One thing I liked about the Mass Effect games was how choices you made in one game affected some things in the sequels. Made all the games feel like one larger story.

Same here except I've realized that I'm a complete jackass in most cases. I have a history of coming across as insensitive, cold and I've made women cry on a couple occasions even though I'm very polite. People seem to think it's fake because there isn't any heart behind it after they get to know me for a bit. I mean politeness and courtesy is just a gesture a good will right? I don't know you well enough to make any kind of judgement of you. I just know you are polite, stand by your opinions and while I'm sure you can be a jackass, you don't come off as an asshole at least.

How is that btw? I was debating about getting that or Pillars of Eternity. At the time Pillars of Eternity came on sale first so I got that instead. It's really good imo. Turnbased combat though, so not sure how much you'd like it. ^^'

Honestly I think the only questionable interest of yours is MLP. Considering more adult guys are into MLP than girls, it doesn't surprise me.

There was also a huge ass backlash with Payday 2 when they inserted microtransactions. Hell, many of the things done to the game, directly and indirectly, caused a huge backlash. Sure they're recovering, but the wounds are still there. Understandable, Payday 2 is a multiplayer game so microtransactions inadvertently affects everyone else.

Either people are atheists, agnostic or just not that blatant about their religion. Personally I belong to the latter camp. I just don't talk about religion unless someone shows interest in talking about it because I don't feel it's my place to force people to talk about it, or force my views on them. I always assume people have made up their mind one way or the other.
