  1. Any good fast paced console game allows you to turn up the sensitivity of your analog sticks. And then it becomes too fast to accurately aim... Mouse doesn't have that issue. Too fast for YOU to accurately aim. Seriously, it seems like you've tried a console controller for five minutes and written it off as unusable. Getting good with an analog stick takes time, but it certainly can be done. I managed to beat Uncharted 2 on crushing by using maximized sensitivity. It becomes second nature, just like a mouse does.
  2. TF2... I've been working on an animated short film, and while I render, I play TF2. I've been getting extremely addicted.
  3. Sometimes I get the feeling PC only gamers forget there are games other than first person shooters. Imagine playing a game like God of War with a mouse and keyboard. I can't even imagine what you would bind to what, and how you would handle basic things like moving and dodging without two joysticks. Really, the best control scheme I can think of would be a keyboard with an intergrated joystick to replace WASD, and a mouse with another joystick attached.
  4. There's much talk that the Widowmaker is underpowered. After playing with it a while, I'd have to agree. Even with full metal, you can only get THREE shots without hitting before you're out. I was thinking the not having to reload bonus would be awesome, but when you can only get out three to four shots ANYWAY, it doesn't add much. If anything, it limits how much you can upgrade your buildings, cause you want to keep enough metal with you to defend yourself. Really it's a weakness that calls for a patch.
  5. Analog, not 'analogue'. I do suck at anything except flight sims. Spelling corrected
  6. That's pretty sad. Not to me it isn't. I like being able to control my character with something other than a joystick that moves too slowly to do anything even resembling 'fast paced'. The fact that you suck at using an analogue stick doesn't mean analogue sticks suck.
  7. That's pretty sad.
  8. MGS4 was straight up amazing on gameplay. I think people forget that. Go into MGS4 and just try and get strategic about it, it's extremely deep gameplay. There are a crapload of different weapons, with attachable silencers, flashlights, laser sights... There are just so many different ways to go about completing each level. I remember I managed to beat Crying Wolf on Big Boss hard, using only a sniper rifle and patience.
  9. There are two kinds of violence in games. Violence that's important to the story, and violence that's there for the fun of it. I'm fine with both.
  10. Machina, with an A. You know, like Deus Ex Machina?
  11. You need to work on your Kubrick knowledge. Either that or become a communist and start sapping American's precious bodily fluids.
  12. You must be one of those deviated preverts.
  13. Definitely looking forward to this one. Arkham Asylum was great.
  14. Wow, Righteous Bison AND Sydney Sleeper. You must have really wanted it. I crafted the Widowmaker, for Engineer Only took reclaimed and L'Etranger, which I never use anyway.
  15. But you cant make like 10 more games based on story. Everybody thinks that this is the last part of the story. Well, this would be the third complete installment in the series, not the tenth. And who is everybody? I've never heard rumor or speculation that HL3 will be the last game. It's probably just cause it's taking a while to make, everyone gets the (probably incorrect) feeling that it's some big finale.
  16. I'd guess it's not the final Half Life installment, whatever it is. Valve knows they have a series that many people love and hasn't worn out it's welcome. I doubt they'd just end it for no reason.
  17. You can't sell a download sadly. And I never played it on anything higher than "Easy". I find it annoying that "Easy" was extremely challenging, and not in a good way. As for annoying characters, are you actually implying that Cole and his fat friend DIDN'T annoy you? And on the main character's voice acting, it was absolutely laughable. It's like they were making a parody of bad action games. "Hi I'm Cooooole.... I'm an action game character... gravely voice..."
  18. Do you want me to talk about the extremely repetitive gameplay? The enemies that feel about 10x more powerful than the player? The moral choice system that simply punishes you for being good? The horrendous voice acting? The absolutely annoying main characters? The ridiculous difficulty? The way every time you try to just explore, you get shot to death by enemies? The way Cole's "superpowers" feel overpowered by 5 guys with Uzi's? I could go on. I hated this game. All I see in it now are 30 dollars which I'll never get back.
  19. I played around 6 hours of Infamous. The only thing I can think of that was done sort of well were the acrobatics. And even with those, the climbing mechanics were pretty annoying.
  20. Infamous had no redeeming qualities. It was a pile of abysmal game design that should have been forgotten forever.
  21. Infamous 1 sucked so much, I really don't know about 2. No reviews say that much has changed. If anything they say it's "even better!".
  22. Who's to say that HL3 won't bring along it's own radical new features?
  23. Love the work of Edward Munch. Here's a lesser known self portrait of his that I really like: I read a book about the 1993 theft of the scream that was really good. It told stories about lots of art theft, with the main subject being a Scotland Yard "art detective" that helped recover the painting from the trunk of a car. http://www.amazon.com/Rescue-Artist-Thieves-Missing-Masterpiece/dp/0060531185/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313632668&sr=8-1
  24. Rage against the Machine - Bulls on Parade
  25. It's somehow addictive, believe me. It's really just a status symbol, and everyone that has one knows that. We all just really want to get to that highest rank so everyone will go "Wow, look at that guy, he's hardcore...". Basic psychology.
