I'm into racing games and first person shooters for the most part. I also love old DOS games that I grew up with, such as Duke Nukem and Black Thorne etc... I'm not into rpg's that much, though I love the Fallout series. Overall I have a very broad taste, but I tend to dislike games that have an overly "realistic" feel to them. I'm not much of a simulation-type of gamer to put it that way.

I absolutely adore Tim Schafer's games and his style. And almost always his games become cult classics. Just look at Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle or his masterpiece Grim Fandango.

Who cares, really? What matters is that you can use it for whatever you need. If you can post on this forum and watch internet videos on it, then I'd say it's pretty much all you need. I'm the polar opposite of that! Hehe.

The fact that source machinima is so "easy" to make is great of course, but it also produces A LOT of VERY bad source videos that make no sense and just aren't funny. That kind of turns me off. I agree. But looking at Civil Protection... I don't think it would be as funny in any other engine or setting.

I like having tons of icons on my desktop.

I think snakker means speaking xD I was only a few years old when i moved from norway to germany and after a few years again i moved to the netherlands. I had to learn norwegian first, then german and then dutch. So i totally forgot how to speak the norwegian language, though i do recognize a word here and there. That's a bit sad but understandable. And yes, you're right about "snakker".

Yus! Orbital is a great group, and that song's really relaxing, helps me zone out and forget the world Same here. I found out about them when I saw the movie Hackers and thought "hey, this track is really awesome". In general my taste ranges between these genres: * Synthpop/Futurepop (Depeche Mode, Mind.In.A.Box, Syrian) * Trance (Tiësto, Underworld, Orbital, Darude) * Techno (Scooter, Kraftwerk, The Prodigy) * Industrial/EBM (Ministry, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Funker Vogt) * Progressive Rock (Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd, Planet P Project, Genesis) * Alternative Rock (Apoptygma Berzerk, The Cure, Motorpsycho, Nirvana, Foo Fighters) * Chillout (Röyksopp, Enya, Tangerine Dream) * Metal (Rammstein, Pain, Metallica, Dimmu Borgir) * Classical/symphonic (a bit of everything but I love Strauss and Vivaldi) * Various electronic music (Paul Hardcastle for instance) I tend to stay away from mainstream music and hiphop/rap, but I basically listen to anything that has a good melody and good lyrics, or whatever I'm in the mood for. But yeah, I'm very much into synthesizer-based music.

I've seen a few Quake machinimas (the early stuff), but I have to be honest that the Source machinima I've seen is the best.

The Intergalatic House of Pancakes line is my all time favourite.

Regarding WWII games, the newest Wolfenstein was kinda fun.

I've played CoD 4 with my brother and his friend on PS3. Great action fun, nothing bad about it. But in general games based on reality or real wars aren't really my taste so I never really got into the CoD games.

There's a theory they mixed up the names of Greenland and Iceland.

Dark and ambient. Very reminiscent of the music in Quake, I'd say. The theme song was very rock'ish though.

Then how do you know you're from it if nobody knows it? That would include yourself, wouldn't it? Just kidding, I've heard about it. Had some neighbours from your country once actually.

Not to my taste, but they are okay action games with a very nice style about them.
