So, (a piece of )1st part of my original SF story. Enjoy and comment (only not too strictly ) I've created most of the characters and their world looooong before I ever played HL. You can only read this story here at the forum or at the websites linked to it The scientist remained quiet, just because he was not totally sure about the android's emotions lately… He kinda lurked behind the entrance to the main hall, as if helped anyhow to hide himself. He knew the android was aware of everyone around, in at least 30 meters radius, so… "That's nonsense!" He thought. It's my android! If I'm afraid, then what the rest of the people will do? Probably just freak out and run away screaming…" He took a sharp breath and rolled his eyes. And shook his arms. He started approaching Ronny as slowly as he could, without seeming too suspicious. The figure in front of him was still not moving, totally unnaturally, like it was a stone statue. Yeah, you could know that he was not a human. The scientist focused his eyesight, apparently his eyes tried running away from the creepy look. "I knew you will come here, Jonathan." Said Ronny in such a soothing voice, that Jonathan felt goose bumps on his back. The still man appeared not to be the owner of the voice. But the only human in this room knew it was just an illusion. Illusion that he worked on himself. "What are you up to this time, Ronny?" You had to be straight forward with them. Ronny understood metaphors but Jonathan felt like times is ticking away. "I? Doctor, I'm not up to anything… Except what I've carefully planned." Jonathan cleared his throat. Freakin logical games again… He sometimes regretted that he made the android too intelligent. Or just too… weird? "Give me a break, Ronny! Can you turn around?!" "Yeah, I know Jonathan, that the whole building is ready for evacuation… again." "Yeah, again… It's a miracle we still have permission to actually work in here." Said Jonathan with irritation and regret in his voice. He fixed his glasses and turned on one of the sensors mounted into them, but the display just got fuzzy and tuned off. "Dammit!" "Not many people can face the truth, doctor." Said Ronny pretty much, as if he was talking to himself this time. The scientist felt even stronger goose bumps and stepped back, just in case… (...) You'd be wrong. There are a couple people that are significantly older. Doom Shephard is in his 40s, and he still visits AF. Wow, so like ...5 people can be in their 40s Among thousands subscribed to this forum The age average is really interesting to resesearch here.......

I wanted to read the whole but honestly.... it was almost painful. As people said above, you should use "he" instead of the character's name all the time. Remember to use synonyms. Synonym dictionary should be one of your writing tools I write stories in English myself, although it's not my mother tongue, so I know how difficult it may sometimes be. But a lot depends on your imagination, story pace and writing talent. Myself, I write in the same way I'd write the story in my language. I just keep up with the English rules and word order (grammar tenses are still tricky ) I'd say, read the story again, fix all the repetitions. Check the pace. While reading it's usually easy to notice that some sentences are too long, don't make any sense or just cause a "discord" in the story's pace. I liked the descriptions and the story setting is interesting. Diaogue seems ok. I would have to read more of it to say more, but only if there won't be any repetitions

She totally creeped me out in a video on Youtube! Uncanny Valley in one of the best appearances... GEEZZ! I imagine this CP female voice either belongs to some non human AI form either organic or not, or to a woman that was redone and augumented to be a kind of semi automatic intelligent being. She has lots of tasks to organize and keep the eye on. I get impression that the Combine or wtf any aliens that stand behind this all, have kind of a hive mind or similar. So a mother is in command of male CP soldiers. Her voice is totally automatic and intonation of words inadequate very often. CPs have some human accents when they talk and they have doubts, some hesatation in their voices and curse but she doesn't. So I imagine she looks pretty ugly actually, if she was ever a human. But probably not. And you're very good Otto, in what you're doing with FM sound No wonder you've been fascinated with CP chatters. They are fascinating to me as well. I thing VALVe has done extremely good work on the sound, but it's so good we don't ever hear it. Military pseudonyms were kind of a mystery for me, and I can say that English language is much better for them than Polish...

Eargasm. I really miss the purely magical atmosphere of the first Harry Potter movies, the last one totally lost the taste. I couldn't feel these goose bumps of magic like with the very first movie. It ended up like a dissapointing sex.... At least I have music to listen to ;d

So some guys decide to pretend to be female to keep the numbers up hahah! Well, I'm an active female memeber of one particular reason which is obvious for some and for some totally not. Not many girls plays games though, not sure why... Myself, I don't have any girlfriends who are the same thilled by games as me. Or they are not interested at all One is a gamer, but she plays games as Farmville and all sorts of the 'rpg' online type :] I don't like these... The second thing is, you need to be artsy/crazy/ or have some storytelling talent, like writing/filming stories. I guess the thing I love to write SF, has a lot to do with liking games. And it's just one step to Machinima then....

What I meant is that having a feminine name does not mean you are a girl here. You wouldn't be the first princess I've seen here, but you are probably the first female one. Okay... It had never came to my mind that a man can have a female name on a forum... Until it actually happened. I don't see a reason to hide your sex ona forum. Unless you wanna hit on Ross or somethin I worte "sex" haha! In my language, sex and sex have different names...
