I bought a few keys with spare change after getting some games. I opened two crates to find... 2 Strange Boston Bashers

Anyone recognize where my new avatar is from? I'd hope most everyone would, considering.

Strange weapons rank up with kills, changing the descriptive word. As many have pointed out, it's functionally useless, but it's certainly addictive ranking up a weapon.

You're missing out on a bunch of other awesome minds.

I love it when films do things the old fashioned way, with miniatures and stuff, but CGI is an ever advancing field. You say using CGI takes away realism, but this is only when it is done badly. CGI relies on the artistry of the people involved, as well as the newest advanced techniques. I've definitely noticed some prejudice for CGI before. People seem to think of it as being the easy way out. Budget wise, this is true, but a CG artist takes decades of experience and tons of talent to do something like the sculpting/texturing in Avatar, for example.

Never played a Rayman game. Were they originally 2D sidescrollers?

The other day, I saw the most awesome huntsman shot ever. Well, I didn't see the shot, but I saw a demoman hanging by his arm from the side of a bridge, over a huge drop. How it managed to occur is a mystery. I forgot the hotkey for screenshots and missed it though

Yes, my rigging and animation skills leave a lot to be desired. Most of my experience is in creating pretty still images. I also made this one a pretty tight deadline, so I didn't have all the time in the world to create an excellent rig. Here's what my animating looks like when I have time to polish it and I'm using a decent rig. d1OjzYVz6zs

aMJT93F6ecM Great song from the Mirror's Edge soundtrack.

Ritz Crackers with peanut butter. I was pretty full after eating a lot of them so I gave the last one to my dog Dexter.

Speaking of animation, I just posted the first part of my animated short film. Y290ag6vtsY

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind It was really pretty great. I'd say 9/10

Been waiting for that DLC for so long. I hope it's more challenging than the single player and co-op puzzles we have now, cause those weren't exactly taxing mentally.

It's a great game. OP: I'm actually on a team of people currently remaking Riven in realtime 3D. 38nQ1hM-RyY All of the modeling here for Prison Island is mine.

First game I remember playing was Myst. Maybe 4 at the time.

Heh, well the ESRB rating says M 17+. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt I guess. Actually, now that I try, it looks like I can't access any mature game's page. EDIT: Restarting Steam has fixed it.

I went to the Borderlands page, but when I entered my age, it apparently thinks 17 is too young.

@Kaweebo Wait, is your avatar Ulala from Space Channel 5?!

The only "Hats" I have are misc items. I have a Genuine Pipboy for Engi and a Lord C***swain Muttonchops for Soldier. Well, those and some promo hats and Ghastly Gibbus.

None of the games in my list were on anything but PS2. From what you say, it sounds like you've ignored the major PS2 platformer series'. (Ratchet, Jak, Sly) if you can't name any yourself. Crash Bandicoot was ended by Naughty Dog, who then made the great Jak and Daxter series. Spyro was dropped by Insomniac, who then made the Ratchet series, all PS2 exclusive. On GTA, I never played it myself, so it certainly wasn't the reason I bought a PS2.

My random drops are almost always weapons I already have. This week I got 1 good new weapon, a Machina, 7 duplicates, and a crate. I just wish it would give me something at least a little interesting, like a hat or paint or some such.
