You're right in that it isn't random. Computers don't know how to do true random. All RNG's are built on a seed of consistent numbers. say if you were to use an RNG without ever changing the seed it uses then no matter how many times you run the program you'd always get, for example, 5, 19, 44, 11, 47, 99, 2, 83. You could run it 100+ times and it'd always return those numbers. There's a ton of ways to change the seed it uses every time it's launched and most modern engines do that anyways taking that burden off the programmer. As for Fallout, it all depends on the method of number generation. In my experiences with working with RNG's rapidly generating a series of numbers in a small time span(say, once a frame) can result in returning a series of the same number. For example when I was fiddling around with a basic procedural level generator I would use an RNG to determine how many doors a room would get and where it would go. On far to many occasions to be simple coincidence it would generate all the rooms in a straight line. If the game is generating all its chances at the start of a battle then you're likely to get chunks of the same numbers. This could even happen if they role it once every attack since you'll be rolling all the same numbers as the first method except slower. The simplest way to avoid that is to have the RNG continuously rolling numbers in the background and using whatever number it's currently on when the attack is called. Not saying Fallout did this as I don't know there method of generation but this is just one theory. *shrug*

My biggest fear for this thread is that it's gonna become a hostile place for anyone who will happen to enjoy the game. Everyone who doesn't seem to like it is being awfully intimidating in the presentation of their distaste. I will say I am genuinely surprised though. Never before have I seen such passionate backlash after a mere trailer. I mean I've seen similar in the past a lot but never anything this intense so fast.

The thing is though outside the law side of things(work place, etc) sexism is still very much real. If anything, this is what the feminist movement should be focusing their efforts towards, and in a way a lot of them are. Don't get me wrong. I respect the movement but there's not much I hate more than people who find every opportunity to rub it in the worlds face or spends all day blogging about it on tumblr like that's gonna actually stop fix the problem in any way shape or form. They claim "It's to raise awareness!" Well at this point the world is pretty much aware. If you're trying to tell the sexists they're being sexist, well they probably already know and don't care. Ranting about it on a blog is simply annoying, not helpful. I hate SJW's so much. They trot around like they're the face of justice but never actually do anything to help. They're like that guy in a movie that spends the whole fight cowering behind something and when it's over he walks out and says something like "well, that was no trouble at all. All thanks to me, of course!"

This is exactly what bothers me. Don't speak for us. Don't put words in our mouth. Doing so means you don't really know us which after, what, 3 years on this site, really makes me wonder how much you even care for anyone here. We have read what you said. We countered what you said. We have the experiences and knowledge to safely say there is nowhere near as many hackers as you claim. If anything, you're not reading what WE say. We've given you calm explanations time and time again in multiple threads and you just brush us off. We have literally several thousand hours of collective gameplay spread amongst the 4+ of us. your 50 something hours of time in the game is a drop in the ocean compared to all our experiences with the game and all our stories line up and yet you STILL refuse to admit that, "hey, maybe I'm not as good at this game as I thought!" No, you do not. You always make these extraordinary claims without any proof, acting like your word is absolute and you couldn't possibly be wrong about anything you ever say. You expect to be believed to the word no matter the subject and if someone calls you out, you change your story. When people still doubt you, then suddenly it's passive aggressive city and "well clearly I know everything and since you won't believe me when I'm so obviously right, I'm outta here." Try this, actually prove the shit you say. Give videos, evidence, something you've NEVER done. All you ever give is your word and you know what? I'm done taking your word on things. The next time you come in with extraordinary claim, you better be ready to make me believe it with unbiased sources. keyword UNBIASED. Alright, BYE!

The definition of feminism, at least according to wikipedia, is "Feminism is a range of movements and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women." Which is noble. It technically is an equal rights activist group since it's about granting women the same rights as men. But somewhere along the line a bunch of vengeful people twisted the meaning to "make women more powerful then men. Flip the oppression." and you have the loud variety everybody loves to hate. Places like Tumblr are mostly to blame for that. Feminist: a good cause about equality for men and women. Feminazi: a skewed ideology that believes that striping all rights of men will solve everything. Think they're feminists. As I like to say, "Revenge isn't justice."

As with all groups everywhere, the worst speak the loudest, and the loudest become the face of the movement. There are feminists out there that look upon the aptly named "feminazi's" with embarrassment because actions that warrant that name ultimately work against the cause which would otherwise be noble. Same for the LGBT community, religion, politics, ,even bronies, and furries. Anything and everything with a large enough group of people will fall victim to this. And thank you Binky.

Finishing up taking the GFX card out of my desktop to ship it out for replacement. Fans were faulty making the card overheat and eventually shut off completely. What a stressful day...

These "gay rights assholes" exist because they need to. As someone apart of the LGBT community I can say with certainty that we are also sick and tired of having people shove their idea's of right and wrong(an entirely subjective point of view) down our throats when it's none of their business to begin with. Thankfully I haven't seen more than a handful of people actually believe there's a sexuality that's better than another but all of the one's I have met are generally shunned by the rest of the LGBT community. I'm just really annoyed about all of this because I've never rubbed my sexuality in anyone's face, even going as far to only bring it up when the conversation warrants it(usually only telling people I know even then), and yet I'm still a "problem" to people because THEY can't learn to understand that it's my fucking life and they need to stop telling me how to live it, especially when my life isn't encroaching on anyone else's! There are religious homosexuals and I'm sure they would like to have the proper ceremonies. Other's probably just like the idea in that it makes it feel official to them. All depends on the couple and their upbringing.
