I think this fits here. A series of videos exploring stereotypes about women in video games. I know many men don't like (which is a mild expression) Anita Sarkeesian's documentaries, but she's been doing a good job on analysing women's thropes in all kinds of games, showing that what seems "just some plot twist" may have much deeper and often shocking meaning in our colture. This is part two of "Damsel in Distress", focusing on violence against women, so it's particularily interesting and shocking in the same time. Have you missed all the nightmare Ross had to go through so you can watch the episode, or most importantly, he can still make them and be able to get money for them. You behave like a prince, and with my nickname I know it's good to show hard working people at least minimum respect. It's not like you're the only person uin the world that watches these, even if you think so.... gah!

[regarding the article in the link] It almost leaves me speechless how greedy some companies become all the sudden. I think because there is no real law regulation on YouTube videos, they just try to squeeze as much money as possible from people who work for their popularity without being asked. I thought it's already a mutual benefit! "We already sell millions of games, f*ck our PR!" Just a bit of offtopic....

This is BAD idea. Spamming anyone with Ross's name in it is a BAD idea... :/ The tasks Ross is dealing with are pretty much sensitive, despite a "subtle" ways machinima has dealt with the contract issue. Don't stir the water more than it ALREADY is (It's a Polish saying but I think anyone gets the sense.) And machinima is too big and has very poor communication inside so stuff like that is usually not noticed by the right people anyways.

Ross has very nice voice when he sings I hope Freeman will have other occasions to make his own song again ;d

LOL, You can do with my rants whatever you want. The critical mass has been exceeded for me looong time ago. I have tons of things that I'm obsessed with but I never put here anything that's not related to VALVe at least. And that's respect and tolerance. Respecting other's eyesight.

Quite opposite. As a person who directly sees how the things are going with Ross I feel it's importan to explain some things to people who are unaware how much work, sweat and well... just lots of hard and often frustrating work it takes to make these videos (while FM is the easiest one from technical point of view). Like everybody I can get too emotional and it's impossible to keep quiet in some moments. But yeah, some discussions are not worth it. I guess I'm too loyal and to eager sometimes Well, I'm a huge fan of Freeman's Mind as well.

Hey... You didn't have to deal with evil contracts and frustrating and incompetent (and dumb) Machinima workers for 4 months.... So chillout. Your situation is much more comfortable than Ross had to deal with. No bullshit... You don't get it, do you? These kinds of things that Ross and other people make is where most of my happiness and entertainment come from. I can't wait much longer. Of course I get it. I'm his girlfriend.

You can't say that men/women ratio here is at lest 70/30. I think women are still minority on forums like this. It's easy to see on YouTube Freeman's Mind stats . There is NO stat that would show women as a meaningful group that watches the show. It's all men aged 13 to 34. So I guess it's maybe 10 - 15% of females here. These are not stereotypes. I guess women just don't know or just don't like shows like that. I like video games and I still think I'm weird. I have no girlfriends who would play games like me. One plays games on Facebook a lot That's all... These are facts... Thank you for tolerating this offtopis while wating for next FM episode going up........

I've seen some Nostalgia Critic even before Freeman's Mind but never got into it very much. But I like to watch it from tme to time. It may be weird but I find his videos resolution and a white background a bit tiring for my eyes. Otherwise I'd watch NC more often...

What he hell are you talking about? Live in the middle eastern 3rd world countries long enough and goverment censorship on women volleyball teams stop being funny after the 2nd time. That's a pity! Have you read Ross's previous post where he explains in great detail how it all went down with Machinima and YouTube together? Infrequent updates have influenced maybe 5% of the wiev drops... And I'm affraid you're delusional about how easy it is to get popular on the Internet/YouTube and still get enough money at least to pay your bills. It doesn't work that way anymore.

I'm frequently having dreams about meeting and knowing famous people. By now I'm pretty good friends with pretty many of them: Keanu Reeves, Kevin Spacey, cast of Northern Exposure show, Eminem (! but he was kind of not that super-friendly), prince William (the one from British Royal Family!), Trent Reznor and his wife, Rob Zombie and his wife... (and some more but I keep some for myself!) so yeah, most of them are cool, chilled out people ^^
