Waiting for Shelf Life to load in 720p on a 1meg connection War of the servers, Freeman's Mind, Barney's Mind, and Red vs Blue have to be my favourites so far. Also, you should change the title of this topic to "Your favorite machinima" because "You're" means "you are". Sorry for the grammar lesson

Uhm, why would robots need vaginas...? Mummy, what's a vagina? I like tisnman's idea

That doesn't work for me. I have adblockplus but it only works every now and then. The lists you should subscribe to are EasyList and Fanboy's List. That should hopefully get rid of most adverts
-
If you don't like advertisements, I can suggest AdBlockPlus, compatible with both Mozilla's Firefox, and Google's Chrome browsers. It even takes those pesky ads out of YouTube videos.

What about breadcrumbs at the bottom of each page? EDIT1: You should probably also deal with those spam registrations. Change the CAPTCHA to Q&A and add a few non-specific questions. But make sure the answers aren't google-able, as most bots can use Google nowadays. EDIT2: What about making links open in a new tab?

I think the commenting system is meant to be disabled, and instead you click "Go to forums" and comment here. +rep for you sir

We need a leaderboard for the most negative rep

The mods here are better than most.

Escape character apparently isn't needed there, or there's an extra one, or an extra three (escaping the escape character )
-
There's also the good old (!) after a sentence. That's used in tv subtitles to show sarcasm.

What!? I hate it when forums squash everything in to the middle of my screen, I love the fact that the forum scales for the size of my monitor! *plugs laptop into 72inch tv*

There's no risk with the BBCode I suggested, it uses the {IDENTIFIER} tag, which doesn't allow special characters If there's ever a risk, phpBB will tell you
-
Nobody can beat Ross Scott. Ross is God. Though I think that includes all the posts ported over from Wordpress But don't say I said anything

A list of members arranged by number of posts

To expand on that post, here's the Custom BBcode needed: BBCode: [align={IDENTIFIER}]{TEXT}[/align] HTML: <div style="text-align: {IDENTIFIER};">{TEXT}</div> Helpline: [align=left/center/right/justify]Your Text Here[/align] EDIT: Another mod I recommend: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/reimg_image_resizer/ That will stop the forum becoming stretched when someone posts a large image.

*adds to stupid non-existent list* I'll do it later when I'm actually at home. Fun fact: reputation messages are already coded just not visible, so when you look in your profile for reputation received when I activate it, you will see a bunch of blank reputation received (if you have any)! rep.php?do=top5 Lol On that top rep page, I'd use colons instead of dash/minus signs Cheers

No prob Can an admin tell me which version of the search indexer backend is being used? Native or SQL? I'm guessing it's native, as the search is telling me that pretty much all words are too common to search To fix that the Common word threshold should be reduced to like 1% (or turned off by typing 0), and the index recreated. Or change to the sql indexing method, a much better option. Quick link to search settings Remember to recreate the index for either method

Surely that would be General News Yeah but that's for Ross Scott to post info in. I mean a News News section Here's the topic for suggesting new sections: http://www.accursedfarms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=625

White = visited links, Orange = non-visited links

I think that instead of sending you to a page it should change the text where you give rep, or show a javascript popup: http://www.softcomplex.com/products/tigra_hints/ Should be easy enough to implement.

No idea what's going on there, but here's a direct link: http://www.accursedfarms.com/forums/view_forum.php?f=18

I wrote a php script to convert the users over. Same with the post and comments. Also, it might be due to my mobile broadband but that script wont load. (AutoMod error - file not found :s) Would you help a fellow freelancer out and send that script my way? And what do you mean won't load? How far did you get? Were you able to download the zip file from phpBB.com? I think phpbb.com are having some problems with rewriting URLs, in Firefox that link tries to open an 'application/octet-stream', works in IE though. If downloading is the problem here's a link on my own webspace: http://www.fedge.me.uk/postsperpage.zip md5: 5e8ee44efea358a36e87d75d857fbed1 But if it's at the install stage you're getting an error, remember that you need to edit the twilightBB style package, instead of prosilver/subsilver2. I always forget that. Cheers, Luke
