  1. Stress, you can vent it out later. Pay 2 Win Free To Play Games, or Paid games with Microtransactions?

  10. 2686 - Turns out the riots actually did happen, and the whole 'it was staged' was a failed attempt of a government cover-up.
  11. 6/10, tis getting old.
  12. Brutal Legend + Final Fantasy 5 = Final Legend 5 Fifth game in the 'Final Legend' series. There's 14 in all (in the main series), two of them being MMO's, but they're all stand -alone titles (unless you count the sequels/prequels/spin-offs that some of them have.), so no need to play them all to catch up. However, there's a very compelling theory that they're all actually connected, and take place in the same planet, or at the very least the same galaxy.

  15. Except that Overwatch (from what I can tell) isn't actually shit, that relies on one gimmick to hold the whole game together. Speaking of which: Undertale. In short: Toxic fanbase, it comes off as overly preachy (IMO) on a topic that I'm on the opposing side of, and as a game that, to be taken as A) A game and B) A RPG, it falls, hard. Long version: The toxic community. Now, A) Every fanbase/community is shit, and has its toxic members. B) Not everyone is toxic. C) The toxic ones are the loudest. That out of the way With all the toxic communities I've seen, Undertale's the worse. This game is less of a game, and more of an experience (like Stanley Parable). One that is only experienced if you go pure blind and not take the passive route. Bonus points if you go the (pure) genocide route. With how the internet works, with how, the gaming community works, this is basically impossible now. Take DarkSydePhil (DSP) for example (hate him, or haven't encountered him yet, doesn't matter) actually managed to play the game blind, like pure, pure blind. People facepalmed at the expected things (like not knowing how to do X even though the game just told him how) and raging at similar things. Then the Undertale fanbase started raging at him for not going the (pure) passive route. Are you fucking kidding me?! His gaming skills aside, he's playing this like anyone else would, how it should be played (on your first play through). How's that you ask (or didn't)? Simple, like an RPG. Doing things like getting the new equipment, talking to NPCs, finding treasure, fighting every enemy you encounter, etc. Hell, he was yelled at for eating a certain healing item when he was low on health. Again, something you would do in your typical game/RPG. Also, compared to your typical RPG, the combat system is really, really simple. Now, I can't say the same as the bullet-hell sections, seeing as I'm not a fan of those games, and I don't know any good comparisons. Also compared to your average (puzzle) game, the puzzles are extremely simple, so simple some of them are solved for you. As a means to "develop characters". You don't develop characters by having them solve puzzles for you. I'm going to stop here before I turn this into a vent post.
  16. Watch_Dogs. I swear the only reason people hate it is because Ubisoft "lied" about the graphics back at E3, similarly how people were "lied" to with Dead Island. That and that it was capped at 30FPS. Here's the thing, trailers (especially at E3) are supposed to wow you, to impress you, they don't necessary have to show you what exactly what the game's going to look like. Also, 30FPS is smooth enough, hell, some games should only be at 30FPS. 60FPS is like 1080P, it's really nice to have, great to look at, but it's spoiled the average gamer. Also, as I mentioned it earlier, I also enjoy Dead Island. Yeah, there are things I don't like about the game, but overall I enjoy it. The biggest complaint I hear is that the trailer lied. How?! It showed us zombies (check), it showed us that we were at a hotel/vacation/Hawaii like place (check). It was in reverse (uncheck). So, sorry you didn't get to play the game from the end, and went to the beginning? Sorry you didn't play as the little girl, or her family?
  17. I love moments like that in [insert multiplayer game here]. Sadly, getting to game with friends online now is next to impossible. OT: Final Fantasy 5. I'm at end game, dunno what I'm going to play next. I would play Mirror's Edge Catalyst, but it's at 51%! gah! I'm going to be 24 before I can play it. Anyhow, I still have a game of FF3, 10, and 10-2 going, or maybe 6.
