Do you like Half-Life's Gameplay, or Story (2)
Psychotic Ninja replied to Bob Builder's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
To be Fair, Marc Laidlaw did state the following game was also going to end in a cliffhanger. Sounds to me he never saw a proper ending, and always left the series open for us to figure out. -

Watching Youtube videos.

Huh, it's almost like Endgame was the end of a huge ass story arc or something, and had no need to setup the next arc (which Far From Home does).

Look, there's been constant miscountings. Many corrections, many incorrect corrections. My golden rule is if there's been a recent miscount, fix it. Recent being on the page, or page prior. Otherwise, let the miscounting continue. This isn't a serious game. That said, I'm going to continue this dumb fun game, with it's "miscount". Oh, and it's 3002 replies, not posts. 3003 - Earth is moved further from the sun to combat global warming, making the year one week longer– President Richard Nixon declares it Robot Party Week; Professor Farnsworth is presented with the Polluting Medal of Pollution.

Tried Darksouls 1 and Bloodborne. Not a fan of the stamina meter. I'm also not big on "difficult" games/games with a learning curve. That said, I also really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2 (Final Mix) and 3 Critical Mode. The story might not be your thing, but KH2 and 3's Critical mode is very fair (unlike the other titles), and if you want added difficulty, you can try Level 1 Critical Mode. The only real downside is you have to beat KH2 once, to unlock it's Critical Mode. Not sure about KH3, seeing as it was added in later (for free). Now, if there was a Souls like game, without a stamina meter, I might look into it.

Now think real hard. You been bird-dogging this township a while now. They wouldn't mind a corpse of you. Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet: I will end you.

Thank you Captain Useless Trivia. As for Avernum, looks interesting, but I'm not a fan of isometric games, especially RPGs. I know my brother was big on Diablo and Baldur's Gate, so something like this might be up his alley.

Yeah, the customization in Fallout 4 is really amazing. I can't wait to see what they'll do with TES VI, but at the same time, I'm not liking the direction Bethesda is heading, and I fear for their future games. As for games that I like, and others don't, well, I really do enjoy Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Although, I wouldn't say people hate it. At best, it's a mixed bag.

More or less. It's not exactly black and white. I still enjoy TES, and Witcher 3 (although I was kinda getting tired of it towards the end, and kinda rushed through the story), I just kinda lean more towards JRPG's. Which is kinda funny, cause Final Fantasy XV acts more like a Western RPG than a JRPG. And yeah, I do consider something "Go to this location and bring back this important item" a Fetch Quest.

She can really pull it off.

They really shouldn't be though. Especially now that they can literally gamble in a casino that isn't regulated at all. Not to mention those with actual gambling addictions who play video games to get away from gambling.
-
Yeah, lootboxes, I know. However, this is an actual casino. Something that would make this game Adult's Only.

When it comes to RPGs, I prefer story driven ones like the Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts series, and Digimon Cyber Sleuth, over quest driven ones like Witcher 3, TES series, and Fallout series. Nothing wrong with the quest driven ones, it's just the quests start to feel very samey, with most of them being fetch quests.

World Of Final Fantasy I really should play more of Super Mario Maker 2...
