    WWII Games

The '09 version? I liked that, in a campy sort of way. Not the greatest game, but good for some fun, especially with the cheats after beating it. The multiplayer was the absolute worst I've ever seen though, worse than Bioshock 2 by far.

    WWII Games

I really wish CoD games after 1 had kept the fire select switch for the weapons.
  3. Myself and another of my friends are the only ones who enjoy Gears of War multiplayer, I guess the high learning curve and Gears' own special "balance" (read shotgun= god, forget everything you learned in campaign) turned them off of it.
  4. I prefer more "arcade" style racing games, like Burnout or Need for Speed. I'm never been very good at "simulation" ones like Forza or Gran Tourismo. All I do when I try to modify cars in those games is make it worse, lol. I really liked the version of Wipeout on the PSP. EDIT: I also had a great time with a gameboy version of Pole Position years ago, I miss having a handheld
  5. This being D-Day for Operation Overlord, I'd thought I'd replay the Pointe Du Hoc level of Call of Duty 2 and other WWII related games today. Anyone else got similar plans? Got any favorite WWII games?
  6. This reminds me that I would really enjoy a DoomGuy's Mind. The comic already provides the perfect personality, just do the whole trilogy like that!
  7. How Did you know about those? Not like it's secretly funding a vast enterprise with the goal of total conquest of human criminalization because that would be insane. Note to self: send Sniper-Fairy to eliminate target...
  8. Post semi-random obscure facts of interest to you. Did you know...that, according to the US Supreme Court, a tomato is a vegtable for legal purposes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nix_v._Hedden
  9. No Cover. All Man. That's what Duke should play like, but I had to use cover in the demo
  10. I'm glad for the return to the '06 style, those are my favorite episodes, and I really wanna see what he will do with E.T.
  11. what've you got against Gearbox?
  12. It's tough, but i'd probably go with Big O. Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop, and Rurouni Kenshin are some of my other favorites.
  13. I just bought that the other day, loving it.
  14. Zelda smoke, don't breathe this
  15. OK, let me first say that I LOVED the demo, even if it was nothing new. Actually playing this game was an amazing experience. The only faults I'd say were the load times were a bit long, Duke didn't seem to have enough "health" (we all know his ego is WAY bigger than that tiny bar) and that the gunship fight seemed a bit too hard on Come Get Some, with almost no cover and the RPG only holding 5 rounds. I wished it continued through the opening scene instead of jumping to the desert level too. Only holding 2 guns isn't as fun as having the whole arsenal, but I can understand it. The quotes, both new and old were a blast. "A crowbar would come in handy right now" being my favorite. Did you check the control schemes? there's default, Freeman (the Half Life scheme), MC (the Halo 3 scheme), and Duty Calls (the CoD scheme) which are all great shout-outs. I also wished Duke would use his hands to push the carts instead of walking. EDIT: where'd you find holoduke? and one more thing, I'm sad that you hit them with the gun instead of using the Might Boot
  16. how is the weather where you live right now? Today (or rather yesterday and what I've experienced of today considering that this post is in the wee hours of the morn) was sunny and HOT, averaging around 105 degrees F, typical June for us here.
  17. What games did you take a gamble on and discover that you'd found a personal favorite?
  18. Somehow, I feel this needs to be stickied in the FM section.
  19. I am pretty sure they are talking about the random qoutes from freemans mind that you would see when you either gave someone rep or took it away. I still get those... I took a point from bullseye to test this and got: Taken reputation from the user! This has cost you one point. You have 7 points remaining. no quotes, how are you still getting them?
  20. Gamestop has been pulling that same shit for years around here, on top of giving like $25 max in cash for a game trade-in, with the rest in "store credit" that I can't use anywhere else.
  21. Among the others suggested previously, I would pay for one with "I am the Bruce Lee of Physics" on it or maybe "Network error 482. Somebody shot the server with a 12 Gauge, please contact your Network Administrator."
  22. Deutschland, me? Nope, born and raised in Louisiana.
  23. I just downloaded Metro 2033 off of Games on Demand since I couldn't get it at retail here, I haven't downloaded many games, but I do enjoy the convenience of not having to insert a disk. I generally prefer the safety and ability to marvel at a physical object among my library that a disk offers, but I will download a game when necessary or expedient. What do you prefer, a retail disk copy, or a downloaded digitally distributed copy of a game?
