  1. To love God is to exercise his Will. You make praises to him for giving you life and a soul, yet if you do not treat others with love and forgiveness then no amount of praise to God will undo that. The point of prayer is to enlighten you to be a good person. Rejecting Gods love is basically defiling his will and creation, (doing things in excess, abusing, killing... etc). As for surpassing God well... we haven't been able to create life yet, only manipulate it, even then we're only figuring out a few of the many biological systems around us. Or turn energy into matter, so we still have a loong way to go to surpass what he has done This is keeping in mind that he created the universe and everything we have on this planet, then programmed it to be self sustaining and adaptive.
  2. That is awesome, if only everyone had that kind of attitude towards it. As for me I have had some bad experiences with a lesbian teacher who would tell us that straight couples abuse there kids and gay couples doesn't since they "actually" want to have kids. So for a while I figured every lesbian has short hair and always keeps a baseball bat in there car just in case they get really mad. As long as gays don't make a scene about it and try to bring it up for no reason. Your sexual preference shouldn't define you as a person, just be yourself As for religious (orthodox) views, they don't allow homosexual couples to be married under church, but I don't think it is bad if they are together and actually love each other. Finally I am curious about bisexuality, not trying to be derogatory, but I knew a bunch of girls who claimed to be bisexual but it really looked like they were just doing it to get attention. Never really thought that someone can go both ways, for some reason the concept is still somewhat difficult to grasp, I don't know why :S Again I don't want to insult, it's just my personal opinion.
  3. Its a conspiracy to keep everyone confused and to miss birthdays!
  4. Umm.... going back to the rape thing... I guess if for some reason you do decided to keep the rape child, how will your treatment towards it be? Or if you have had other kids as well, (perhaps married) knowing that you had those because you wanted to and this one wasn't even your mistake. This was force on to you, and whether or not you keep it should be based on the amount minimal amount of suffering caused to the woman in question.
  5. I remember I played this when I was younger, it was a fun story. The death screens used to scare the crap out of me sometimes especially you getting eaten by ogres! So I had another reason to try not to die. And it had a lot of hopping around lava pits as well. Good times
  6. No one will be spared! And we will know who they are because of the tired expressions and some is bound to pull/injure something! In hindsight maybe screwing like it was going to be the last thing you did wasn't the greatest idea... and maybe, just maybe, you should have used a condom. Or hope she was on the pill...
  7. There would be nothing to say.. I mean lets say we have a bunch of earthquakes, floods, asteroids, and violent storms all at the same time on a global scale. I would be in awe at the fact that they are all happening at the same time and just spontaneously with no warning. The likelihood of just one of those things happening without some sort of foreshadowing is improbable, and all of them at same time... well lets just say don't keep your hopes up for this one. But hey on the lighter side of thing, I'm sure a lot of people who are into this 12/21/12 stuff well I'm sure you can use it as a great excuse to screw. "Well since the world is going to end tomorrow, we might as well go at it!" These people will wake up with an unexpected surprise in the morning
  8. well usually it is written going from the smallest to the largest time increment. day/month/year. Buuut sometimes some peeps like to write things like march 12, 2011, so that's month/day/year. I think its just to keep everyone confused while someone collects the gold. Its a conspiracy! but shh... don't tell anyone! now if the world does just quit and fall apart, I would be very impressed (especially if it happened really fast) considering it has endured so much. (comets, ice ages, jersey shore... etc..)
  9. HAHA! Exactly!
  10. Haha well... In any case I just wanna know how bad can it be? Its not like it will be like a computer crash or someone snaps there fingers and poof! the world is gone. If it is, your not going to know, you'll be dead. Unfortunately going to my little darkside; I think it would be very amusing to watch people run around in circles, arms flailing and panicking. Even if I'm in the middle of it all. What can you do? point and laugh that's what!
  11. Ehh... if the world does end, it will give me a great excuse not to write my exams
  12. In my belief I feel that everyone has a soul but I can't say when they get it, since when you die you either go to Heaven if you are good, or Hell if you have sinned. Yet an unborn child has done neither, and same with babies who have died right after birth. Its one of those mysteries that only God knows the answer to, so best treat the situation seriously and make a decision whether or not to bring a life into this world.
  13. I agree, that this is not a topic about weather or not God is real, and it would be pointless to talk about. But looking at this from a religious perspective is also an important ethical perspective since many people can base there decisions around that killing an unborn child is still killing a human baby, which does have a soul and is usually against most religious (more familiar with Christian) practices. Then there is an entire debate within this view of when someone actually obtains a soul.
  14. wow... so far I am really impressed that we can bring religion into the argument and not have it turn out to be a pointless/endless debate about weather or not God exists. Picking pro-choice and not bringing religion into the mix of killing a human because they have a soul, can be very tricky. In theory going pro-choice seems logical, since it will leave the ultimate decision to the woman. But the down side to that is there can be so many factors affecting your state of mind that you will not be able to make a clear headed decision and abort out of fear, then regretting it for the rest of your life. This is what I am hoping will not happen.
  15. I'm sorry but I must disagree with this statement, you can't have brainwave activity unless there is some kind of developing brain to speak of, in humans it happens in the 12th week I believe. Sorry and during early development a human fetus looks similar to a chicken one and a few other animals as well. As for my opinion, I would like to say I am pro-life, (in developed countries) especially in the case of your average teen that figured they knew what they where doing, and decided to not use contraception. What I would not like to see happening is desensitization, where we get something like "free haircut with every abortion!" I know this sounds a little extreme but there were some extreme cases, for example: where a lady decided to get an abortion so being pregnant wouldn't ruin her vacation. Or because she doesn't feel like the guy she got knocked up by is up to her standards. So hey, free haircut as well! However, what if your partners unborn child has a problem? Or if it was forced onto you? Here is where ultimately it is pro-choice and the choice should be based on if you can provide the support, and have the emotional strength necessary to do so. Same thing in developing countries. Access to education and contraceptives can be limited. Not to mention you can barely survive yourself, let alone have another life to take care of. Ironically we live in a world where majority of people that don't really need abortions have access to the safe ones, and the people that do need them either don't have access or it is very unsafe.
