That I don't have others. OT: Going to sleep. Or going to try to. Never guaranteed with me being this sick. I always have trouble sleeping when I'm ill.

What are you talking about? Normal conversations are heated when Seattleite is in them, nothing untoward about it. I don't take offense, and hopefully he realizes that none of what I say is intended as an offense either. (I think he does, because of how we were extremely friendly with half of a post, and throwing insults in the other half, in the thread about his mod) I meant more between Seattleite and Psycho. It's only about 2 threads for now but I fear it'll spread to others if not addressed further. :S

Well if the flu doesn't kill me first then you guys can have your shot. OT: Lamenting how that's quite possibly the darkest joke I've made in a while and about to continue the darkness by playing Killing Floor 2.

In terms of historical events linking, I'm pretty sure a lot of political actions and wars in this day and age are in some way linked to WWI. After all a lot of countries were affected by that war for a very long time. Now if we have an established location for the topic I suggest we take it over there to conduct CIVIL discussions and breakdowns about how they may link. Furthermore can you two not keep throwing jabs at each other like this? It's tiring to read and bringing down my mood (and possibly others as well) And before you say it, no I don't care who started it. Just please stop it.

Laying in bed feeling like death. Turns out it wasn't a cold. It's flu. :S

The funniest and kinda saddest thing about growing up is that I still want to run around and gush about all the cool things I learn every day but I feel like no one cares anymore or thinks it's weird for an adult to get as hyper and stoked about learning things as I do. Like every day I'm suppressing the urge to run around and shout about how awesome it is that you can freeze liquid nitrogen by evacuating the air out of it's container and how before it freezes it actually boils while dropping temperature. Or how Mercury is so dense that a solid steel ball will float on top of it as if it were a boat on water. Or that water cannot be raised higher than 10 meters via suction or it'll create a vacuum inside the tube which will boil the water at room temperature, and that trees are capable or raising water hundreds of meters without causing that to happen. God I'm such a nerd.

25% is an infinitely higher scaled increase when the previous was nothing at all. You gotta remember that when marketing actual products you have a number of fee's you have to pay for a number of different things so in the end you're still making roughly the same amount of money off the product. Maybe a little higher percentage for content you make on a licensed engine but this is all content made on free software, being hosted on a companies platform, all costs required to do so covered by that company. And in the end it's all optional. If the developer wants to make some money off it, well then now they can. It's not as much as a full title but it's more than the 0 they got before.

I think it's a great idea. Mod developers can now make some money off of their content where they got 0 before on top of not needing to pay fee's for licensing and fee's for hosting. The amount of money they net from that would be roughly the same either way except now they don't have to risk losing invested money if it doesn't pan out.

Well my day was effectively ruined. I didn't need to see someone get shot after an April Fools joke gone bad. Who the fuck puts this shit online? Who the fuck even wants to see it?

Sick and a mix between genuinely happy and miserable. Miserable because sick but genuinely happy because my donations to an artist and friend helped him keep his house.

I have absolutely no way to tell if I'd be a good mod or not anymore because the last time I was was over 6 years ago. I wasn't bad back then(I like to tell myself) but you never know how one would be with that much time in between. I pretty much stopped when the administrator dumped the dying husk of his website on me and fled in an attempt to leave me with the blame. No one bought it but I still felt really upset by that move for a long time since I trusted those people. I'm not naming the site though. I'm not going to be that guy, especially since it's been 6 years. But I do have a passionate dislike against abusive staff members because of it, and have left a lot of communities I used to like outright because of that. After all, the staff is a good judge of the site's owners. If the staff are power abusive and rude, and the site owners turn a blind eye, I don't want to be there anymore.

Interestingly enough you sound only slightly different than I imagined (I have a voice assigned to everyone's post. I'm weird like that) I'm listening to someone singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" on a stream.

Killing Floor 2. I'm so happy to be playing one of my favorite Coop games with proper hit detection, greater feeling guns, and amazing animations
-
I was playing Bloodborne but the game decided to be a fuck so I'm taking a break.

Although the people who take time out of everyone's day for the infamous "they're*" response can pack their bags and leave and they WILL NOT be missed.

Watching an artist stream. I just got done with yet another KF2 match and I need a break to eat.
-
Watching sciency stuff on youtube and having my mind pleasantly blown.

Those floors got destroyed.

Killing Floor 2 finishes downloading in 15 minutes! I'm so psyched to kill me some floors!

I like to think my situation is pretty ideal if there were an actual zombie apocalypse. My house is in a quiet small neighborhood with only one road into it in the foothills of a mountain. There are several natural growing edible fruits and vegetables as well as some gardens around. Access to the mountains allows for hunting and I do have my own bow should it come to that. Assuming none of the zombies figure out how to get up there without falling off the cliff next to the canyon road, the road into the neighborhood is very narrow and would be relatively simple to block. All our drinking water comes from a natural well up there so even if we lose power and running water I can always tap into that. Feeling quite happy. This past month I've made someones entire week and contributed to helping a favorite artist keep his house through donation. Something about making other people happy and feel good makes me feel good in return.

How to Save a Life - The Fray

The thing is BTG is I don't have a problem with the pros / cons of both. I recognize them. What I'm sick and tired of seeing are the invasive behaviors of the ones that use "fag" as a comma and take this attitude that because they have this shiny machine on top of a desk instead of in front of a TV they are somehow this transcendent human being when in actuality, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. If someone was asking something like "Hey I want to start playing games but I'm not sure whether to get a console or a PC" then I'd be amazingly happy to see someone listing the good and bad of both. But that almost never happens, at least not where I see these discussions. In case you were wondering, this rant was triggered by me trying to find information on how to fix my GTA V frame drops and after 3 completely different websites all I found was the console and PC idiots fighting each other for one reason or another. When someone's looking for help fixing what they have "get it one something else" is an ultimately useless answer. The Reddit group PC Master Race that goes onto other sites and makes these posts like they're a priest are easily my least favorite people. Not only are they everywhere they don't need to be, but they make these long winded posts about some "reckoning" and only the true gamers will be saved or some obnoxious garbage when the thing they're posting on was a site story akin to "This game looks good I can't wait to play it" And yes, if asked, I would suggest a PC over console for a lot of the reasons you explained. I'm just sick and tired of people who not only base their entire identity off a meme but somehow got it into their heads that it made them a god. At the end of the day, if you're happy with your purchase, right-fucking-on. Don't let anyone take that from you.

Yo but like what if?
