I'd only watch if Freeman narrates it. Is that Gordon Freeman or Morgan Freeman? Because really, both would work....

I think the fact that you consider this a problem might say something about you. I consider it a problem because in earlier titles, you could kill children, but it earned you the worst karma ever and EVERYONE in the game ended up hating you. Being a child killer was the worst thing you could be in that game. Instead of limiting the player's actions and making the game realistic, I think they should've done like the earlier games and just punished the player for that. And like Bjossi stated, you would be left with remorse if you killed a kid by accident. Think of it this way. If they HAD left all that stuff in, we would be having 24 news stories on people freaking out on this super ultraviolent game, and it would instantly get an A/o rating. The first two Fallouts could get away with it because they weren't scary first person shooters, so the media didn't care as much...

I'm going through Half Life 2 on hard mode for the first time. And I must say, shotgun guys tick me off! >.< Seriously, they wipe out like half your health in no time! They're worse than gunships! Speaking of which, frick they take a lot of rockets to take down... But I digest, I have a lot of fun on hard. It makes finding clever ways around obstacles all the more fun!

Where's Fallout 3 on that list? :derp: But for cereal here, I haven't played this series before, so I'm wondering... I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I'm not much of a fantasy person. Would I enjoy this series? And if so, which would be a good starting point?

When did Jack Noir say that? I don't remember that happening in the comic...
-
Yup. I totally thought the same thing... So hard... You have no idea...
-
And now we just have to wait a month to see it!

Blast Pit is significantly larger. I didn't really see any resemblance when I played it. Cylindrical thing in the middle of a giant-ass room with glowing green far below it, suspended by pipes and cables. Are you talking about that one room at the end of the 2nd Star Wars movie?

That was a cut bit for when Caroline was about to be turned into GLADoS. J.K. Simmons (voice of Cave Johnson) asked that they remove it because it really kinda ruined the humour of the game, and made Cave Johnson's character at lot less funny. Needless to say, the writers agreed.

While the whole not using health boxes thing makes sense, why not the suit chargers? I mean, he hasnt even responded to one. I'd at least expect a "What is that? A gas pump?".

In all seriousness, this is a dire situation.

You liked space balls? That's amazing. Most people who I've talked to that have seen it, said they didn't like it at all. I wasn't implying that it's lazy humor at all. What I meant was, it's sort of "goofy" humor (if you will). And yes, Space balls basically started the _____ Movie crap. Scary Movie1 was the only one that I liked out of all of them. WHAT?! Spaceballs did NOT start that garbage! I mean, sure, it was one of Mel Brooks' weaker movies (but still really good) but it is actually clever, not like those trashy excuses for comedy! Also, those idiots who make them credit Airplane! more for their "inspiration" which is also an insult to Airplane!, but you get the idea... -

Are you implying that Spaceballs is lazy humour? I certainly hope not... Now if you were talking about those terrible _____ Movies instead, then yeah, those are shameful to enjoy. But in that case I wouldn't even respond due to sheer disgust. -
33 & 34 Green?! It's a sign of the apocalypse!

Gah, even I'm getting sick of the wait! Come on, hurry up, the world's ending tomorrow! I at least want to see episode 33! -

Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that the satellite from the first game was also used then as well, too... Because they mention the previously established satellite network. As for reactions in game, I kinda felt the way Freeman did when I played through. As in, just following aloung the rail pressing buttons for no reason. I really had no idea what was going on, either... -
A friend on my floor was all like "Hey, you should check this out." and I did. That's pretty much it...

Of course. The way Machinima uploads, we certainly have enough time to talk. -
I wonder what will happen when Gordon fights the Nihilanth.

When I watched my old roommate get to that part, I always referred to it as a giant freak baby. The thing is creepy as all get out. -

I always assumed that the poncho was issued by Black Mesa. Afterall, it's the same poncho that everyone in the future run by Black Mesa's administrator, Dr. Breen, wears. He just bumped the program up from Black Mesa to the world. -

I kinda expect Half Life 3 to be the point where humanity takes the fight to the Combine, taking place on other worlds and whatnot. Thus Episode Three would be the bridge to get them to that point. I don't know, I just think that if they will go to full Half Life 3, it's gunna be a much bigger jumping point, much like how different Half Life 2 was to Half Life 1. -
What bothers me about a few episodes of Freeman's Mind
Descriptor replied to Michael Archer's topic in Freeman's Mind
Can be explained in two realiastic ways I know. One is the light ammo box the other "astronauts" you see when on the alien world, are using, could have a neutral value of gravity inside therefore making the weapons easy to carry. The second is he has the 9mm gun and the grenade and ammo strapped around the waist, the crowbar, crossbow, shotgun, mp5 on the back. The suit itself could be made out of a quantum material making it easier to move around. A quantum material? I don't think science works that way... Quantum basically refers to just something that has a discrete quantity, as in, it isn't broken down further, like particles and whatnot. It's not just a buzzword that makes something sound more science-y, although that's generally how it's used... I'd say it's more reasonable that the suit just does the heavy lifting... -

It's the, uh, suit doing it. Yeah, that's it... The suit.... It's a very good suit... -

The Glock thing is him just not REALLY knowing anything about guns (just what he sees on TV), so it's prolly not a glock he has but some other pistol... Also, why not use a pistol when not in immediate danger? Yeah, it shoots slower, but when else would you use it? Using the pistol to "clean up" like that is fairly common with gamers, in my experience... -
Favorite Portal 2 Quotes or Moments (Spoilers)
Descriptor replied to GoodOddsAgainst's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
No, it makes sense. Going in one takes to another, and then going into that one would take you to the third. Naturally this would be very confusing, though. For an example, see the traffic light portals in Problem Sleuth. -

For the record here, the Half Life split offs are officially semi-cannon until further notice. In other words, they confirm things when they confirm things and not a moment sooner. So Shephard isn't necessarily out of the picture yet... -
I thought that the Black Mesa incident occurred on May 16th... I remembered because that would be the day before my birthday...
