppress majority of the people instead
  19. To add to what RunninglVlan wrote, Ross actually answered also that his girlfriend is Polish. And I'm his girlfriend. Seriously. You know that got me thinking how difficult was it for him to get a visa to live there? Because i myself live in the US but i intend on moving to Brazil in the future. Wow! Brazil and Poland... I imagine these are verry different countries. I'm not sure if comparing can tell you anything. But I can tell you that USA citizens can spend up to 3 months in Poland without a stay permit or a visa. If you want to stay after that time you need a stay permit or a visa. I don't know much about visas. Stay permit takes lots of paper work and some talking to foreigners' office clerks and answering questions. Fun!
  20. To add to what RunninglVlan wrote, Ross actually answered also that his girlfriend is Polish. And I'm his girlfriend. Seriously.
  21. So handsome!
  22. I appreciate it! It was just against rules I think are the best for a good writing. As a writer, I can't be not-picky if I see something wrong... especially if it's about Ross's work... Fair enough I see your point coming from a writers Point of view aswell Magda, I know I tried to send Ross a Short Story to somewhat show him what my writing style is like so if he needed some help with something involving drama for The Movie he could ask me for the help (not like he will need it if you help him out) I know my writing style is more along the lines (when I started) of Dr Hunter S Thompson and Ken Kesey to name a few....now its more along the lines of Stephen Hunter and almost very close to The Master of Macabre: Michael Slade (which is a Canadian Author whom I enjoy reading alot due to it being a Father and Daughter writing the stories now, but the stories are all around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) but with more or less not as much detail as Slade but some of the stuff I am doing is very close to a Stephen Hunter Novel (if you dont know who he is, just watch the movie: Shooter, that film was based off of his novel: Point of Impact).....I know my writers Magda and can say whenever I get writers block I watch a film and see if that helps me get inspired, right now I am writing a short story that is almost along the lines of a Bond film/Novel with some elements of SAW if I can get that thrown into it near the end of it, not too sure if I will and I understand what you mean when it comes to Ross's work, and you do have a right to critique, I am not saying you dont....everyone has a reason to critique one thing if they dont like it, but at the end of the day you can judge the name but you cant judge the book by its cover, you can go ahead and read it but if you dont like it, then the author may have something else you enjoy, if not then you can say they arent for you. Well... that was a bit convoluted. As a writer, I remind you to use periods and paragraphs so the reader has easier read I guess I understand your point of view. I wish you good luck with your writing! I'd like to close my side of the discussion though, unless new titles show up or I'll come up with them.

  24. What about PULP ROSS? This offtopic is definietly going too far
