When it went free I just thought to myself: "Well thanks for making me spend money on it then." Then again I bought the orange box so it wasn't a big deal, I mostly got it for Half-Life and the episodes and Portal. But TF2 never appealed to me and probably never will.

Why you would convert it to 48 kHz is beyond me. Most music these days is mastered at 48k or higher but usually released at 44,1 kHz...

I've never had those problems. The only problem I have is that they are either up in my face when I want them to move out of the way, or when I need them to carry my stuff they're somewhere jerking off.

Hate is such a strong word to me. There are games I lose interest in over time, sure, but I don't hate them, I wouldn't mind picking them up again now and then...

I think the pre-alpha footage looks promising enough. Given it's pre-alpha there's probably a lot they plan to improve on during development.
